# Surf Zone Forecast Report for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia Good morning everyone. Here's your surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service Jacksonville. Today is shaping up to be a beautiful day at the beach if you can dodge the occasional shower. We're looking at mostly sunny skies with just a slight chance of some scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Surf heights will be minimal at one to two feet, so it's going to be a pretty laid-back kind of day in the water. The rip current risk is low, though we always recommend staying aware around groins, jetties, and piers where they can still be dangerous. Water temperatures are hanging out in the lower seventies, and with a UV index that's very high, definitely get that sunscreen on. Winds will be light from the southwest around five miles per hour this morning, shifting to the southeast at ten miles per hour this afternoon. High temperatures will reach the lower eighties. Now things are about to get more interesting come Monday. We're going to see a significant shift in conditions as northeast winds crank up to fifteen to twenty miles per hour. That's going to pump up our surf…
