Jason is now on his own, mostly, in his very own spin off series in this very meta outing of Jason King. Samantha and Dave go off course a few times and again forget to score the episode out of 120%. One of Dave's favourite series but not the strongest episode, broadcast in 1969 Department S follows an agent, a computer scientist and an author as they solve the unsolvable for Interpol. It's 1972 again and another half hour series, like The Protectors, so you can probably guess which way the wind blows on this. Like The Baron, The Adventurer is about a man working for the government almost at his own leisure using his status as an 'In' for spy work all around the globe. This week Samantha is exposed to the power of Harry Rule when Dave shows her the first episode of The Protectors. This 1972 classic is still (at the time of recording) aired in the afternoons here in the UK. As usual the first fifteen minutes is taken up with what they have been Watching, Listening and Playing.
