OG Mike Holt was a seasoned Crip who brought West Coast gangster tactics to Texas as an armed robber, dope dealer, and street enforcer. In 2008, I arrested Mike along with 50 other Crips in Operation Fishbowl—one of the most significant federal gang conspiracy cases in U.S. history. Mike was the oldest defendant in the case and was ultimately betrayed by other defendants, resulting in a 20-year federal sentence stacked consecutively on state parole violations—essentially condemning him to life in prison.
