It's time to take the podcast back to the Yautja's in the latest film in the Predator universe! This time though, the Predator's aren't on earth, nor are they hunting any humans, and there isn't a meaningful human to even speak of in this film! " Predator: Badlands (2025) is a science fiction action film directed by Dan Trachtenberg that shifts the franchise focus by making a young, exiled Yautja (Predator) named Deck the main character. Set on a dangerous, hostile planet, Deck must prove his worth by surviving and hunting, eventually forming an unlikely alliance with a Weyland-Yutani android named Thia" It was always going to be a little tough to follow up the success of Prey which was the AMAZING Predator film that came before this one! BUT, while probably not as good as that movie, this still is not a film that you should sleep on! With Rotten Tomatoes scoring it in the high 80's, I promise that it's at least worth a first watch. While Prey was a fantastic movie, I will say that this film does a better job at opening up the universe to different worlds and to different species.
