| 6/21/26 | ![]() Episode 147: Grief + Healing: What 18 Years Without My Dad Taught Me About Life, Love + Living fully | Episode 147: Grief + Healing: What 18 Years Without My Dad Taught Me About Life, Love + Living fully This week's episode is one of the most personal I've ever recorded. With Father's Day here and 18 years since my dad passed away, I found myself reflecting on something profound: I've now lived more of my life without him than with him.In this raw and honest conversation, I share my journey with grief, healing, forgiveness, and the lessons that have shaped me into the woman I am today. We often talk about "moving on" from loss, but I don't believe that's how grief works. Grief doesn't disappear. We learn to live with it. We grow around it. And in doing so, it becomes part of the fabric of who we are.I speak openly about my father's addiction, the forgiveness that took years to find, and the unexpected gift of having a stepdad who brought safety, stability, and unconditional support into my life when I needed it most. Looking back, I can see how that external safety created the foundation that allowed me to do the deeper healing work within myself.I also reflect on losing 11 family members at a young age, including my dad at 45, my nan at 56, and my cousin at just 21. Those experiences taught me something I carry with me every day:Tomorrow is never guaranteed. It's why I choose to go all in.It's why I say what I mean. It's why I shine brightly. It's why I refuse to wait for the "right time."In this episode, we explore: Why grief never truly leaves us and what it means to grow around loss Forgiveness, acceptance, and healing complicated family relationships The profound impact of safety and support on our healing journey How loss can deepen our appreciation for life rather than diminish it The lessons grief teaches us about courage, love, and presence Why healing creates an internal foundation that can withstand life's inevitable stormsI also share reflections on the Summer Solstice, the next six months of growth and possibility, and why the upcoming Capricorn Full Moon invites us to ask ourselves a powerful question:Do I truly believe I am worthy of receiving what I desire? This episode is a reminder that life is not meant to be perfect. It is meant to be lived. The joy, the heartbreak, the beauty, the messiness, the love, the loss, all of it belongs. And perhaps the greatest gift healing gives us is not a life free from pain, but the ability to find our way home to ourselves no matter what life brings. If this episode resonates with you, I would genuinely love to hear from you. Send me a message and let me know what landed. | — | ||||||

It's something you build through action, trust, and a willingness to keep showing up for yourself. In this episode, we explore:Why confidence is the foundation of personal and professional success• How fear of failure and judgment keeps women playing small• The power of taking intentional risks and backing yourself• Why waiting to feel ready often delays the life you truly want• How mentorship and support accelerate growth and transformation• Practical ways to build self-belief and create momentum in your life and businessRebecca also shares insights from her work mentoring female entrepreneurs and professionals, helping them develop the confidence needed to grow their businesses, increase their visibility, and create opportunities that align with their goals. This episode is for the woman who knows she is capable of more but is tired of letting self-doubt make her decisions.Because confidence doesn't come from having all the answers. It comes from trusting yourself enough to take the next step before you can see the whole pathFREE main character energy activations https://sherissebisram.com/main-character-energy-activations1-1Drop me a DM here: https://www.instagram.com/sherisse_bisram?igsh=MWdlODl4d2Z1eG50bg%3D%3D&utm_source=qrBecky Loto, is an International Speaker, Certified Business Strategist, Mentor, and entrepreneur with 30+ years of international business experience. | 2/8/26 | ![]() Episode 129: The hidden cost of holding it all together. Why being a strong woman is exhausting | Permission to Shine Episode 129: The hidden cost of holding it all together. Why being a strong woman is exhausting So many high achieving women are praised for being dependable, responsible, and the one who always holds everything together. But what if those very traits are quietly costing you your peace, your intimacy, and your capacity to receive support. In this episode, I explore the silent burden strong women carry and why being the reliable one is often rooted in survival rather than strength. I share what I’ve witnessed again and again in my work with women, including inside She Rises, where room after room fills with women who learned early in life that if they didn’t take control, no one else would. We unpack how micromanaging, over functioning, and emotional self containment are trauma responses developed in childhood when safety was inconsistent. These patterns may have helped you survive, but they also build invisible walls that stop love, support, and true connection from reaching you. This episode is an invitation to soften without collapsing, to release control without losing power, and to understand that receiving is not weakness but leadership. In this episode, we explore:Why being the strong one becomes a survival identityHow childhood experiences shape control and over responsibilityWhy high achieving women struggle to receive love and supportHow emotional armour creates isolation even in successful livesWhat actually happens when you stop holding everything togetherThe path from self abandonment to inner safety and embodied powerI also share my own journey out of this pattern and why this work now sits at the heart of everything I do. If you’ve ever felt like you are carrying the weight of everyone else’s world while quietly disappearing from your own, this episode will meet you exactly where you are.Unforgettable: https://sherissebisram.com/unforgettable-an-embodied-leadership-visibility-experienceShe Rises: https://sherissebisram.com/she-rises-experienceInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/sherisse_bisram?igsh=MWdlODl4d2Z1eG50bg%3D%3D&utm_source=qr | — | ||||||
| 2/1/26 | ![]() Episode 128: Healing Burnout and Building + Aligned Business. Inner Work Creates Sustainable Success | In this episode, I’m joined by aligned business and burnout coach Emma Walsh for a powerful conversation about how personal healing directly shapes business success, especially for new and aspiring coaches.Emma shares her journey through trauma, burnout, and deep self healing, and how those experiences led her to create a coaching approach that integrates nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and aligned business strategy. We explore why so many coaches struggle to grow sustainably because they are building from exhaustion rather than inner safety. This conversation highlights how aligning your personal energy with your business goals creates clarity, confidence, and long term success. Emma also shares a gentle yet powerful breathwork and visualisation practice designed to help release emotional blocks and restore self trust, using the symbolism of water and the body as a space for regulation and integration. In this episode, we explore:• Why burnout is often a nervous system issue not a motivation problem• How trauma patterns show up in business and visibility• The link between self trust, receiving support, and sustainable success• Why aligned business growth starts with inner safety• A calming breathwork and visualisation practice to release emotional weightThis episode is for the woman who knows she is meant for more, but refuses to build success at the cost of her wellbeing. If you’re ready to create a business that supports your nervous system rather than depletes it, this conversation will meet you exactly where you are.Unforgettable https://sherissebisram.com/unforgettable-an-embodied-leadership-visibility-experiencehttps://sherissebisram.com/unforgettable-an-embodied-leadership-visibility-experienceFind Emma here: https://www.instagram.com/emma_j_walsh?igsh=Y29qM2YxMDN5MWNq | — | ||||||
| 1/25/26 | ![]() Episode 127: Why Letting Go of Control Is the Missing Key to Fulfilment for High-Achieving Women | Permission to Shine Podcast Episode 127 Why Letting Go of Control Is the Missing Key to Fulfilment for High-Achieving WomenIn this episode, I share the powerful insights that emerged from She Rises and what I witnessed when women finally laid down the armour they’ve been carrying for years. So many high-achieving women believe the next milestone, the next level of success, or more responsibility will finally bring fulfilment. Yet what became clear in the room is that what these women truly needed was not more doing, but more safety within themselves. We explore why control is often mistaken for empowerment, how over-responsibility becomes armour, and why healing is not about wearing trauma as a badge of honour but understanding where our patterns began with compassion. This episode is an invitation to soften into your true essence, to create inner safety, and to lead from wholeness rather than survival.Inside this episode, we explore:Why high-achieving women struggle to let go of controlHow armour forms and why it once kept you safeThe difference between success driven by survival and success rooted in integrityWhy inner safety, not achievement, creates lasting fulfilmentHow understanding your patterns allows you to soften without losing your powerIf you’re ready to experience this work in your body, not just your mind, She Rises is where this transformation comes alive. And for those wanting deeper integration, Unforgettable is your next step. This episode is for the woman who is successful on the outside but ready to feel truly held on the inside.https://sherissebisram.com/she-rises-experiencehttps://sherissebisram.com/unforgettable-an-embodied-leadership-visibility-experience@sherisse_bisram | — | ||||||
