Psalms for the Soul: Psalm 79: Daily Bible Study, Daily Devotional, Hearing Jesus Psalm 79 shows us a powerful example of intercessory prayer on behalf of Israel. Reminding God, through prayer, about His promises on behalf of others can be a way for us to feel like we can help in prayer when it seems like there is nothing we can do. Not unlike today, Israel was in a desperate situation spiritually, politically, and economically. Today’s Key Verse: Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.
