Hello there and welcome to another episode in this sixth season of Theatrical Shenanigans as we start to steer towards the end of the series. Today we are bringing you a play by Kate Mcleod (https://www.katemcleodplaywright.com/) Kate is a playwright, lyricist, librettist, author, and former journalist. Most of her 20 plays have received productions and readings throughout the northeast, in London and Alaska at Edward Albee’s Last Frontier Theatre Conference. She was also commissioned to write a play for the anniversary of the Lincoln Funeral Train and if all that wasn’t enough she’s a member of the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive, The League of Professional Theatre Women where she serves on the membership committee and The Dramatists Guild. Kate’s play today is called TeaTime and when talking about her inspiration Kate says “I think we have all been in situations where FINALLY, a play is going to be produced. The cast and director are assembled pretty much without the writer's input. What can go wrong?
