| 6/22/26 | ![]() #129 Dennis Banks - Collingwood FC Legend | This week Brian and Harrison skip the entrée and go straight to the main… Collingwood fan favourite, Dennis Banks, and with Dennis and BT having played together at the Collingwood Football Club during the 1980s, you’d wonder whether this was setup as an interview or an excuse to catch up. The boys wind back the clock to their playing days at Victoria Park, sharing stories from an era when footy was a little rougher, a little looser, and packed with larger-than-life characters. From life inside the Collingwood Football Club to the friendships that have lasted decades, Dennis reflects on the moments and people that shaped his career. As one of the Magpies' most popular figures, Dennis also talks about what made Collingwood such a unique club and the passion of its supporters. Of course, BT can't help but revisit a few old stories, with Dennis more than happy to remind him that memory can be a selective thing. The result is plenty of laughs, some classic footy yarns, and the kind of easy banter that only comes from a friendship that's stood the test of time. They discuss the pressure of reporting live, the importance of trust in the industry, and the challenge of delivering news when everyone seems to have an opinion. Along the way, Seb's trademark wit is on full display. Sharp, thoughtful, and incredibly funny, he keeps BT on his toes throughout while also offering a fascinating perspective on the media industry and the world around us. Beyond cars, Nick has an immense business acumen, but it wasn't smooth sailing to get to where he is. He had modest upbringing during the 50s and 60s in the working class suburb of Coburg, the son of Cyprian migrants, Nick, and eventually, his wife Carol (co-founder of the dealership), had to take risks to get ahead, putting almost everything they had on the line more than once. Nick is the epitome of a rags to riches story, and what it means to live the 'Australian dream', we enjoyed this conversation, we hope you do as well.
