Hey there Seekers! It's been a crazy week, so apologies for being a few days late - However, I'm feeling pretty good since I technically managed to get this episode in before the start of the weekend! (I take my small victories where I can get them). This is episode 2 in a series I've started up called: Occult Objects - Where Are They Now? Hello Seekers! Ooooooohhhhmmmaaaaannnn! Today's a good one! On multiple levels! Some of you know, some of you don't but I've been living in the Netherlands for the past four years. It's a beautiful country and I enjoy it very much however, one of the tougher adjustments that I've had to make is that I've had a tough time finding the more "mysterious and weird" aspect of the Netherlands. The occult angle here is always a pretty solid given, what with the Ritman library being here, a rich history of practicing alchemists and artists, as well as a castle supposedly inhabited by Faust. But it wasn't until my neighbor told mw about the UFO sighitngs over the area of Soesterberg that the doorway to "weird Netherlands" finally opened a crack! I can't wait to go on this adventure with you - both talking about this particular UFO sighting but also as we explore all the additional esoteric, paranormal and outright weird aspects of my new neighborhood. Hello Seekers! Today's topic is in honor of the recent U.S. UFO document(s) release which, once again, says everything without saying ANYTHING. Considering it is one of the largest UFO/UAP cases in history - and involved the U.S. military personnel - why haven't all of these disclosed UFO docs never really seem to touch. this particular case? Also, nwhat else is going on in that section of England, eh? Why is it just so dang .....weird? Hello Seekers! This week on OSP, we dive headfirst into one of the most infamous occult brawls (physically AND spiritually) of the mmodern era: Aleister Crowley v/s The Heremtic Order of the Golden Dawn. This episode is all about ego, secrecy, power and what happens when everyone and their mom want to control the access to "ancient hidden knowledge." Specifically, we will be unpacking the Blythe Road incident and how Crowley may have lost the battle when he got his a$$ kicked out of their clubhouse but definitly won the war when it came to everlasting notoriety. There's gossip here, some weird history and a lot of toxic human behavior in between. The week on Occulture Shock - Wizard Wars I'm digging into the fracture between Gerald Gardner and Doreen Valiente: the founder who went public to protect witchcraft and the woman who helped to write it.... ....only to then walk away when Gardner's mythology making started outweighing honesty and power plays were rife within the coven. This is not an episode of blind hero worship. This is a sharp (but hopefully, fair) look at how modern witchcraft was shaped by real human beings with real human egos and why questions of validity still haunt the practice today.
