About this episode

The episode discusses finding comfort and reassurance through scripture during difficult times.

When you’re feeling particularly down – left out, forgotten, depressed, stressed, or just wondering when things might get better – what do you do? Where do you go to find comfort or reassurance?  D&C section 122 is a favorite of mine. When I’m feeling out of sorts or stuck (or any of those other things above) I like to go to this section for a reminder that everything is going to work out. All of the hard things we have to go through are for our good. They’ll help make us stronger, more compassionate, more patient, or just smarter. Often there is no other way to get the experience (and knowledge or wisdom) that we’ll get from the really hard things. As you read section 122 this time around, remember Joseph and what he was struggling with and then think about the times when you felt like you were in your own Liberty Jail. We’ve discovered our own Sacred Grove, but what about those Liberty Jails? There are two checklists this week because there is a lot to cover. You can find them both here: https://paisleyimperfect.com/make-a-plan-monday-october-20-26/ Keep your experiences sacred, but please make sure you’re sharing them…
