Hello and thanks for listening to part two of Surrendering the Sword. In this episode, we’ll review Nobuo Fujita’s extraordinary and controversial return visit to Brookings, Oregon in 1962. The visit, orchestrated by the local Jaycees club, came 20 years after Nobuo’s historic flight over the Southern Oregon Coast Range, a mission that made him the only enemy pilot to bomb the mainland United States in WWII. Here’s the link to the remarkable documentary film by Ilana Sol referenced toward the end of this podcast: https://www.samuraiintheoregonsky.com/ This podcast was written and produced by Greg Oberst. Sound effects and music by Purple Planet, Sound Bible, and Storyblocks. Thanks again. Greg
