Starting up north in Sonoma and Marin County, the surf is firing with northwest-facing beaches seeing five to eight feet of swell. If you're chasing bigger waves, that's where you want to be. South-facing beaches are more modest at three to five feet. Expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low fifties to mid-sixties, with northwest winds starting at ten miles per hour and bumping up to thirteen by afternoon. Moving down to San Francisco and San Mateo County, the surf is running four to seven feet with water temperatures hovering around 57 degrees. The slight chance of rain mentioned shouldn't chase you away, and those northwest winds are lighter here, starting at eight and topping out at eleven. Still partly cloudy conditions with similar temperatures to the north.
