Teresa Mastin is Michigan State University’s vice provost and associate vice president for faculty and academic staff affairs. In this role she is responsible for envisioning, leading and implementing the university’s strategic commitment and priority to advance faculty and academic staff success in addition to fostering an academic climate of respect, care, diversity, equity and inclusion at the university. She just completed a term as president of The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. She visited the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Journalism & Mass Communications in early October to visit with students, faculty and staff.
