Not just cholesterol or plaque buildup as traditionally taught. Dr. Hussey challenges conventional views, focusing on biophysical/environmental factors (light, water, stress, circadian rhythm) over purely biochemical ones. He helps people gain an empowered, root-cause understanding. • Sunlight & Vitamin D – Beyond Just the Vitamin Sunlight exposure is powerful for cardiovascular health. It's not only about producing Vitamin D – sunlight creates structured water (via near-infrared light), boosts melatonin production in the pineal gland, and supports endothelial (artery lining) health.• Melatonin & Near-Infrared Light Sunlight (especially infrared) triggers melatonin production – hugely beneficial for arteries and overall regeneration. Then one warm August evening whilst competing in a local running event I collapsed shortly before the finish line – sudden cardiac arrest – clinically dead as the doctors delighted in telling me later. Why me and why did I survive are the questions that have been burning me since then… and have taken me down many rabbit holes. Then I realised I was not alone in this… many, like me, who think they are doing everything right are being told they have high risk.. or have had and intervention or even suffered an event (as we prefer to call it). And many are left questioning why… and more importantly what to do now - confused by all the über information out there and the lack of explanation from their doctors or health care professionals (other than the one size fits all cocktail of drugs being prescribed) So 5 years ago I started We Love Our Heart – to create a place for the curious and confused to try and figure out root causes and prevention – not just band aid solutions.
