Spike Lee and Barry Alexander Brown have had friendship and working relationship that goes back to the early eighties. Barry worked on Spike’s first feature, "She’s Gotta Have It," as the editor of a single scene as well as sound editing the movie. He was the editor of Spike’s next film, "School Daze" and then the following, "Do The Right Thing." He was the editor and the 2nd Unit Director on "Malcom X." Over the last thirty years, Barry has been Spike’s editor on "Crooklyn," "He Got Game," "Summer of Sam," ""25th Hour," "Inside Man," "Bad 25," "Miracle at St. Anna," "Blackkklansman" and now, "Highest 2 Lowest."
