| 10/18/26 | San Diego State STUNS Fresno State! Aztecs WIN Oil Can Rivalry in WILD Pac-12 Finish! | San Diego State football defeats Fresno State 26-23 in a dramatic Pac-12 rivalry showdown! The Aztecs bounce back from an embarrassing loss to Oregon State, reclaim the Oil Can and keep their bowl eligibility hopes alive with a thrilling homecoming victory. After allowing 66 points against Oregon State, Sean Lewis and the San Diego State Aztecs faced serious questions about their defense, quarterback situation and direction of the program. But the Aztecs delivered when it mattered most. San Diego State held Fresno State to just 276 total yards and limited the Bulldogs to four third-down conversions on 13 attempts. Lucky Sutton powered the rushing attack with 110 yards on 18 carries, while Javion Kennard added 77 yards as the Aztecs finished with 204 rushing yards. Quarterback Jayden Denegal exited with an apparent lower-body injury, forcing Stone Saunders into action for his first appearance since returning from injury. Could Saunders become San Diego State's starting quarterback moving forward? We break down the quarterback controversy, the Aztecs' defensive turnaround and the dramatic finish that included a massive 60-yard game-winning field goal. Meanwhile, Fresno State suffered another frustrating rivalry defeat after previously falling to Boise State. Jayden Mandal finished with 141 passing yards, while the Bulldogs continued struggling to establish offensive consistency and defend opposing rushing attacks. A missed extra point also proved costly in a game that could have unfolded very differently. With Fresno State preparing for Oregon State following its bye week, Matt Entz faces significant questions about the Bulldogs' ability to compete with the Pac-12's top teams. Can San Diego State build on this victory and reach bowl eligibility? And is Fresno State heading in the wrong direction? #Pac12Football #SanDiegoState #FresnoState Photo Credit: Marco Garcia -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/16/26 | Texas State HUMILIATES Colorado State! Brad Jackson EXPOSES Rams Defense! | Texas State football absolutely demolished Colorado State 66-27 in a stunning Pac-12 showdown, piling up 716 total yards and an incredible 503 rushing yards in one of the most dominant offensive performances of the season. The Bobcats scored 66 points through three quarters, delivered eight rushing touchdowns and completely overwhelmed a Colorado State defense that continues to struggle under Jim Mora. Brad Jackson led the charge with 213 passing yards, 181 rushing yards and four total touchdowns, while Torrance Burgess Jr. exploded for a career-high 224 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Jalen Jenkins added another 78 rushing yards and a touchdown as Texas State's offensive line dominated from start to finish. We break down how G.J. Kinne's offense responded after the disappointing loss to San Diego State and why the Bobcats could become a dangerous team in the Pac-12 race. At 3-3, Texas State suddenly has a realistic opportunity to reach bowl eligibility and potentially climb the conference standings. But what happened to Colorado State? The Rams have now lost four consecutive games, and their defense has surrendered 59, 56 and 66 points in its last three outings. Even after a defensive coordinator change, Colorado State couldn't slow down Texas State's rushing attack. We examine the defensive breakdowns, Que'Son Farrar's performance at quarterback and why getting Hauss Hejny healthy could be critical to Colorado State's chances of turning its season around. Plus, we look ahead to Washington State vs. Oregon State and Fresno State vs. San Diego State as another important Pac-12 weekend continues. For the second consecutive week, a Pac-12 team has scored 66 points against a conference opponent. Which defensive performance was worse: Colorado State against Texas State or San Diego State against Oregon State? #Pac12Football #TexasStateFootball #ColoradoStateFootball Photo Credit: Matt Bush-IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/15/26 | Washington State's Owen Eshelman Era BEGINS! Can He SAVE the Cougars?! | Washington State football is making a major quarterback change as Owen Eshelman takes over the starting job ahead of the Cougars' rivalry matchup against Oregon State. But can the redshirt freshman turn around one of the most disappointing offenses in college football? Kirby Moore has already made changes to Washington State's offensive play-calling responsibilities, and now he's turning to Eshelman after Caden Pinnock struggled through the first six games. Chad Kebba of UpWest Sports and the Palouse Playbook joins Locked On Pac-12 to discuss why this quarterback change could provide the spark Washington State desperately needs. We examine Eshelman's leadership, decision-making and potential to improve an offense that has struggled with consistency, third-down conversions and explosive plays. But the problems go beyond quarterback. Washington State is still searching for a reliable No. 1 receiver following Tony Freeman's injury, while Trey Lechner's return could provide a much-needed boost at tight end. Then we turn our attention to Saturday's matchup in Corvallis. Oregon State enters the game with momentum under first-year head coach JaMarcus Shephard, while Washington State hopes to turn its season around under Moore. Could former Oregon State head coach and current Washington State defensive coordinator Trent Bray provide a significant advantage against his former team? We also address the growing discussion surrounding Washington State general manager Brad Larrondo and whether criticism of the Cougars' roster construction and talent evaluation is justified. Finally, we discuss the future of Washington State football, why patience with Moore's rebuilding process matters and what Cougars fans should realistically expect moving forward. Can Owen Eshelman deliver a fresh start and help Washington State shock Oregon State? #WashingtonState #GoCougs #Pac12 Photo Credit: James Snook -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/13/26 | Oregon State Is TAKING OVER the Pac-12! Can Washington State Get Right? | Oregon State football is becoming one of the biggest stories in the Pac-12, and JaMarcus Shephard has the Beavers looking like a legitimate conference championship contender after their 66-14 demolition of San Diego State. But can Washington State and former Oregon State head coach Trent Bray find a way to slow down Braden Atkinson and Jesse LeGree? Ryan Harlan of Beaver Blitz joins Locked On Pac-12 to break down Oregon State's remarkable turnaround, the culture Shephard has established in Corvallis and Saturday's rivalry showdown against Washington State. The Beavers are 4-2 after winning just two games last season, and their explosive offense continues to improve. Jesse LeGree is generating national attention, Braden Atkinson is playing outstanding football, and Shephard refuses to let his team become complacent. Even after scoring 66 points against San Diego State, Shephard challenged his players to improve. We discuss why that mentality is transforming Oregon State and whether the Beavers deserve more attention in the AP Top 25. Meanwhile, Washington State is facing a very different situation. Kirby Moore has taken over offensive play-calling duties, and Owen Eshelman is preparing to replace Caden Pinnock at quarterback. Can the Cougars find an offensive spark in a hostile environment? We also examine Trent Bray's return to Corvallis, Washington State's defensive approach against LeGree, and whether Oregon State's offense has any weaknesses opponents can exploit. Plus, why have Shephard and Moore experienced such different starts to their first seasons despite the challenges both programs faced following Pac-12 realignment? Could Oregon State move to 5-2 and take another step toward a national ranking? | 10/11/26 | Fresno State's BIGGEST Problem EXPOSED by Boise State! Are the Bulldogs Still Pac-12 Contenders? | Fresno State football fell 38-31 to Boise State in the Battle for the Milk Can, but Matt Entz and the Bulldogs still have plenty to play for in the Pac-12 championship race. Did Fresno State prove it belongs among the conference's best teams despite the loss? We're joined by Al Scott of Fresno Sports Magazine to break down Fresno State's performance against Boise State, the biggest concerns moving forward and why the Bulldogs still have a realistic path to the Pac-12 Championship Game. Jayden Mandal delivered one of his more productive performances, throwing for over 200 yards and two touchdowns without committing a turnover. But Fresno State struggled to establish its rushing attack. With Rayshon Luke and Bryson Donelson dealing with injuries, the Bulldogs couldn't consistently run the football behind an offensive line that's also battling injuries. And the defensive struggles were just as concerning. Boise State rushed for 274 yards behind Dylan Riley and Sire Gaines, converting all four fourth-down attempts and controlling the second half. Fresno State had just three offensive possessions after halftime. We examine whether Matt Entz's defense has a growing problem stopping the run, why the Bulldogs struggled in the trenches and what needs to change before their next matchup. But the season is far from over. At 4-2, Fresno State still has opportunities against San Diego State, Oregon State, Utah State, Texas State and Colorado State. Could the Bulldogs finish with nine wins and earn another opportunity to face Boise State in the Pac-12 Championship? We discuss why the Oregon State matchup could determine Fresno State's championship hopes, whether the Bulldogs can get healthy during their upcoming bye week and why there's still reason for optimism in Fresno. Plus, we recognize Fresno State legend Logan Mankins joining the program's Ring of Honor. The Bulldogs lost the Milk Can, but their championship hopes are still alive. #FresnoState #Pac12Football #BoiseState Photo Credit: Mark J. Rebilas -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/11/26 | Oregon State Is TERRIFYING the Pac-12! Beavers EMBARRASS San Diego State | Oregon State football just sent a massive warning to the entire Pac-12 Conference with a dominant 66-14 victory over San Diego State. JaMarcus Shephard's Beavers have won four straight games, and it's becoming impossible to ignore what's happening in Corvallis. Is Oregon State the best team in the Pac-12? Braden Atkinson delivered another outstanding performance, completing 29 of 38 passes for 409 yards and five touchdowns. But the biggest story continues to be true freshman wide receiver Jesse LeGree. LeGree finished with 10 receptions for 191 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the first Oregon State receiver to record six consecutive 100-yard games. And he's doing it at just 18 years old. Could Jesse LeGree become a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender? We break down Oregon State's explosive offense, its improving rushing attack and why the Beavers' defense might be the most underrated part of their four-game winning streak. With Oregon State sitting at 4-2 and its only losses coming against Houston and Texas Tech, there's suddenly a much bigger conversation developing. Could the Beavers finish 10-2, win the Pac-12 Championship and make a serious College Football Playoff argument? Meanwhile, San Diego State is heading in the opposite direction. Sean Lewis and the Aztecs were completely overwhelmed, managing just 56 rushing yards while Oregon State piled up 651 yards of total offense. Quarterback Jayden Denegal struggled again, completing just five of 19 passes for 78 yards. Is it time for San Diego State to make a quarterback change? And how much responsibility does Sean Lewis deserve for the Aztecs' disappointing season? We examine both programs, the growing gap between Oregon State and San Diego State, and what this result means for the Pac-12 championship race. Oregon State isn't just winning football games anymore. The Beavers are making a statement. #OregonState #Pac12Football #SanDiegoState Photo Credit: Andrew Rydland -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/10/26 | Utah State's UGLY Win over Washington State Could Change EVERYTHING! | YouTube Description Utah State football pulled off a stunning 17-16 comeback victory over Washington State, overcoming a 16-3 halftime deficit with 14 unanswered points. Bronco Mendenhall's Aggies are now 2-4, but could this victory be the turning point that saves their 2026 Pac-12 season? It wasn't pretty, but Utah State found a way to win. Grady Brosterhous completed just 11 of 26 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown, connecting with Eli Wood for a crucial score while protecting the football throughout the game. Javon Jacobs added 62 rushing yards on 15 carries, but should Utah State be giving its running back more opportunities? Defensively, the Aggies delivered one of their strongest performances of the season. Asher Cunningham was outstanding, recording two forced fumbles and making plays all over the field as Utah State held Washington State to just 257 total yards. Now the Aggies enter their bye week with momentum and an opportunity to turn things around. With Texas State and Colorado State coming up, followed by Fresno State, San Diego State and Oregon State, is there a realistic path for Utah State to reach bowl eligibility? Meanwhile, Washington State's problems continue. Kirby Moore took over offensive play-calling, but the Cougars managed just one touchdown despite leading 16-3 at halftime. Caden Pinnock struggled to generate consistent offense, Washington State committed 13 penalties for 113 yards, and the Cougars fell to 1-5. Is it time for Moore to make a quarterback change and give Owen Eshelman an opportunity? We break down Utah State's comeback, Bronco Mendenhall's adjustments, the Aggies' remaining schedule and why Washington State's offensive struggles are becoming a major concern. Utah State still has plenty to fix, but this win could change the direction of its season. #UtahStateFootball #Pac12Football #WashingtonState Photo Credit: Rob Gray-IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/9/26 | Kirby Moore Has NO ONE LEFT TO BLAME if Washington State's Offense Fails vs. Utah State | Washington State football is making a major offensive change ahead of its Friday night Pac-12 showdown against Utah State. Head coach Kirby Moore is taking over play-calling duties, but can the Cougars finally get their offense moving and turn their disappointing 2026 season around? Both Washington State and Utah State enter this matchup at 1-4, making this one of the most important games of the season for two struggling Pac-12 programs. Gavin Hyde of UpWest Sports and the Palouse Playbook podcast joins Locked On Pac-12 to break down Kirby Moore's decision, Washington State's quarterback uncertainty and what needs to change offensively. Moore arrived in Pullman with a reputation for offensive success at Missouri, but the Cougars have struggled to consistently move the football. Now that he's calling plays himself, will Washington State finally establish its running game? The quarterback situation is another major storyline. Caden Pinnock appears to be the likely starter, although Washington State has given multiple quarterbacks practice opportunities. Could we see another quarterback rotation involving Dugger or Eshelman if the offense struggles? We also examine Washington State's offensive line, missed blitz pickups, questionable play-calling against Fresno State and why establishing the run could make a significant difference. Meanwhile, Utah State has quarterback questions of its own with McCae Hillstead and Grady Brosterhous both receiving opportunities against Boise State. Could this Friday night matchup feature multiple quarterbacks from both teams? Gavin also explains why improving time of possession, generating more first downs and making better offensive decisions are critical for Washington State moving forward. With Utah State favored by 5.5 points, can Kirby Moore lead the Cougars to a much-needed road victory in Logan? Or will Washington State continue struggling in its first season under Moore? #WashingtonState #Pac12Football #UtahState Photo Credit: James Snook -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/8/26 | Washington State vs. Utah State: Which Pac-12 Team Is in BIGGER TROUBLE? | Boise State vs. Fresno State headlines a huge weekend of Pac-12 football, while Oregon State looks to continue its offensive dominance against San Diego State and Washington State faces Utah State in a critical matchup between struggling programs. Colton Poole of The Poole Report joins Locked On Pac-12 for a complete preview of all three conference games. The Milk Can rivalry takes center stage as Boise State travels to Fresno State. Spencer Danielson's Broncos have emerged as a College Football Playoff contender behind Maddox Madsen and Dylan Riley, who leads the nation with 685 rushing yards. But Matt Entz has Fresno State playing physical football, and the Bulldogs have won three straight meetings in the rivalry. Can Boise State finally reclaim the Milk Can, or will Fresno State deliver a major upset? Meanwhile, Oregon State might be playing the best football in the new Pac-12. Brayden Atkinson is coming off a remarkable performance against Colorado State, completing 31 of 34 passes for 427 yards and five touchdowns. Jesse LeGree continues to emerge as one of college football's most explosive receivers, while JaMarcus Shephard's offensive line has allowed just one sack over the last three games. Can Sean Lewis and San Diego State slow down the Beavers after an emotional comeback victory over Texas State? We also break down Washington State vs. Utah State, where both teams enter at 1-4 with major quarterback questions. Kirby Moore is taking over Washington State's offensive play-calling, while Bronco Mendenhall continues searching for answers between Grady Brosterhous and McCae Hillstead. Could this game determine which program has a chance to salvage its season? We discuss coaching pressure, quarterback decisions, offensive line play, defensive improvements, betting spreads and predictions for all three Pac-12 matchups. Three games. Six teams. One important weekend for the new Pac-12. #Pac12 #BoiseState #CollegeFootball Photo Credit: Joe Nicholson, James Snook -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/7/26 | Boise State CONTROLS Its Own College Football Playoff Destiny | Boise State football controls its own College Football Playoff destiny, but the Milk Can rivalry against Fresno State could determine whether the Broncos remain the clear favorite for the Group of 6 playoff spot. Boise State's lone loss came in a close game against Oregon, while wins over Memphis and Western Michigan have strengthened a résumé that could be difficult for another Group of 6 contender to overcome. If the Broncos reach 12-1 with a Pac-12 championship, is there anyone capable of taking the playoff bid away? Colton Poole of The Poole Report joins Locked On Pac-12 to break down Boise State's position compared to James Madison, New Mexico, North Dakota State and UTSA. We also debate whether Boise State could survive a second loss and still remain in the CFP conversation. Oregon State creates another fascinating question. The Beavers have emerged as a Pac-12 contender, but losses to Houston and Texas Tech demonstrate why future nonconference scheduling could become critical for JaMarcus Shepard as Oregon State attempts to build a playoff-caliber résumé. Then we get into the Pac-12 vs. Mountain West debate after Nevada head coach Jeff Choate claimed the Mountain West will be better than the new Pac-12. With Boise State, Oregon State, Fresno State and Washington State leading the new conference, is there actually an argument that the Mountain West will be better? Boise State has the inside track. But one loss could completely reopen the Group of 6 playoff race. #BoiseState #Pac12 #CollegeFootball Photo Credit: Troy Wayrynen -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/7/26 | The Protect College Sports Act Could CHANGE the Pac-12’s Future | The Protect College Sports Act has passed the U.S. Senate, but what could it actually mean for the Pac-12, conference realignment and the future of college athletics? College sports law expert Sam Ehrlich joins Locked On Pac-12 to break down where the legislation stands, why getting through the Senate was significant and the major obstacles it still faces in the House. The Pac-12 has publicly supported the legislation, but there are major questions about whether the bill actually provides meaningful protection against another wave of conference realignment. Ehrlich explains the three-year sunset provision, potential changes to the proposed conference membership cap, the one-time transfer rule and why he believes parts of the legislation could face constitutional questions. There's also a major timing problem. If the House makes material changes, the legislation would have to return to the Senate, creating another hurdle before the next Congress begins. Then we turn back to football. Boise State continues to establish itself as one of the strongest teams in the Pac-12 behind Maddox Madsen, Dylan Riley and a talented defense. But there are concerns about explosive plays allowed by the secondary as the Broncos prepare for the Milk Can rivalry against Fresno State. Could Boise State vs. Fresno State become the Pac-12 Game of the Year? And could Oregon State's explosive passing attack eventually present an even bigger problem for the Broncos? We break down the legislation, the Pac-12 implications and Boise State's path forward. #Pac12 #BoiseState #CollegeSports Photo Credit: Kenny Holston-Pool-IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/7/26 | San Diego State’s New-Look Roster Has SERIOUS Upside Heading into NEW Pac-12 | San Diego State basketball enters the new Pac-12 with NCAA Tournament expectations, but Brian Dutcher faces one of the biggest roster rebuilds of his tenure after the Aztecs missed March Madness last season. San Diego State returns only 17% of its minutes after losing significant talent to the transfer portal. That lack of continuity becomes even more concerning after Rice transfer Nick Anderson, who averaged 15 points per game last season, suffered a knee injury that could cost him essentially the entire year. So who steps up? Elzie Harrington and Tay Simmons are two important returning sophomores who could take major leaps. Harrington shot nearly 44% from three last season, while Simmons has an opportunity to emerge as one of San Diego State's breakout players. The Aztecs also added massive 7-footer Bear Cherry, Boston University transfer Chance Gladden, Latrell Davis and Oregon State transfer Isaiah Sy. International additions could become critical as well, particularly Italian guard David Torresani, who played professionally as a teenager and shot 38% from three. And San Diego State isn't easing this new roster into the season. The Aztecs have exhibitions against Arizona, USC and Long Beach State before a loaded non-conference schedule featuring Colorado, the Players Era Festival, UNLV, BYU and UCLA. Then comes the new Pac-12. Gonzaga enters as the team to beat. Utah State looks dangerous. Colorado State brings significantly more continuity. San Diego State could finish second in this league, but fourth isn't unrealistic either. Can Dutcher put everything together quickly enough to get the Aztecs back into the NCAA Tournament? #SanDiegoState #Aztecs #Pac12 Photo Credit: Isaiah J. | 10/6/26 | Gonzaga’s Davis Fogle Just Put the Pac-12 on NOTICE at Kraziness in the Kennel | Gonzaga basketball's Davis Fogle exploded for 30 points at Craziness in the Kennel, while Utah State basketball landed another historic commitment as the new Pac-12 continues to build serious basketball talent. Fogle was the star of Gonzaga's preseason showcase. The sophomore scored 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting and went 6-of-7 from three in only a 20-minute scrimmage. He also jumped over 7-foot-1 Moussa Diop to win the dunk contest. After averaging 8.6 points in roughly 17 minutes per game as a freshman, Fogle now has a significantly larger role waiting for him. Could he average 16, 17 or even 20 points per game? Could he become an All-American and eventual first-round NBA Draft pick? He wasn't Gonzaga's only standout. Houston transfer Isaiah Harwell scored 17 points and went 4-of-5 from three, potentially making his case for a starting role. Diop showed the rim protection Gonzaga expected, although his offensive game remains a work in progress. Braden Huff should remain a major piece of Mark Few's offense as well. Then there's Utah State. Ben Jacobson hasn't coached a game for the Aggies yet, but Utah State just landed four-star King-Rachell, a top-50 prospect who chose the Aggies over programs including Oregon and San Diego State. That comes only weeks after Utah State landed Crew Fotheringham. The two are now the highest-rated commitments in program history. Could Gonzaga and Utah State eventually become the two programs fighting at the top of Pac-12 basketball? The conference's basketball future is getting interesting fast. #Gonzaga #UtahState #Pac12 Photo Credit: Craig Strobeck-IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/6/26 | Oregon State Might Be the MOST IMPRESSIVE Team in College Football | Oregon State football has gone from 2-10 to one of the most impressive turnaround stories in college football, and JaMarcus Shepard has needed only five games to completely raise the standard in Corvallis. The Beavers are already 3-2 after winning just two games all of last season, but the record doesn't fully explain how different this program looks. Oregon State just demolished Colorado State 56-26 in its Pac-12 opener. Brayden Atkinson threw for 427 yards and five touchdowns, Jesse LeGree caught five passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns, and the running game finally broke through. LeGree has become one of college football's biggest stories. The freshman sits second nationally with 741 receiving yards, trailing Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith by only 82 yards despite having 16 fewer receptions. The conversation about LeGree belonging among the best receivers in the country is becoming impossible to ignore. But this turnaround goes beyond the offense. Oregon State's defense continues to improve under Mike MacIntyre and Court Dennison, creating pressure and disruption despite injuries in the secondary. More importantly, Shepard has changed the expectations. A 30-point Pac-12 win isn't enough anymore. Players and coaches are immediately talking about what needs to improve. The surprise phase is over. Oregon State expects to contend. Next comes San Diego State, which rallied from behind to beat Texas State 31-29 despite significant availability issues. The Aztecs bring a tougher defensive challenge to Corvallis and another opportunity for Oregon State to prove this turnaround is real. Five games into the Shepard era, Oregon State isn't simply better. The entire standard has changed. #OregonState #BeaversFootball #Pac12 Photo Credit: Troy Taormina -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/6/26 | INSANE: Colorado State FIRED Its Defensive Coordinator DURING the Game?! | Colorado State football made one of the wildest coaching changes you'll ever see during its 56-spot allowed against Oregon State. Defensive coordinator Tyson Summers was relieved of his play-calling duties during the game. According to Jim Mora, Summers then made the decision to leave the field and is no longer with the Colorado State football program. That's an unbelievable sequence. But something clearly had to change. Colorado State allowed 59 points against UTSA and followed it by surrendering 56 to Oregon State. That's 115 points over two games and an average of 57.5 points allowed. The timing is bizarre, but the Rams now enter their bye week with an opportunity to completely reset defensively. Kenny McClendon will take over defensive play-calling duties moving forward before Colorado State faces Texas State in a critical Pac-12 matchup. Summers' departure also ends an interesting connection to the previous regime. He served as interim head coach after Jay Norvell was fired before ultimately being retained on Mora's staff. Colorado State tried continuity. Five games into the season, Mora decided it wasn't working. #ColoradoState #Pac12 #CollegeFootball Photo Credit: Isaiah J. | 10/2/26 | Oregon State Is About to PROVE It’s a Pac-12 Contender | Oregon State football has been one of the biggest early surprises in the Pac-12, and now the Beavers have a chance to make a statement against Colorado State in Fort Collins. It's time to start taking Oregon State seriously. Braden Atkinson has been outstanding at quarterback, throwing for nearly 1,500 yards with 11 touchdowns and only two interceptions through four games. Then there's freshman Jesse LeGree. LeGree already has 585 receiving yards, and even double coverage hasn't been enough to consistently slow him down. Add Aaron Butler, Bubba Hampton, Eric Olson and AJ Newberry, and Oregon State suddenly has an offense that can attack defenses from everywhere. Now comes Pac-12 play. Colorado State's defense just surrendered 59 points against UTSA, creating an opportunity for Oregon State to finally establish its running game while continuing to unleash one of the conference's most dangerous passing attacks. There are concerns. Oregon State's secondary is extremely thin, and Colorado State showed it can create explosive plays offensively. But this doesn't look like the Oregon State team we've watched struggle in recent seasons. The Beavers look dangerous. Win convincingly in Fort Collins, and Oregon State shouldn't just be considered a nice early-season story. They belong in the Pac-12 contender conversation. #OregonState #Pac12 #Beavers Photo Credit: Kevin Neri-IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 10/2/26 | Can Utah State SHOCK Boise State in the Pac-12 Opener? | Utah State football finally has some momentum after beating Troy, but now Bronco Mendenhall and the Aggies face their biggest Pac-12 test yet against Boise State on the blue turf. Utah State enters conference play at 1-3, but the record doesn't tell the entire story. The Aggies have faced a difficult schedule, while their defense continues to give them opportunities to compete. Brevin Hamblin earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors after a strong performance against Troy, and Utah State's secondary has emerged as a legitimate strength. The biggest question remains quarterback play. Grady Brosterhous showed encouraging signs against Troy, particularly during two strong second-half touchdown drives. If Utah State can get consistent production from Brosterhous while taking care of the football, this team becomes considerably more dangerous. Then there is Boise State's vulnerability to explosive plays. Before its game against Western Michigan, Boise State had allowed 12 plays of at least 40 yards. Utah State has playmakers such as Eli Wood and Javen Robinson capable of creating those explosive moments. But opportunities could be limited. Utah State has to win the turnover battle, capitalize when Boise State gives up a big play and let its defense keep the game within striking distance. The Aggies haven't won on Boise State's blue turf since the 1990s. Could Bronco Mendenhall finally change that? #UtahState #BoiseState #Pac12 Photo Credit: Rob Gray -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 9/30/26 | Pac-12 Play Is FINALLY Here, and Boise State Controls the CFP Race | Pac-12 conference play has officially arrived, and Boise State enters the first full weekend as the team everyone else is chasing. No. 22 Boise State faces Utah State, Oregon State takes on Colorado State, Fresno State travels to Washington State and Texas State meets San Diego State as the new-look Pac-12 begins conference play. But this weekend is about more than the conference standings. The Group of 6 College Football Playoff race is wide open. Boise State has established itself as the early favorite after building a resume that includes wins over Memphis and Western Michigan, plus a competitive loss at Oregon. The Broncos are ranked and control their path if they continue winning. Who can challenge them? Oregon State has been one of the biggest surprises in the Pac-12 behind quarterback Brayden Atkinson. Washington State remains an intriguing dark horse entering its matchup against Fresno State in Pullman. Then there's North Dakota State. The undefeated Bison have immediately become a legitimate part of the Group of 6 conversation in their first FBS season. If NDSU keeps winning while Boise State eventually stumbles, the CFP debate could become fascinating. Pac-12 play starts now. And so does the race to determine which Group of 6 program gets its shot at the College Football Playoff. #Pac12 #BoiseState #CollegeFootball Photo Credit: Troy Wayrynen -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 9/28/26 | Pac-12 Basketball PRESEASON Power Rankings: Gonzaga No. 1, But Who’s Next? | Pac-12 basketball is almost here, and we're ranking all nine teams before the 2026-27 college basketball season. Gonzaga starts at No. 1, but Utah State, San Diego State and several dark horses could make this conference fascinating. The complete preseason rankings: Gonzaga, Utah State, San Diego State, Colorado State, Oregon State, Boise State, Texas State, Fresno State and Washington State. LOP12_928b_FINAL Gonzaga remains the team to beat despite lingering roster eligibility questions. Braden Huff and Diop give Mark Few potentially the best frontcourt in the Pac-12, while Davis Fogle and Isaiah Harwell add even more upside. Utah State comes in at No. 2 behind potential Pac-12 Player of the Year Mason Falslev. San Diego State remains No. 3 despite significant offseason losses and the injury to Nick Anderson, largely because of Brian Dutcher's track record. LOP12_928b_FINAL Then things get unpredictable. Colorado State's continuity earns the Rams the No. 4 spot, while Oregon State could become one of the conference's biggest wild cards under new head coach Justin Joyner. Josiah Lake returns to lead a dramatically rebuilt Beavers roster loaded with transfer talent. LOP12_928b_FINAL Boise State sits sixth, followed by Texas State, Fresno State and Washington State. Texas State might be particularly dangerous behind DJ Hall, who averaged 15.5 points and eight rebounds as a freshman. Meanwhile, Washington State enters the preseason at No. 9 after another offseason filled with major transfer portal departures. LOP12_928b_FINAL College basketball is almost back. | 9/28/26 | Washington State LOST... But Wazzu May Have Found Something | Washington State football fell to 1-3 after a 34-24 loss to Arizona, but Kirby Moore and the Cougars showed legitimate signs of progress before beginning Pac-12 play against Fresno State. Wazzu led Arizona by multiple scores before Noah Fifita and the Wildcats stormed back. Fifita finished with four touchdown passes, exposing issues in the Washington State secondary, but this looked much more competitive than some of WSU’s previous performances. LOP12_928A_FINAL Caden Pinnock remains one of the biggest storylines. Pinnock made a costly mistake throwing into triple coverage, but he also showed improvement operating outside the pocket and continued battling despite facing pressure. The Cougars need to protect him better as the offensive line continues developing around Jalen Caldwell and the rest of the group. LOP12_928A_FINAL Now comes an opportunity to completely reset the season. Washington State opens Pac-12 play at home against Fresno State, and there may be a clear path toward getting Kirby Moore’s offense going. Rice rushed for 344 yards against Fresno State. Washington State hasn't consistently established the rushing attack Moore wants, but Maxwell Woods, Kirby Voorhees and Leo Pulalasi give the Cougars options in the backfield. LOP12_928A_FINAL If Wazzu can establish the run and Pinnock protects the football, this offense could finally begin looking like the unit envisioned during the offseason. The 1-3 record isn't pretty. But Pac-12 play represents a fresh start. And Washington State has an immediate opportunity against Fresno State to prove this team is moving in the right direction. #WashingtonState #Pac12 #CollegeFootball Photo Credit: James Snook -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 9/27/26 | Fresno State Has FIGURED IT OUT! Are the Bulldogs a Pac-12 Contender? | Fresno State football improved to 3-1 with a 38-24 win over Rice as Jayden Mandal, Rayshawn Luke and the Bulldogs continue emerging as major factors entering Pac-12 play. After the ugly season-opening loss to USC, Fresno State has won three straight. Mandal has been one of the biggest reasons why. He finished 22-of-34 for 210 yards and three touchdowns against Rice while adding 57 rushing yards and committing zero turnovers. Mandal has now gone three consecutive games without a turnover, showing the confidence and composure Fresno State hoped to see when it named him the starting quarterback. LOP12_927_fresno The running game finally broke through as well. Rayshawn Luke exploded for 167 rushing yards as Fresno State finished with 249 yards on the ground. Luke's ability to create explosive runs gives the Bulldogs another dimension alongside Bryson Donaldson and short-yardage back Julius Gillick. LOP12_927_fresno There are still concerns. Fresno State allowed 344 rushing yards against Rice and has yet to score a first-quarter point this season. But this defense continues creating turnovers, with Simeon Harris recording an interception for the third consecutive game. Now the Bulldogs head to Pullman for their Pac-12 opener against Washington State. That matchup could play directly into Fresno State's defensive identity. Young Wazzu quarterback Caden Pinnock has thrown four interceptions through four games, while Fresno State continues finding ways to take the football away. At 3-1, Fresno State enters conference play with an opportunity to establish itself immediately. #FresnoState #Pac12 #CollegeFootball Photo Credit: Kirby Lee -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 9/26/26 | San Diego State COLLAPSES Again! Is Sean Lewis on the Hot Seat? | San Diego State football fell to 1-3 after an ugly 41-16 loss to Toledo, while Colorado State blew an early 14-0 lead in a 59-45 loss to UTSA. Two Pac-12 teams entered Saturday with major opportunities and both walked away with serious questions. San Diego State’s situation is becoming especially concerning. The Aztecs have now lost to UCLA, James Madison and Toledo, all programs with first-year head coaches. Sean Lewis entered 2026 with expectations of competing near the top of the new Pac-12, but SDSU suddenly looks much closer to the bottom. Injuries to Javion Kennard and Lucky Sutton made matters worse against Toledo. The Aztecs managed only 48 rushing yards while allowing Toledo to produce nearly 300 passing yards and 210 yards on the ground. 0926_912_AAAAA_FINAL Colorado State’s loss was completely different. The Rams jumped ahead 14-0 after Mel Brown returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and Kasson Farrar connected on another explosive score. Then UTSA answered with 28 straight points and eventually scored 59. Farrar threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns, but Colorado State's defense couldn't get stops. UTSA threw for 303 yards while adding 239 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Missed tackles, missed interception opportunities and defensive breakdowns completely changed a game Colorado State appeared ready to control. Now both teams have major problems to solve before Pac-12 play begins. #Pac12 #SanDiegoState #ColoradoState Photo Credit: Marco Garcia -IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! | 9/25/26 | Washington State Has a HUGE Opportunity Against Arizona, Kirby Moore Looking for Pac-12 RESPECT | Washington State football gets its biggest opportunity yet under Kirby Moore when the Cougars host Arizona and quarterback Noah Fifita on national television in Pullman. The Cougars finally showed signs of the offensive identity Moore has been trying to establish during their 48-7 win over Duquesne. Caden Pinnick completed 17 of 22 passes, while Maxwell Woods and Kirby Voorhees both surpassed 100 rushing yards as Washington State piled up 316 yards on the ground. LOP12_925_final Now comes the real test. Washington State has shown flashes against Washington and Kansas State, but Arizona provides another opportunity to prove this young program is actually making progress. The Wildcats bring Noah Fifita into Pullman, putting pressure on a Cougars defense that has been inconsistent through the opening weeks. The biggest question may be whether Washington State can establish the same offensive identity against better competition. The Cougars want to run the football, protect their young quarterback and play with the faster tempo that emerged in the second half against Duquesne. Washington State has another national television opportunity on CBS. A win over Arizona would be the first major statement of the Kirby Moore era. Is Wazzu ready to take that step? #WashingtonState #Wazzu #Pac12 Photo Credit: James Snook-IMAGN Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
