Best Comedy Podcasts 2026: Top 20 Shows Ranked by Data
How this comedy podcast ranking is built
CastFox tracks the Apple Podcasts Comedy category every day and keeps the history, so this is chart data rather than an editor's shortlist. Between February 24 and September 8, 2026 we took 24 snapshots of the category top 100, saw 164 different shows pass through it, and followed each one across every country chart Apple publishes. The order below follows the most recent snapshot, so it moves as the chart moves.
Comedy is one of the steadiest of the big Apple categories. 58 of those 164 shows held a top 100 place in every single snapshot, and the very top barely moves: The Joe Rogan Experience sat at number one in all 24, Good Hang with Amy Poehler averaged rank 2.4 and SmartLess 3.2. International reach varies far more than rank does. Joe Rogan holds a top 100 spot in 77 countries and Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend in 74, while The Bobby Bones Show charts in one.
The category covers much more than stand-up. Celebrity interviews, Reddit story readers, rewatch podcasts, news quizzes and true crime told with jokes all file under Comedy on Apple, which is why Small Town Murder and Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! share this chart with KILL TONY. Each entry links to its full CastFox profile with audience estimates, chart history by country, reviews and contact details. For the version ranked by consistency across all 24 snapshots rather than by today's position, read the companion post above.
