In June, the Supreme Court cleared the way to end temporary protected status for Haitians and Syrians living in the U.S. The Trump administration let that TPS expire last month, and about 350,000 Haitians became at risk of deportation. After three decades, there is a conviction in one of the country's most infamous unsolved killings. A Nevada jury found Duane "Keffe D" Davis guilty of orchestrating the 1996 murder of hip-hop superstar Tupac Shakur. NASA launched its newest space telescope, undertaking its biggest mission yet to study the universe on a much larger scale. The scale of the disaster in the Himalayas is becoming clearer a day after catastrophic flooding tore through parts of Nepal and Tibet.
