The Crypto Vigilante Podcast

What up, Vigilantes? Every Bitcoin fork since 2017 has been a war. Branding battles. Toxic feuds. Communities ripped in half like cheap fabric. So why has eCash, the fork going live October 31, 2026, drawn fire from almost no one? I've watched this space for over a decade. I have never seen anything like it. At TABConf, Paul Sztorc stood alone against eleven, maybe thirteen, Lightning Network developers in a single debate. One by one, they conceded. They agreed with him. I've never seen that in my life. Bitcoiners voiced their concerns for years, were ignored by Bitcoin's ossified Core politics, and now they're exiting. Voice and exit. That's the story here. Honestly, I have not found anyone respected in Bitcoin who disagrees with BIP 300 and BIP 301. One respected Bitcoiner told me a fork needs a personality, a leader. I rejected that. Paul is the ideal leader type: calm, collected, respectful, reasonable. Not the prickly personalities that ran past forks into the ground. Contrast this with the sloppy BIP-110 / Bitcoin Blake fork: antagonistic, no plan, no code. One critic claimed there was no code, meaning he'd never bothered to visit drivechain.info, where the download link sits at the top of the page. That's the level of seriousness Bitcoin's chief critics are operating at. Sztorc and LayerTwo Labs delivering Drivechains, BIP 300/301, on Satoshi's chain. Roughly eleven merge-mined sidechains launch alongside: zSide for Zcash-style privacy, EthSide, SolSide, Thunder for micropayments, Truthcoin, Elements Plus. Any altcoin community can rebuild its coin as an L2 on eCash. And every BTC holder receives ECX at 1:1. Look at the scoreboard before you dismiss this. Blocks are empty. Fees are near zero. Lightning is dead; even its own white paper required bigger blocks. E-commerce still charges 3% fees fifteen years on, despite my group setting up 70+ Bitcoin-accepting businesses in Austin back in 2013. Miners are pivoting to AI. ETFs have replaced real custody. BTC already hit the iceberg; they're just playing the violin. Robin Linus, creator of BitVM, called BitVM a mere “placeholder” for drivechains. When the guy building the competition concedes, you're not looking at a shitcoin. And this isn't a cash grab. The eCash launch will be done in stages with the final phase scheduled for October 31st: alpha at block 963,648 on August 23, beta at block 967,680 on September 19–20, mainnet at roughly block 973,728. That's evidence of seriousness. If you want the full background, read the Bitcoin fork that changes everything. Now the fine print, because the regime won't warn you: this fork ships with no replay protection. You must split your UTXOs at ecash.com, or whoever receives your next BTC send can claim your ECX. There's also the Satoshi-coin funding controversy, and I say skin in the game matters. This is a hedge, not a bet. My position is simple: hold both BTC and ECX, the eCash ticker. The launch date is the Bitcoin white paper anniversary. That's no accident. This is why the real crypto OGs are buying now while everyone else panic-sells. Verify the fork mechanics yourself before block 973,728. The ark doesn't wait. Want the full playbook before October 31? Subscribe to The Crypto Vigilante at CryptoVigilante.io/subscribe. What up, Vigilantes? Privacy often feels like a punishment. Slow syncs. Clunky interfaces. The feeling that you’re doing something wrong just by trying to keep your financial life off the public record. We’ve all felt it. You want privacy, but the tech makes you wait for it. It’s friction. And in a world that moves at light speed, friction is unacceptable. But with the release of Stashi, everything changed… Finally, we have a privacy wallet that doesn’t make you wait. No more staring at a progress bar that seems stuck in 1995. I sat down with Amy V, Pirate Chain's project events lead, and Daniel, its first mate and community lead. They explained why this shift matters more than any price pump or chart pattern. The core of it is speed… Previously, syncing a privacy wallet was a nightmare. You had to decrypt every block individually. It was slow. Painful. Stashi fixes this with what Daniel calls the “Supernova sync engine.” He told me it’s 27 times faster than the old lite wallet. Twenty-seven. And that’s while running through Tor by default. Amy V called it “the fastest wallet that we’ve seen so far” among Zero-Knowledge Proof-based projects. It’s not just fast; it’s smooth. Watch on: Odysee | YouTube | X | Rumble | Bitchute | Vigilante.tv This speed matters because of what’s under the hood. Pirate Chain uses Zero-Knowledge Proofs, or zk-SNARKs. This is different from Monero’s ring signatures. Monero currently hides the sender of a transaction among 15 decoys. In certain scenarios, adversaries can use this information to probabilistically narrow down the identity of the sender of a particular transaction. zk-SNARKs reveal nothing. Nothing about the sender, the receiver, or the amount. Daniel explains it with a Where's Waldo book. Cut a small hole in a piece of paper, lay it over Waldo, and you can prove you know where he is without showing anything else on the page. It’s a “more elegant solution,” Daniel said. Pirate Chain's encryption hasn’t been broken yet. And it gets tighter soon… The Ironwood protocol activates on October 3. This is a big deal. It uses the Halo 2 proving system to eliminate the trusted setup from the old Sapling protocol. It kills the inflation risk. Daniel was clear: update your wallet to version 6.0.0 or higher. Keep your seed phrase safe. The tech is securing itself against the forces that want to break it. But tech is only half the story. The other half is people… Daniel admitted he’s just a community member. He’s unpaid. He’s driven by passion. Amy V is the same. They aren’t CEOs. They’re volunteers. They believe in digital cash that works like real money. Where a vendor doesn’t know your balance, your history, or your name. They’re taking this grassroots. Amy suggested going to farmers markets – not to lecture “normies” on blockchain, but to teach vendors how to accept Pirate Chain using the new Stashi wallet. Build the local economy first. The walls are closing in on privacy and financial autonomy. We see it with the surveillance state and Flock camera debates. We saw it during COVID with the Canadian trucker protesters' funds being seized. Don't wait for permission. Download the wallet at piratechain.com/wallets.Join the push for financial autonomy.
