The LISEP determines that the true unemployment rate is at 24.9%. Not good for the Republicans heading into the midterm elections. Dolly Parton, American icon, dies at the age of 80. In 1995 Dolly Parton started the Imagination Library, a child literacy program inspired by her father whom she described as the smartest man she ever knew but was unable to reach his dreams due to his illiteracy.
