| 12/28/25 | ![]() Ep 31: Personal Transformation with Delilah Sullivan | As our introduction articulates, with Delilah, timing, settings and intention are important to her in all aspects of her life. We take a moment to talk to Delilah Sullivan about how she experiences the world and why she is now offering more of herself to be seen and heard in 2026. Delilah is a spirited writer, energy channel and teacher. She’s published 3 books, ‘The Teachings of Mr P’, ‘A Metaphysical Conversation with Rudyard Kipling: On Writing, the Afterlife and the Spirited Human’ and now her new ‘The Realms Awaken: Metaphysical Obersvations - Book One’, which has been a culmination of over 10 years of writing and lived wisdom, and is now on sale online at Amazon (Paperback & eBook) below. Our conversation gently moves through themes of spiritual awakening, healing, presence, creativity, guidance, and what it means to live consciously in a complex world. Delilah shares candidly about her personal transformation, the role of illness in awakening, her experience of channeling, and how we can all access deeper wisdom within ourselves.“When we let it go, it comes back as an embodied part of who we are.”It’s a deeply reflective episode, which delves into soul evolution, co-creation, choice, and the idea that simply being kind, present, and embodied may be the most powerful contribution we can make. We unpick how less effort and more allowing often leads to deeper truth, how awakening is personal, embodied, and ongoing and healing happens when we are ready to receive the message. Andrew and I have loved listening back to Delilah’s words and wisdom, and feel that this is a perfect episode to bring us all into 2026, as we were left feeling the essence of love and presence as the transformative forces they are for us and humanity. Please share with your fellow humans as your own act of kindness and love. Get full access to Sole to Soul Inspiration by Soulhub at soulhub.substack.com/subscribe | 1h 13m 36s | ||||||
| 11/10/25 | ![]() Ep 30: "Why Dance?" with Angela Rippon CBE. | We still can’t quite believe that Angela Rippon agreed to be a guest on our humble little podcast but also the fact that she managed the whole process herself. No P.A’s, no agents, no big hoohaa or over inflated ego that could be expected from someone of her standing, no…just the inspirational, incredible and adorable Angela. As part of Andrew Cuerden’s “Why Dance?” series of the Soulhubber’s podcast, he spoke to Angela about how she started dancing, the vision of her Let’s Dance campaign to get the country dancing and the benefits of all types of dancing, even ‘Dad’ dancing. As well as how dance supports those suffering with Parkinson’s or Dementia. In particular, it was throughly interesting to gain an insight into why she felt she’d had a long, healthy and successful life, something which so many of us want to understand for ourselves and our loved ones.We always close our interviews with the question ‘What makes you feel soulful?’, to which I was blown away by her response, as she shared the Persian poem…“If thou of fortune be bereft, and in thy store there be but lefttwo loaves, sell one, and with thedole, buy hyacinths to feed thy soul.”Enjoy…If you live in the UK and are looking for some inspiration on where to go dancing check out Angela’s Let’s Dance website. | 10/23/25 | ![]() Ep 29: The medicine that surrounds us, with Shaun Sutton | To be frank. This is different. Not just the topics and the complex nuances of Shaun’s work and visionary perceptions around ‘herbal medicine’, but how the podcast unfolds. From the start Shaun turns the question on me, for the right reason that he will share this podcast with friends, so they get a better sense of what we do at Soulhub.I have learnt to trust all my conversations and allow them space to feel safe. That whatever comes out of our mouths is what’s meant to be said and heard in the world. For that reason, as Shaun knows, we love to flow with topics, not divert with the usual ‘here’s another question’, but rather, okay I can hear you’re going somewhere you need to go with this, so let’s just see. And as a result, we go deeper and deeper into how Shaun observes and absorbs himself into his natural surroundings. How we can use the plants and animals as local remedies to heal and transform our minds, body and spirit. Anything from a crows feather to ginseng. We talk about the seasons, the Pagan Wheel of the Year, life in the Black Forest in Germany and the sharing his poetry as an explanation of the emerging feelings from his private process. I’m particularly struck by his sensitivity to our connectedness. His ability to feel. That may sound flippant, but believe me, I rarely hear humans that can actually feel energy flow, feel sensations, deeply know if the answer is a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. And each of us have that capability, but we’re so over-stimulated or disconnected by noise, self, tech disruptors, anything and everything. For me, this truly invites us to question. To listen and respond. If you listen carefully you’ll hear, what I believe are old ancient ways. How do you think we found out about our medicines back before big ‘pharma’ got involved. We tried things. For many of us, we may recall rubbing our nettle stings with dock leaves, or using witch-hazel for our swelling and itching bits. To learn this we had to try it, test, observe, and ultimately learn what healed us. So thanks Shaun for the exploration of the natural world around us. For reminding us to drop in, clean the window, and be. We’d both love to know what you heard, and if you have any questions for Shaun. Please do drop them in the comments below, or contact us directly. For more information on Shaun or to be added to his weekly email poetry posting, email him at shaunsutton2016@icloud.com and if you’d like to talk to him directly he’s open to receiving calls on +44 7712605537. PS. As we listened back to the recording, Shaun wanted to further clarify the reading of faces, and the purpose is to learn of the condition or intentions of others. i.e. The person’s actual left side reveals what may be really going on for the person at that time, whereas their right side is how they portray themselves to the world. Hope that helps. Get full access to Sole to Soul Inspiration by Soulhub at soulhub.substack.com/subscribe | 55m 53s | ||||||
| 10/1/25 | ![]() Welcome. A fresh start begins here... | Thank you for joining us here at Substack. We feel like “Freshers” starting a new term at a new campus. We see this ‘new term’, as a leaving behind of things that no longer work or serve us, and finding new ways of flowing, with greater ease and opportunity for valuable and meaningful connection. We feel it’s a more heart-centred space here at Substack, and a natural choice to find more stable and fertile ground, in which together we can seed ideas, conversation and collaborations to grow as a nourishing community for the benefit of all. What do we mean by that? Well, in short, less platforms for us to manage, less push, more invitation and more allowing. One place for you to come and find us as, when and how you like. With links to…What we find and experience as Soulfulness. Places, people, content, locations that awaken, inspire and free the human spirit. Here’s a reminder, the short-version, of what we/Soulhub is:It’s a hub for the soul - A gathering, a movement, a place of authentic, and compassionate connection with like-hearted souls. There’s enough platforms out there that want to just focus on the negative and the past or tell everyone how to live their lives. Instead, we desire to find and accent the positive, as well as imagining and taking action towards a better future. Celebrating each and everyones’s unique imperfectly perfect journey. Not to ignore the contrast, but to use it to better know what it is we DO want. We are always open to challenge and difficult conversations that expand awareness, but we believe they should all be held with love, honesty and integrity. As we mention in the video above, our Soulhubber’s Podcasts are already accessible here at Substack, and so please choose to listen to any of the 28 episodes. We do not have a strict schedule but record and share them organically, as and when it feels right. We will be sharing a short survey next week, asking for your input as to what you currently appreciate and what you’d like to see, hear or know more of from Soulhub. Maybe it’s more from the Soulhub Practitioners themselves, more from us directly such as a weekly musings, or different perspectives of how life is for others, soulful conversations or soulful places to visit. As this is our new term. And as we said we want to keep as much free as possible, We are kick-starting with a pledge. An opportunity for you to support us and what we do in a financial way. It will enable us to commit more to building this space for you and everyone else that needs it and perhaps those who cannot afford it. As a Thank You (see below) and grateful exchange for those who sign up for a year, we’re offering 1 therapeutic session with either Andrew or I. You are welcome to donate the session to someone else, if you do not feel the need or desire. For now we’ll leave you with some inspirational pieces. We sincerely thank you for your valuable time and open-hearted attention. To read: Ben Fogle (adventurer/tv presenter) recently posted about his experiences (below) and we liked his sentiment very much. To listen: This week Andrew spoke with Malcolm Stern, Psychotherapist and Author of ‘Slay your Dragons with Compassion’. Andrew has had the pleasure of participating in Malcolm’s year long group therapy sessions as well as co-facilitating with Malcom at Skyros Holidays. It’s a lovely little listen of where Andrew is currently at, and a little window into the world of dance. Podcast on Spotify. To pledge - As a Thank You for your financial support of £70 for a year, we’re offering a free online session (1 hr) with either Carmen or Andrew, which you can use for yourself, or gift to someone else/pay it forward, wherever you are in the world (Valid for 3 months from purchase).Once you have subscribed for the year, we will be in contact, with our diaries (and a brief registration form), and you’ll be able to choose which one of us you’d like to have that time with, or if you’d indeed like a joint session. Here’s a very brief overview of what we offer below, and you can of course find out more on our websites - Carmen or AndrewTherapeutic Sessions with Andrew CuerdenIf you are struggling to find your passion, purpose or flow in the dance of life. I would love to help you explore this. I believe in following our passions and leading with love and faith. To not live a logical life but a magical life. I have spent my whole life doing this and it’s been an incredible life that has taken me all over the world and in and out of amazing adventures. | 9/3/25 | ![]() Ep 28: From Tide to Table with Helen Burt & Pierre Mellion | Helen and Pierre met through extreme sports but have since bonded over their joint passions of telling stories, filmmaking and their love of the sea. We soon learnt that Helen was connected to the fishing industry via her ancestry, whilst Pierre was more familiar with fishing in France and Canada. Now currently living in Northumberland, they’ve dove deeper into the ocean, with their spears and cameras, to explore what lies beneath. Together they share their experiences of what this activity, be it for sport or necessity, conjures up in their physical and emotional being. It’s a fascinating conversation which looks at why they do what they do. And what they’d like others to be inspired to follow and understand about the food they eat, where it comes from, and what’s available on our very own doorstep around the British Coastline. A lot of the stuff you see on the line is quite raw, and you see the spear through the fish, the fish bleeding. It's quite horrific to look at without properly understanding it. But yeah as Pierre said earlier, it's really sustainable because you are only targeting exactly what you want to eat. From their experiences, they’re creating film and artwork to tell the stories with this beautiful film Trigger Fish, as well as fish prints, developed with a Japanese methodology. Their mission is clearWe’re here to turn the tide… spotlighting the beauty and bounty of our own waters through stories that reconnect us with the sea that surrounds us.Thank you both for the open and unique conversation, and for sharing your passion for our natural environment. | 8/10/25 | ![]() Ep 27: Mind over Mountains, with Alex Staniforth | Alex is a mountain goat, human powered adventurer, and galvaniser for those wishing to find themselves in the mountains. Thank you to John and Caroline Tierney for leading Alex onto our pathway, to enable us to get under the skin of how a young man who’s faced bullying and prejudice for his physical conditions, has led him to lead others up into the mountain pathways for their own conquering. because I finally found a path out of this.I was able to change my whole narrativeRecently Alex, Founder of Mind Over Mountains, achieved 446. A challenge which saw him ride and run over 446 mountains in Wales and England, within 50 days to break a record, race funds for the charity and inspire others to get out in the rain and join him. We spoke about all these challenges, both personal and professional, what drives him, what he’s looking to achieve, the why, and most importantly, what he’s learning about himself and life along the way.We love his candid approach, not always easy when you don’t yet have your own answers, and for that reason, I loved the open conversation and exploration. It's about trying to give people the tools and the confidence that they can go out on their own.But often people come to us because they've lost confidence. They’ve not walked for years. You’ll hear the balance between wanting to explore more in my questioning, and giving space for the stories and the experiences. Definitely a further conversation to be had, as Alex opens the door to more topics and emotions. Thank you Alex, and we hope this provokes some emotions for you as you listen about the benefits of being outside whatever your age, and the very notion, that you can make a plan and achieve great things for yourself when you put your mind to it, and ‘trust the process’.Here’s further details of Alex Staniforth, and of Mind Over Mountains. | 8/6/25 | ![]() Ep 26: 'From Fear to Flow' with Eleanor O'Rourke | We describe Eleanor as our Soulhub ‘oracle’. She has an incredible depth of knowledge, and intuitive sense. She is also highly skilled at weaving myths and stories into our every day experiences to help us make sense of how it all works. Our conversation, of course, has flow at the heart of it, as we swing and sway through conversations of what she means by creativity, soul qualities, programming, quantum physics, conscious and unconscious patterns. If you’re wondering any of the following, you will love this episode”* What is ‘energy’ in therapeutic terms mean?* Am I creative?* How do I become more creative?* How do I feel more alive again?* What does creativity have to do with humanity?* What is really going on in the world right now, from an energetic perspective?People often think flow is always a good thing, a lovely thing. It's all pastoral and lovely. It's like trees and nature. But it's not. It's just collective energy. So it can be destructive as well.Jump in, and enjoy the conversation, and if you have any questions, then please do leave them below. | 7/17/25 | ![]() Ep 25: 'Beneath The Vanity' with Kalindi Jordan | Trusting the flow of a conversation is like gold for me. Being given the permission to allow it to unfold organically, and simply see where the energy takes us, is sublime. Each conversation we have on the Soulhubber’s Podcast, is, rightly, only ever a moment in time. A snippet of someone’s life. A shared moment between two people, which you get the privilege to overhear. The more we do these podcasts, the more we unfold the true reflections of our souls.Kalindi Jordan is a transformation therapist, sex coach and facilitator, who specialises in sexual healing, sacred intimacy and conscious connection for women and couples. Few women have the depth of transformational experience she holds. She also possesses a wonderful ability to uses her transcendence to help guide others within her work. She’s authentic with her self and her being, most importantly, always open to learning more about the human condition. In this very special episode, Kalindi shares her path through this healing work.. We talk about the power of presence in understanding self, and finding balance in the body. We also delve into her unique way of processing. How does she deal with grief and healing? “ It's not like we're going to get rid of pain in the human experience, but I can be in relationship to painful emotions.I can be in relationship to mental distress.I can be in relationship with pain in my body. And that's what healing is, it’s to be in relationship.”5 years ago Kalindi had, what she would later discover was Alopecia Universalis, which emerged as the world went into lockdown. She lost her long bushy hair, and in fact her full body hair, which hasn’t returned. She had to go deep, and ask herself…“Can you find the beauty now?You know, can you really, like…can you really fall in love with yourself now?Even when your vanity, like, the vanity's been knocked. You know, my reasonably good looking self, a part of that taken away. Can you do it now?Can you find the beauty? What does it mean?Oh, my God, so many layers of that.”So if you're wondering how someone moves through this, and how they manage themselves and others around them, how they hold grief and embrace themselves, then please do listen. | 6/23/25 | ![]() Ep 24: Wild Card Stephen Kirk | Off we go then….!Stephen Kirk has so many more stories and depth to him, than this 50 minute podcast can convey. To give you a flavour. He founded one of the first UK cable TV companies - Cable London. And then simultaneously, Broadsystem, which pioneered interactive services for newspapers and TV companies, which he sold to Rupert Murdoch. He’s also held many NED positions including the Shine Group and and Chairman of the Ink Factory. All aided by…“I’m blessed with an ability to see the future and this gift enabled me to establish companies, with varying degrees of success, in technology”His life is a continual stream of synchronicities, maybe because of his meditation practice, but also, what feels like an absence of fear of what could go wrong. He’s narrowly avoided death from colon cancer, saved by a witch (a story for another time), which led him on another path, this one to love, with his wife Luiza. He’s trained as an Executive Coach and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner to help him better understand the needs of aspiring entrepreneurs and himself. He now works with individuals and businesses, whether as a Board Advisor or Coach. His new book ‘Wild Card’ is based on fictional characters and any link to people or businesses is purely coincidental!!! It has now come to ‘market’ some 20 years sitting on his computer hard drive, as you’ll hear more about today. I didn't want to write about my life and all the dramas in it and all that sort of stuff. What I wanted to do, however, was to piece together all the weird synchronicities that have happened during my business life and weave them into a story that had a middle, beginning and an end.Stephen and Luiza (a fabulous chi-gong teacher) have been part of the Soulhub community, supporting and sharing all of our work together, so it’s with great pleasure to host this conversation with Stephen. | 4/5/25 | ![]() Ep 23: Soul Stories with Mark Michel and the 'Sounds of the Icebergs' | The winding and interconnected story of Mark Michel, Musto jackets, Soulhub, Drake Passage, Antartica, and icebergs.Carmen Rendell reminisces on the stories shared across continents and, now over a decade ago. Some stories should be shared further, and this is one of them. Not just because it highlights the change in our climate, or the remarkable work of Mark and the team in Antartica recording the sounds and images of the icebergs, but because of how the story is told by Mark, and how their experience and his talent transcends the air waves.I wonder at what point we became so estranged from our relationship with this Earth. You’re instantly transported to Australis, their vessel, and on the boat with Mark and the team. Antarctica is a place not meant for humankind. colourful and often tragic history reflects this. It is not that we are unwelcome here, more that we are not, perhaps, natural. In simple terms, it a beautiful tale, including how Carmen and Mark connected across the oceans, and still having yet to meet, brings you on board to relive how these Lincoln, Yoko and Ernest icebergs and their micro-environments end up projected onto the Auckland Museum. Please do share and let us know what you felt as you listen to Mark’s story. We’d love to know what it evokes in you. | 3/20/25 | ![]() Ep 22: Soul Stories with Painter Sue Rapley | Carmen Rendell recorded a short back story ahead of her conversation with painter Sue Rapley, as their connection through Soulhub goes back to our Soulhub Journal No 3, and the web of unfolding felt worthy of good air time. It shows the magic of Soulhub and the beauty of serendipitous moments in not just Carmen and Sue’s life but all those touched by her artwork, the journal and Soulhub. And these are just the ones we know about. Our entwining story, leads us up to the present day, as we create our Soulful Meadows Painting Retreat this May (17-18 May 2025). What’s missing in the story is Sue’s raison d’etre. What led her to paint? What does she experience as she goes through her process, and for someone who spend decades estranged from her passion, how did she find her way back to it. It’s a surprise story that took her back to art college, more than 30 years ago, and a squiggly path of many industries before she re-found the paintbrush. A supportive husband Dave, and a mentor who arrives just as the student was ready, meant that Sue’s love of the sea and desire to sit with her thoughts and creativity, finally found the space and canvas to be explored. It's finding how you can create something that has real meaning and that's actually really coming from your heart and from your soul, really. We hope you enjoy both spectrums, the introduction and then our podcast together. For more information on Sue and her work, please do check out her website and instagram. | 3/11/25 | ![]() Ep 21: 'Why Dance?' with Palestinian women, Tamara & Sara | We go a little off the UK track, as we responded to the signs in front of us. Through our dear friend and Dance Al Fresco DJ Youssef Boutayeb, we were led to the work of CADFA, Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association led by Human Rights lawyer Nandita Dowson. Youssef is a super connector, who works deeply in his local borough, bridging many worlds across music, cultures and communities. CADFA works in the UK to promote awareness about the human rights situation in Palestine. Starting in 2003 when people from the London borough of Camden made links with people in Abu Dis a town in the Jerusalem suburb. Within their core work, they organise exchange programmes with the young people of Jerusalem. As a perfect connection to our ‘Why Dance?’ series with Andrew Cuerden, we explore with dance teacher Tamara, and her friend and colleague Sara (and at times translator) what dance means to their culture, how it infiltrates life, and right now amongst the rubble and war, what dance brings them on the ground in such a difficult time. As Andrew talks into, this is not a political podcast. However as we’re all experiencing politics influences everything in all of our lives. This podcast is a conversation between Andrew, Tamara and Sara and Human Rights Lawyer and CADFA CEO Nandita Dowson, who has enabled us a window of time in which we can meet and interview Tamara and Sara. As we all, Carmen, Youssef and Andrew, sat through the recording of this episode, we felt extremely moved and touched by Tamara and Sara and their way of expressing all things culture, life and hope. We don’t want to reduce their words to ours, or indeed paraphrase their emotions to diminish what you might feel as you listen to their stories. For this reason, we just ask you to listen to this episode with curiosity about what life might be like for the women in Jerusalem and how dance changes our worlds. Following the recording, we joined CADFA for a beautifully open dinner where we felt welcomed with open arms. A symbolism of the culture in itself. We left moved and emotional, as we went about our usual evening, feeling blessed to have met them all and privileged to hear their stories. For more information on CADFA check them out here, and see how you might want to engage or support their work. For obvious reasons we haven’t used their surnames or images of Tamara and Sara but if you’d like to connect, then please do email CADFA. In conversation with today’s host, Carmen Rendell, you’ll get beautiful insights into her own business, PACT (Play, Act, Create and Transform) Creative Training for 9 years which delivers play-based workshops for companies, schools and adult groups focused on staff wellbeing and team building around London and beyond. It’s another fascinating and often undervalued aspect of our culture here in the West and our ability to play. To express ourselves in a silly or often child like way. Why is that? Well hold that thought and listen to our conversation as we explore our humanness and playfulness. And just to inspire you, here’s a snapshot of something which stood out for us in the conversation in relation to the work Jess does…“Let the play do the work. I think it’s the joyfulness. It’s accessing that humour and laughter. Sometimes I do a guided meditation afterwards to look at where we hold joy in the body. To remember it’s always there and accessible”To find out more about Jess and her work, check our PACT Creative Training. or you can follow her on Insta at PACT Creative Get full access to Sole to Soul Inspiration by Soulhub at soulhub.substack.com/subscribe | 56m 10s | ||||||
