About this episode
The episode explores the chaos in Boston leading to the American Revolution, focusing on John Adams' defense of British soldiers and the rise of George Washington.
Boston is in chaos, culminating in a bloody clash between locals and redcoats. From the turmoil steps John Adams, a young lawyer who volunteers to do the least wanted job in the city: defending British soldiers accused of perpetrating a massacre. Later, Parliament comes down hard on the American colonies, introducing more taxes and suspending rights. Colonial leaders gather to plan a response… and a tall, composed Virginian named George Washington comes to the fore… A Noiser podcast production. Narrated by Clarke Peters.
