He instructs Megawatt and Flint Marko to attack Morris' campaign office and steal his money as Lonnie retrieves Silvermane's confiscated booze from the police.In an early house in the city Ben drowns his sorrows over Cat's betrayal and beats up a group of dock workers who criticised the aging Spider. After some encouragement from Robbie to help the other meta humans, Ben prepares doses of the antidote to cure all of them and plans to use it on himself afterwards. As the Spider struggles against Lincoln and the corrupt police officers due to previously overusing his webbing at the bar fight, Robbie manages to inject the cure in Lincoln through his eye and the two help him evade the police officers. While Ben recovers from the fight, Lincoln thanks the two for helping him, encourages Robbie to find another way to report outside of the Daily Bugle, and leaves the city with his mother. Both Silvermane and Morris find out that Tombstone has been cured. She reasoned that the club boss wouldn't let her live a happy life with Flint Marko after Silvermane murdered her first fiancé. But Flint is listening in to their discussion and, seeing them almost kiss, he feels betrayed and decides to return to work for Silvermane.As his first job Silvermane uses Marko to intimidate Morris into backing off on his campaign ending Prohibition.Meanwhile Robbie and Janet interview Lonnie Lincoln at the office. After careful investigation they learn the powers he, Addison and Marko have, come from experimentation on them when they were prisoners of war. He doesn't know much detail but directs them to Dr Faber who has been helping them.Ben and Cat spend the night at his place, where he reveals that his fiance Ruby died from a criminal he caught seeking revenge. They both leave separately after hearing a metahuman is attacking the Diamond District. Both believe it's Flint Marko.But the metahuman is a criminal with the ability to absorb and release electricity. Ben arrives in his costume as the Spider and eventually defeats him by shutting off the power in the area to prevent him from storing any more electricity. Once defeated, Mayor Morris uses The Spider's victory to boost his reelection campaign. Later that night, after observing the battle in the Diamond District, Cat returns to Ben's apartment and deduces that he is the Spider.
