| 9/30/25 | Ep. 020 - Leanne Yau of Polyphilia - Redux | This week's eposide features a replay of one of our earliest interivews on The Convo - Leanne Yau of Polyphilia. Leanne is consistently someone who our guests tell us that they follow and pay attention to in the non-monogamy space, and we wanted to feature this conversation to more listeners. We released this originally as our second podcast ever, so we're pretty sure some of you more recent listeners haven't already heard this. (We also have learned a few things about audio engineering in the past year and change, so this version likely sounds better too, just in case had any concerns. ;) ) MIX Nashville is still running its funding drive; learn more about joining our Founder's Club by visiting www.mixnash.co/give - and thank you in advance for your support. Do you have an idea for a podcast that would help educate and inform the non-monogamy community? If so, reach out to us at booking@mixnash.co and let us know! We're also looking for more guests for Harvey to interview, so if you've got something interesting to say about the non-monogamy world and your place in it, give us a shout! | — | ||||||
| 9/16/25 | Ep. 019 - Elle & Sara of Unicorn Confidential | This week's eposide is the second of two episodes we've dedicated to spotlighting new podcasts that will be debuting this fall; we spoke to Jes about her new podcast, "Love, Amplified with Jes Katz" in Episode 15, and this week we're talking to Elle and Sara about their upcoming podcast, "Unicorn Confidential". A show thats intended to be part discussion, part educational, part confessional and part scandal, Elle and Sara talk with Harvey about all sorts of things in the world of unicorns - so if you're an afficianado of unicorns (or just want to know how to find one in the wild), this episode is definitely one you won't want to miss. Just a reminder - we at MIX Nashville currently have a funding drive going on; you can learn more about joining our Founder's Club by visiting www.mixnash.co/give - and thank you in advance for your support. | — | ||||||
| 9/2/25 | Ep. 018 - Kevin Patterson | Harvey's really been looking forward to having this week's podcast guest on The Convo ever since he had the idea for the show; the author Kevin Patterson, who wrote the book Love Is Not Colorblind. This book is an incredibly well written overview of the person experiences people of color have had in the non-monogamy community while also presenting good explainations and persuasive arguments on why inclusion in our community matters, and why it takes directed effort to make our communities inclusive to everyone, no matter their ethnicity. As we mentioned at the top of the show, we're currently having a funding drive for MIX Nashville - you can learn more about joining our Founder's Club drive (and the cool sticker we failed to mention when talking about it, but we promise, is worth donating for) by visiting www.mixnash.co/give - and thank you in advance for your support. Be kind and stay open! :) | — | ||||||
| 8/19/25 | Ep. 017 - Emily April Allen | Our guest this week is Emily April Allen, a photographer in Nashivlle who focuses her art on documenting the LGBTQIA+ community through portrature and photographing candid takes of participants at queer events. Emily is a supportive ally of the non-monogamy community, and is happy to take photos of your polyamorous wedding or commitment ceremony. Emily's website is full of photographs of joy and happiness in the queer community - do yourself a favor and check it out using this link; you won't be sad you did. :) Do you have an idea for a podcast that would help educate and inform the non-monogamy community? If so, reach out to us at booking@mixnash.co and let us know! We're also looking for more guests for Harvey to interview, so if you've got something interesting to say about the non-monogamy world and your place in it, give us a shout! Be kind and stay open! :) | — | ||||||
| 8/5/25 | Ep. 016 - Roxi Starbottom of MIX Nashville | This week we're getting a little meta on The Convo; our guest is Roxi Starbottom, who is Co-Director of MIX Nashville with Harvey. Roxi and Harvey team up to talk about MIX Nashville as an organization: who we are, what we're trying to do for the non-monogamy community, as well as some discussion of activities MIX offers in Nashville and online. You can find more information about the events discussed in this episode by visiting our website (https://www.mixnash.co) or joining our Discord server. Be kind and stay open! :) | — | ||||||
| 7/22/25 | Ep. 015 - Jes Katz of PolyLabor | Hey hey hey - it's time for another episodes of The Convo! We're talking to Jes Katz of PolyLabor this week, who's on to talk about how incredible work could be if maybe we treated work a little more like we treat relationships in the non-monogamy world. Jes talks about what a better work world we'd be in if people invited consent and encouraged communication and boundary-setting (doesn't that sound nice?), and what we in the non-monogamy world could actually do better if we put some business management principles to work in our personal relationships. Oh - and we are going to talk about a new collaboration between Jes and MIX Nashville in the coming weeks, so make sure you listen through to the end to find out what exciting things are coming up with that! We're still looking for new podcast ideas - and if you have an idea for a podcast that you think would help educate and inform the non-monogamy community, please reach out to us at booking@mixnash.co and let us know! We're also still looking for guests for Harvey to interview on The Convo, so if you've got something interesting to say about the non-monogamy world and your place in it, give us a shout! Be kind and stay open! :) Correction: Jes & Harvey incorrectly refer to Kevin Patterson, author of many books including "Love is Not Color Blind", as "Keith Patterson" - we sincerely regret the error. | — | ||||||
| 7/8/25 | Ep. 014 - Glenda Jordan | Hey everyone - we're back with another episode of The Convo! This week's guest, Glenda Jordan, is an absolutely amazing human that we're all lucky to count as a member of the non-monogamy community. Glenda is, amongst many other things, a visual artist, model, circus performer/entertainer, and public speaker - and we talk about all of those things (and more) during our conversation this week. If you were expecting a new episode of The Panel this week, there's some important news during the first few minutes of this episode explaining why you're getting a Convo instead, and the future of MIX Nashville Presents podcats - so please, continue to stay tuned (Hi everyone who found us from Decolonizing Love - great to have you here!), and we can't wait to show you what we're currently working later this year. Speaking of which - do you have an idea for a podcast that you think would help educate and inform the non-monogamy community out there in the world? Have any desire to be interviewed by Harvey on an episode of The Convo ? Feel free to reach out to booking@mixnash.co and let us know any of those things - we're looking for new shows to produce, guests to have on, or just to hear what you're liking and not liking about the content we create, so please - send it in! Be kind and stay open! :) | — | ||||||
| 6/24/25 | Ep. 013 - Felicia Castillo Powers of Sunday Assembly Nashville | It's time for another episode of The Convo - and this month we have Felicia Castillo Powers of Sunday Assembly Nashvile! Felicia was so kind to sit down with us to discuss her work with Sunday Assembly (both in Nashville and nationwide). We discuss Felicia's personal non-monogamy journey, the purpose of Sunday Assembly and how it came to be, and how community can make a real difference in people's lives, no matter why they get together. | 6/10/25 | Episode 019 - Meta Relationships & Support Structures - feat. Decolonizing Love! | Originally recorded June 4, 2025 We're talking metas this month with our panelists, which include Nick and Millie from the wildly-popular content creators of Decolonizing Love! We were so thrilled to have each of them give us their takes on your questions about how to deal with metas that don't want to meet you, metas you can't stand and don't know how to interact with, whether someone is being coercive or manipulative about having you begin a friendship with a common partner, and a whole bunch more meta talk (incluidng a couple of minutes of meta talk about talking about metas.) (Can we say "meta" more? Probably not.) If you found us from following Decolonizing Love, thanks for checking us out! We update every two weeks and alternate between episodes of The Panel and our sister show, The Convo, where we do short interviews with people from all walks of life that are connected to the non-monogamy world. If you have some questions you'd like answered on a future episode of The Panel, please head over to our annoymous form on our website (www.mixnash.co/ask) and send them in ! :D Your questions literally are what makes our show happen, and we appreciate every single one you send in! (And if you really want to be our best friend, leave us a review wherever you're listening to this? We'd be ever so appreciative.) Be kind, and stay open! | — | ||||||

MashUp is a grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit headquartered in the Nashville Metro area that focuses on providing queer folx of color a comprehensive, person-centered approach to health and well-being. Jerry was so kind to find time to talk to us about MashUp, his own personal non-monogamy journey, the similarities between the LGBTQI+ and non-monogamy communities, and how we all of us can increase the visibility of interesectional cultures within the larger marginalized cultures around us. | 5/13/25 | Episode 018 - Neurodivergence & Non-Monogamy | Originally recorded May 10, 2025 This month's Panel focuses on those of us - a lot of us - who maybe don't see the world exactly the same as the "average" person does (whatever that means). The umbrealla of "neurodivergence" is quite large and encompasses many different types of neurological variances, and with the help of our guest expert Mal (a licensed behavioral analyst with 20 years experience helping the neurodivergent population) and our other panelists Diana, Vex and Jes/Arana, we take on listener questions like how neurodivergence helps (and sometimes hinders) non-monogamy, what rejection sensitivity is and how it might manifest in others, and how to approach the topic of neurodivergence with a partner who may or may not be neurodivergent themselves (and might not even be aware of it). We really had a great time recording this episode, and we hope y'all find it as helpful and educational as we did making it, no matter if you're someone who marchest to their own drummer, or just someone who loves someone who does everything their own way. Oh - one more thing; we're doing an episode on meta relationships soon (as well as some other topics) - if you have some questions you'd like answered on a future show, head over to the annoymouts form on our website (www.mixnash.co/ask) and send them in to us! :D Your questions literally are what makes our show happen - and we really appreciate every single one you send in - and if you really want to be our best friend, leave us a review wherever you're listening to this? We'd be ever so appreciative. Be kind, and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 4/29/25 | Ep. 011 - The Convo - Rob of Red Room | Hello and welcome back to The Convo - this month, we're talking to Rob, one of the owners of Red Room, a swing club located in the Metro Nashville area. Rob was a great conversational partner - we cover a lot of topics about swing clubs that we think people who are "on the fence" about making their first trip out will enjoy, from what to expect your first time out, who exactly goes to swing clubs, what to do if you run into someone you know from your "vanilla" connections (e.g. work, social groups, etc.), and the benefits of going to a swing club with your significant other - even if all you do is watch from the sidelines. We really appreciate Rob taking the time to talk to us, and if you're considering taking the dive and going out to your local swing club, we hope this helps calm your nerves enough to make the leap and see what its all about! Thanks again for listening - we appreciate everyone who continues to tune in to our podcasts! If you're enjoying The Convo (or any of our other podcasts), please do us a favor and leave us a review or comment on Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify (it really helps us improve our rankings and increaase our audience), and, as always, please tell your friends to give us a listen! Be kind and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 4/15/25 | Episode 017 - Sex Toys & Non-Monogamy | Originally recorded April 9, 2025 It's a banner episode of The Panel this month; why, might you ask? We have not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR experts on this episode - and all of them have some keen insights and experiences with sex toys. And we're not talking just vibrators - from Jack, our resident deep-BDSM sub, to Tiff, our former sex-toy saleswoman, to Mark, an OT who also builds sex furniture, to Kenton, the owner and "fucksmith" of Funkit Toys, we have tons and tons of information about how sex toys can enhance and entertain. We talk about favorite group sex toys, what the experts use to clean their toys, the best brand of pervertable shock collars to buy on Amazon, and a whole lot of other fun information in between. It's a jam-packed episode, and we couldn't have done it without the great questions we got this month! Speaking of questions - if you have some questions you'd like answered on a future show, you can ask them (as well as anything else on your mind) using our anonymous online form (www.mixnash.co/ask)! :D And please - if you like the podcast, leave us a review and rating wherever you're listening - it really helps us reach others and grow! :D Be kind, and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 4/1/25 | Ep. 010 - The Convo - Doug & Telisha Williams of Wild Ponies | Welcome to another episode of The Convo! This month, our guests are Doug & Telisha Williams of the band Wild Ponies. Doug & Telisha, who are based in Nashville, were so gracious to talk to us about their lives as musicians and as members of the non-monogamy community. Their most recent album, Dreamers, focuses on exploring what exists beyond the traditional nuclear family, and details the joys and heartbreaks they've experienced as part of a queer, polyamorous family undergoing fertility treatments and becoming foster parents in the state of Tennessee. I had an absolute blast talking to them both about things like how being non-monogamous has affected their careers, what inspired the lyrics for the album's title track, and a few other fun topics that we hope you enjoy. As always, we can't thank you enough for listening - we genuinely appreciate each and every one of you who tune in to our podcasts! As a reiminder - if you're enjoying The Convo (or any of our other podcasts), please leave us a review or comment on Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify, and please tell your friends to give us a listen! As always, be kind and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 3/18/25 | Episode 016 - Long Distance & Non-Monogamous | Originally recorded March 5, 2025 This month's Panel is all about everything to do with being long-distance while also being non-monogamous. Our guest expert, CJ, is a certified life and sex coach who helps her clients realize their desires and the lives they've always wanted but never could actualize. CJ, in addition to her practice, also has some great personal experience with being in a long-term, very long distance relationship for many years, and her insights are fantastic into the questions we answered. Accompanied by our other panelists Diana, D and Roxi, our panelists take on questions about how to equitabily divide the costs of travel, how to be a gracious meta while your partner's long-distance partner is in town, and how to know if its time to bring that long-distance partner a little closer to you (or to move a little closer to them!) We really appreciate every listener who tunes in - and especially those of you who send us questions like the excellent ones we had from our audience on this month's episode. Just a reminder - if you have some questions you'd like answered on a future show, you can ask them (as well as anything else on your mind) using our anonymous online form (www.mixnash.co/ask)! :D And please - if you like the podcast, leave us a review and rating wherever you're listening - it really helps us reach others and grow! :D Be kind, and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 3/4/25 | Ep. 009 - The Convo - Cooper S. Beckett | This month, we're speaking to Cooper S. Beckett. Cooper is a long-time influencer and thought leader in the non-monogamy and swing spaces of the internet, and has released seven books so far in his writing career - three in the world of non-monogamy and swing (his memoir, Life On the Swingset, as well as two fictional works, A Life Less Monogamous and Approaching the Swingularity), and four in the genre of horror (the Spectral Inspetor series). Cooper and Harvey have a wide ranging conversation about the state of community in non-monogamy at large (where Cooper asks you to read and review Harvey's book - Campfire: Creating Ethically Non-Monogamous Communities to Change the World), as well as the evolution of non-monogamy that's occurred during the time that Harvey and Cooper have been around (because, you know, they're old dudes in their 40s, so what else do they do when put in front of mics? ;) ) Thanks for listening - we appreciate each and every one of you who tune in to our podcasts! If you're enjoying The Convo (or any of our other podcasts), please leave a review or comment on our episodes on Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify, and please tell your friends to give us a listen - and as always, be kind and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 2/18/25 | Episode 015 - Healthcare Providers & Non-Monogamy | Originally recorded February 5, 2025 Hello, hello, hello from the new recording studios for MIX Nashville! As we said in our last release, we're going to be recording The Panel from a set location moving forward; not only does it save us on having to move our equipment to record in a location where people can attend, but it should allow us to have on more guests like the one we have this month, Sonia Lehner! Sonia is the founder of The Obsidian Advocacy Project, which does work focusing on bridging the gap between healthcare providers and those of us in alternative lifestyles. Our Panelists Sara, Sam and Harvey talk to Sonia about topics such as how to find healthcare providers who are accepting of those practicing non-monogamous lifestyles and what you can do if you feel you've been discriminated against because of your partners. Add a dash of irreverence and storytelling, and you've got what we think is a really informative and interesting episode of The Panel! We really appreciate every one of you for being a listener and sending us your questions. | — | ||||||
| 2/4/25 | Ep. 008 - The Convo - Marla Renee Stewart & tia marie | This month, we're speaking to Marla Renee Stewart and tia marie, co-founders of Sex Down South, a "sexual health and wellness conference created for BIPOC and LGBTQIA people" founded in 2015. Since their inception, Sex Down South has become an "influential platform that has brought together thousands of attendees from the U.S. and beyond to explore sexuality as a tool for self-liberation." tia and Marla are fantastic guests, and we have some great discussions about why they thought starting a convention (with all its work) was a good idea, how they keep going when the going gets tough, and how their desire to attend a convention where more people like them were given the mic lead to their strong diversity and inclusion of as many different communities as possible at their con. Thanks for listening - we appreciate each and every one of you who tune in to our podcasts! If you're enjoying The Convo (or any of our other podcasts), please leave a review or comment on our episodes on Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify, and please tell your friends to give us a listen - and as always, be kind and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 1/21/25 | Episode 014 - Consent & Non-Monogamy - Part Two | Originally recorded November 19, 2024 It's time for part two of our Consent & Non-Monoagmy, with more of our panelists Diana, Araña/Jes, Russ & D! This round of questions invovles how consesual non-consent play works, how to handle negotiating with a 3rd party about play you want to do with someone (likely in a D/s dynamic), consent you receive from anchor partners, as well as some great other questions we hope you find informative and enjoy! As we mentioned at the top of the show, we're going to be taking a break from recording The Panel in front of a live audience - mostly so we can get you better recording quality in our podcasts, in addition to hopefully adding a video stream in the near future! And, as always, we really appreciate every one of you for being a listener and sending us your questions. If you have some questions you'd like answered on a future show, you can ask them (as well as anything else on your mind) using our anonymous online form (www.mixnash.co/ask)! :D And please - if you like the podcast, leave us a review and rating wherever you're listening - it really helps us reach others and grow! :D Be kind, and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 12/24/24 | Episode 013 - Consent & Non-Monogamy - Part One | Originally recorded November 19, 2024 This episode turned out excellent, even if we do say so ourselves - great topics, great questions, and a great group of panelists - so great, we had to break the episode into two parts! In Part One, we'll be introducing our Panelists, talking about how to ask for consent in a sexy and fun way (and consent is sexy, in case you didn't know), how to balance autonomy with the needs of a partner, as well as how to recover from having a (minor) boundary breach and how intoxicants affect consent in play spaces. Our panelists Diana, Araña/Jes, Russ & D have some real insights from their personal experiences on all these topics - and, as we mentioned, you'll have to tune in next month for Part 2 where we'll discuss even more fantastic questions y'all sent to us! We mention it at the top of the show, but stay tuned: we're going to be making some pretty significant changes to how we record the podcast in 2025, and we realy appreciate every one of you for being a listener and sending us your questions. And, just a reminder, if you have some questions you'd like answered on a future show, you can ask them (as well as anything else on your mind) using our anonymous online form (www.mixnash.co/ask)! :D And please - if you like the podcast, leave us a review and rating wherever you're listening - it really helps us reach others and grow! :D Be kind, and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 12/10/24 | Ep. 007 - The Convo - Roy Graff | This month, we're speaking to Roy Graff of Open Relating. Roy is both a peer support coach and a licensed therapist in the UK, where they reside and practice. In addition to providing clinical therapy services, Roy creates content on Instagram and Threads discussing the challenges non-monogamists face, and providing practical solutions and tips for nagvating those challenges. We ask Roy about a interesting type of workshop he offers on "play fighting", how he got into the field of therapy and coaching work, as well as what brought him to our community. Roy references some non-white creators both on Insta and in the ENM space who he thinks everyone should be following, but wanted to provide a list for the notes - and here is that list! @polyamorouswhileasian @polyphiliablog (See Episode 002 of The Convo for more with Leanne Yau!) @polyamorousblackgirl @bygabriellesmith @marjanilane @lifewflo @decolonizing.love @sexysoupdumplings @lavitaloca34 (See Episode 004 of The Convo for more with Evita Sawyers!) @gabalexa @jayda_kissed @sanuthepolyfairy @monogamishpod @poliactivismo @radicalrelating Thanks for listening - we appreciate each and every one of you who tune in to our podcasts! If you're enjoying The Convo (or any of our other podcasts), please leave a review or comment on our episodes on Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify, and please tell your friends to give us a listen - and as always, be kind and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 11/26/24 | Episode 012 - The Blender! - October 2024 Edition | Originally Recorded: October 18, 2024 What is The Blender? Unlike The Panel, each episode of The Blender has no pre-determined topic, and no pre-submitted questions; the topics and questions discussed on each episode of The Blender come 100% from the audience attending that evening! We discuss a lot of stuff this episode - why we're all non-monogamous, why we should maybe use ethical non-monogamous instead of non-monogamous when we talk about our community, how quickly you introduce new potential partners to established partners, and a few other things along the way from our audience-submitted question pool! As always, we love people coming out to our tapings - if you'd like to attend a taping of either The Blender or The Panel, you can get more information about upcoming shows and tickets at our webste, mixnash.co! Thanks as always for listening - be kind and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 11/12/24 | Ep 006 - The Convo - Olivia Hill | This month's guest is Olivia Hill, a trans woman and activist who also became the first trans person to be elected to public office in the State of Tennessee, which she accomplished with her election as an At-Large Councilperson for Metro Nashville in 2023. Olivia and I had a really great and inspiring conversation about her experiences both as a trans woman and running for office in a very "red" state, as well as about how running for office as your authentic self can do good for the world, regardless of whether you win or lose. | — | ||||||
| 10/29/24 | Episode 011 - Cohabitating While Non-Monogamous w/ Laura Boyle of Ready for Polyamory | Originally taped Sepbember 18, 2024 This month we dive into the nuts and bolts of cohabitating with your non-monogamous partners with Laura Boyle! Laura is an author and the wonderful mind behind the blog, Instagram account, TikTok channel and other platforms of "Ready For Polyamory", and has published her newest book, "Monogamy? In This Economy?" (out now – order here! ) She just so happened to be in town when we were recording, so we took advantage of the kismet of her being in town to have her on as our special guest expert this month! Along with Diana, Gaines, Roxi and Harvey, we tackled all sorts of fun topics about the positives (and negatives) of living in a multi-partner household! Just a reminder, if you have questions you'd like answered on a future show, you can ask them (as well as anything else on your mind) using our anonymous online form (www.mixnash.co/ask) - we live for your questions! :D And please - if you like the podcast, leave us a review and rating wherever you're listening - it really helps us reach others and grow! :D Be kind, and stay open! | — | ||||||
| 10/15/24 | Ep. 005 - The Convo - Brett Chamberlin of OPEN | This month's guest is Brett Chamberlin, the founder and current executive director of the Organization for Polyamory and Ethical Non Monogamy, or OPEN. (Open-Love.org) OPEN states in their mission as being dedicated "to normalizing and empowering non-monogamous individuals, relationships, and communities. More than that, we're a movement of people working toward a future where romantic and intimate relationships between consenting adults are accepted and protected regardless of relationship structure, gender identity, or sexual orientation." This is a bonus-length episode! OPEN is doing some amazing work on behalf of our community at large, and our conversation touches topics like how OPEN is creating change in cities around the United States, increasing the visibility of all cultures and ethnicities in non-monogamy, non-monogamy's portrayal in popular culture, and how we in the community can work to secure rights and protections for all of us now and in the future.
