Breezy Johnson’s Unforgettable Olympic Week PLUS Unrivaled, SheBelieves, and College Vibes

About this episode

Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe discuss the end of Unrivaled's season, the SheBelieves Cup, college basketball madness, and interview Olympic gold medalist Breezy Johnson.

Unrivaled’s second season has come to an end and Sue had a front row for the semis at Barclays. Megan and Sue talk about the end of the season awards and Stewie’s snub from the first and second teams. With the SheBelieves Cup underway, Megan breaks down what she’s liking about the US lineup so far, and what they need to work on. Plus, it’s officially March, and the college basketball vibes are already full of madness. Sue ticks through the biggest upsets so far, and reminisces about her senior night at UConn. And we’re not done talking about the Winter Olympics: Breezy Johnson, who just won the gold in women’s downhill skiing, joins us to talk about her time-defying run and why she always dreamed of getting proposed to at the Olympics. Finally, Megan gives a shout out to the NWSL Players Restitution Fund and urges players to consider applying. The application and an FAQ are available on the league’s website here.
