It was quite the football weekend for the end of June as our George Stoia was in Thibodeaux, Louisiana, stalking OU's current quarterback, John Mateer. Meanwhile Eddie Radosevich and Carey Murdock were out at OU's practice fields stalking former quarterback Baker Mayfield with a Tampa Bay Buccaneers helmet. But George did the thing and is working on a multi part series on Mateer's journey to get back to the quarterback many hyped him up to be when he first arrived at Oklahoma. It was a great day for the spring game Saturday in Norman. And although some stars were sitting out due to injury or precaution, we were able to see some of the new faces and the progress being made throughout spring camp. The offensive line seems to be a more cohesive unit than we've seen the last couple of years. The running backs came to show out as well with lots of physical runs throughout the day. John Mateer was solid throughout the day but Bowe Bentley had some rough patches going mostly against the No. 1 defense. Danny Okoye may have put his forward as the next star to emerge on the defensive side of the ball.
