About this episode

The episode explores the disappearance of Maya Millete, her troubled marriage, and the investigation that followed.

In January 2021, 39-year-old mother of three Maya Millete disappeared from her Chula Vista, California home just days before a planned family trip to celebrate her oldest daughter’s birthday. Her loved ones immediately knew something was wrong. As investigators began retracing Maya’s final days, they uncovered a marriage in crisis, plans for divorce, increasingly troubling behavior from her husband Larry Millete, and a bizarre trail of messages involving spell casters.  In Part 1, we look at who Maya was, what was happening inside her marriage, the final day she was seen, and the investigation that slowly began pointing closer to home. ⸻ 🎧Did you know you could listen to this episode ad-free?
