Welcome back to 2008, and welcome to Judging Judy! This case comes to us from May 1st, and features cases about stolen phones and wrecked cars. We’ve got a divorced couple fighting it out and two former friends doing battle. We’ve got lots of yelling, care of Judy, too! But, will we have justice?! Our second case has a plaintiff who says her car got wrecked by a jealous girlfriend. The defendant says that it wasn’t her fault and that the plaintiff parked there at her own risk. There’s also the matter of the defendant’s boyfriend cheating on her and not wearing pants in the courtroom, but we’ll let Judy sort out that mess! All of this, of course, leads up to the most important part of the show: when we get to Judge Judy. Because Judy shouldn’t be the only one making a ruling! For over 25 years, Judy has cast judgement on us without nary an opportunity for us to do the same. Well, that’s over! However, just six days after she moved in with him, they were on the outs and she found herself with no job and no where to live. She wants to be compensated for upending her life. He says she’s crazy and was in fear for his life. Will the judge see things her way or will she side with the defendant and decide that getting dumped doesn’t mean you get paid?Case 2 features an abusive boyfriend who wants history stuff back from his ex. Despite beating his then-girlfriend and breaking down the door of their former apartment, he says he just wants to be friends. Oh, and he wants back his computer and his grill, too. She says he’s in violation of his restraining order and, despite whatever she may have once felt for him, he’s a creep. I can confirm, he is a creep, but the judge will have to decide if that’s grounds for him not getting back his stuff.After all that, it’s up to us to pass judgement on the judge herself.
