| 5/8/24 | Glazin' WeHo w/ Mike Glazer | The very funny stand-up Mike Glazer hops in the Fartvan to evangelize West Hollywood with The Jons, and man, I think I'm convinced. I've never heard anyone truly enjoy WeHo, unapologetically, this much. I lived there myself, I had a hard time! Mike's clearly thrivin' and I'm truly jealous. They should pay him for this podcast! | — | ||||||
| 5/1/24 | 2 Jons 1 Ron (Funches) | The hilarious Ron Funches hops in the Fartvan to dish: where's the best place to visit in Japan, who was the funniest DIY comic in Portland in the aughts, and a heartwarming story about how Daly himself welcomed Ron to LA. BONUS: Bill Cosby Bukowski update. | — | ||||||
| 4/24/24 | Buskin' with Brian Huskey | The voice you know by heart, Brian Huskey hops in the van and the world itself begins to unravel around it. Chaos in the streets, mishaps during the coffee run, all the while attempting to outrun the long shadow of IBS. Huskey's voice is so prolific, It's hard not to feel at home listening to him chop it up with the Jons. Kick your feet up and enjoy some AAA level pipes. | — | ||||||
| 4/17/24 | Steven McDonald (Redd Kross, Melvins, Tenacious D) Takes The Wheel | Redd Kross and Current Melvins’ Steven McDonald is a foundational part of LA's punk scene, and a brilliant songwriter and guitar player. Redd Cross’s new Double Album, “Self-Titled Album” kicks ass, and Steven was generous enough to give The Jons an early listen. The album soars to heights untold. Held together with harmonies Steven and his brother Jeff McDonald blend together so solidly it allows the band to explore the entire matrix of rock music and yet, remain Redd Cross. The album has many twists and turns, not unlike the twists and literal turns this episode of Two Jons Takes. Like no other episode before it: it contains driver-swaps, spontaneous hitchhiker pickups, and Steven eventually taking the wheel of the FARTVAN(!) and yet it is all held together with a beautiful tapestry of lefts, and no rights. Truly a groundbreaking episode. | — | ||||||
| 4/11/24 | The CHAKI FUNK WIZARD Hollywood Forever Cemetery Walking Tour Episode | This week on a very special 2 Jons: We get groovy at the graveyard with brilliant musician and Punk Rock Tour Guide Chaki Funk Wizard! Chaki takes the 2 Jons on a *walking* drive through the legendary Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Together they slalom the headstones absorbing Chaki’s Gravespertise with ease. It’s a spooky, groovy, GRAVEY walking tour, and if you're anything like us Jons, you're gonna find the fact that Gunther from Friends is buried next to Burt Reynolds absolutely thrilling! Thanks to the bevy of knowledge Chaki wields this episode has literally hundreds of thrills, spills and Kills! | — | ||||||
| 3/27/24 | We Need to Talk About Kevin Seccia | An extremely funny Jersey roughneck, Kevin Seccia is thrilled to hang on his favorite podcast, and it shows! The Jons are so emboldened by Kevin's powerful vibes that they... and I can't believe I'm saying this... actually dip into North Hollywood. The stories are gripping this episode, and what's even better: they NAME NAMES. Extremely famous people be cautioned; you may just be put on full-blown-blast in the Fartvan this week. You've been warned... | — | ||||||
| 3/20/24 | Two Jons Meet Joe Wong | We hope you like drums, drummers, music and thoughtful takes on Phil Collins because the über talented Joe Wong Wipeout-Intros his way into the Fartvan with The Jons. Also if you have a horse in the race for BDOAT (Best Drummer of All Time) buckle up, because this discouse gets SPICY. Joe's new record "Mere Survival" kicks major ass and his podcast "The Trap Set" is a wonderful and ultra-comprehensive document of our greatest living musicians. Please check it all out, and while you're at it, check out the absolutely immense library of music Joe is responsible for. You will not regret it! | — | ||||||
| 3/13/24 | 2 Jons, A Jane, and A FedEx Hub | The fabulously accomplished Jane Marie hops in the van with an agenda folks. Never before have we seen such wanton chutzpah from a guest, and the Jons are just eating it up. Watch in wonder as our Jons are put to actual work, double and triple tasking full-blown missions. All the while dishing guests, fetching quests, and turning lefts. | — | ||||||
| 3/6/24 | Ben There, Done Rodgers: Two Jons with Ben Rodgers | Visceral madcap fun episode this week with the hilarious Ben Rodgers! We're back in Hollywood and the freaks are out. The boys visit many failed businesses, dilapidated hotels, and hotspots of yesteryear - now doomed and collapsing. The stories flow like wine; the queue of memories is long and fat. Classic yarns followed by jaw-dropping anecdotes. It's got everything you love from our Jons. Right? | — | ||||||
| 2/28/24 | Two Jons, one Zach Cregger | Director of "Barbarian", and Whitest Kids You Know alum Zach Cregger hops in the Fartvan to confess his sins. Daly and "Cregger" have so many visceral stories from their time in New York, that the Jons have no idea where in Los Angeles they are at any point in this episode. The conversation is just that good, and it soars ahead of the traffic lights. But no rights! | — | ||||||
| 2/21/24 | Nick Krollin’ Around With 2 Jons | The episode you've been waiting for is here. Comedy genius and nice dude Nick Kroll blesses the Fartvan! The Jons get down to the REAL RED MEAT of LA: The Sunset Strip. The only Zankou, Guitar Center, and whatever is now where Meltdown Comics once lived. Nick dishes with the Jons on his favorite drive, and then the Jons take him there and they drive the drive! Hell yeah! Frequent Kroll collaborator Jon D vibes with Nick on Kroll Show and skin care, and Frequent Kroll friend Tall Jon navigates an Arby’s drive-thru like a Tall Kyle Busch, buying Nick and Jon D Mochocka shakes (sp?) that they sip till nothing’s left, which is the sole direction turned on this podcast! | — | ||||||
| 2/14/24 | Hollywood Todd Barry | Picture this: It's the rainiest day in LA for the last 20 years. The Jons are behind the wheel of the Fartvan. They have a full tank of gas and as good as it gets guest Mr. Todd Barry. They stop at the famous "the Grove" and walk around in search of margaritas, only to settle (happily!) for some Arnold Palmers. Todd razzes the Two Jons and is very characteristically acerbic. Todd is staying at Hollywood and Vine, where she broke my little bottle of... Love Potion number 9. How fitting that the guy needed the love potion no. 9 to get hard, and now the Hollywood/Vine area is littered with dick pill stores. And piss. Quite a witches brew! A lot like this episode, which has been known to "aid performance". And again we didn't and don't turn right. | — | ||||||
| 2/7/24 | Jon, Jon, Jon(ah Ray), and Alex Winter | Between then two of them, Jonah Ray and Alex Winter have done it all. found a true bond making their latest film "Destroy All Neighbors", which Jon D appears in! Sure the boys are fartvanning' around East LA again, but wouldn't you? West LA being on the opposite side of the earth and all? We got a storm-of-the-century goin' on over here, what do you want? The convo rocks, and with TWO accomplished guests, it covers decades of cool details you probably didn't know, I'd tell you but I don't wanna spoil the ep, it's a good one. | — | ||||||
| 1/31/24 | Nick Wiger is not LEFT out | Nick Wiger, host of Doughboys and Get Played. One of the greatest to ever do it, has done it, *it* being the Two Jons podcast. Wiger lives on the “west” side of Los Angeles, far from the hustle and bustle of the jazz-soaked East Side. The Jons poke, prod, cajole, and threaten Nick until he opens up about himself, his writing, his relationship to the fans, his struggles with Mitch (none?) and his charity work (maybe too much?). Enjoy the podcast! Doughn’t miss this one! | — | ||||||
| 1/24/24 | 2 Jons and a Jessy (Hodges) | In this ep the Jons are burnin' dinosaur bones with the multi-talented Jessy Hodges. Are we on York, or Fig? The squad in the Fartvan(tm) does not care. The vibes are always good in East LA, unless you have to on-ramp the 110 in Highland Park from a dead stop. Which I believe would require a right turn before the on-ramp, so you should never have to see (or hear) that specific maneuver on THIS show. Jessy Hodges is delightful and down to gamble (the California Lottery scratch-off machine) Jessy just released a short film called "Every Part of You" that is winning all the awards, and you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoBqZeSy_T0&t=4s | — | ||||||
