In this Viral Volley Podcast/CVW crossover episode, Rob checks in with former Cornerstone Christian super star, Megan Fitch, who finished a remarkable first year at Texas A&M as a National Champion! From their meeting at the Durango Fall Classic in 2023 (Rob may have said 2024 in this episode) along with Aggie alumna and USA National Team Libero and Olympic Silver Medalist Stacy Sykora who were on the call at the event, it was apparent Head Coach Jamie Morrison had a talented athlete coming his way! Rob gave a shout out to one of Megan’s former Warrior teammate, Kaia Thiele of UNLV! We talk about Megan’s first season in training, media days, playing in front of massive crowds at national powerhouses and competition through the 2025 season. Naturally, we discuss her freshman experience going into her first NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament and how Head Coach Jamie Morrison dialed in the Aggies for their title run! With the 2026 season coming into view, Megan gives some thoughts as to what we can see competition wise for the Aggies and the gauntlet of a schedule Texas A&M will have to kick off the year! In our news segment we remember Steven Lee Sander, father to Taylor and Brenden, two wonderful personalities in Men’s Volleyball. Other news for the week, had former Stanford All-American Matt Fuerbringer being named as Head Coach of the USAV Beach Team as well. From there we go into the “Elephant in the Room,” that highlights the Coaching Panelists’ matches in Week 9, “Eye Catching Matches” of the week and finally, the panel’s “Ballers/Players of the Week.” New this week, is “Jay’s Quick Hits” segment where we bounce a handful of NCAA Men’s Volleyball questions/topics on the spot for a hot take! In our Week 8 recap of the 2026 season the Coaches’ Panel (minus Dan out with the flu) discusses the action that happened in D1-2 Men’s Volleyball at our half way point! From there we discuss the start of a new D2 program at Mercy University, career milestones for Kevin Burch of Ohio St. and Shawn Olmstead of BYU.
