About this episode
This episode explores the mysterious phenomenon of Numbers Stations and their connection to Cold War espionage.
Hello Seekers! Tonight's episode covers one of my favorite topics - Government espionage and conspiracy! WOO-HOO! Specifically, one of the strangerst relics of Cold War Intelligence: Numbers Stations. For decades, shortwave radio listeners around the world have reported hearing anonymous broadcasts where a voice calmly reads strings of numbers into the airwaves. There's no station identification. Just a string or groups of seemingly random numb ers, sometimes proceeded by music or a tone, and then.... nada. These broadcasts are almost certainly tools of espionage (and I want to know how to get that job)! So, sit back, relax and get weird with us!
