About this episode

Zylo Marshall shares his experiences living with a disability and the challenges he faced in seeking support from others.

In this episode, we talk to Zylo Marshall. He describes himself as someone who loves people and is passionate about helping others with disabilities. Zylo lives in the United States. Zylo tells us about sitting on a comma with receiving help and support while living with a disability. Living with a brain injury and growing up in an abusive household led to many challenges for Zylo. Still, he sought a life of success and self-sufficiency. After navigating a life where he already fought against people’s misunderstandings of disabilities, he was faced with those he trusted taking advantage of him and further challenging his autonomy. These challenges galvanized Zylo to speak out for others and make it his mission. Tune in to hear what Zylo means when he says “they don’t understand that a person’s brain may not be able to take it as well”.
