About this episode
The episode discusses the impact of worry on the body and emphasizes the importance of focusing on the present moment.
So much stress comes from trying to solve problems that haven’t happened yet. Your brain runs simulations: Like What if I fail? What if things fall apart in March or June? Neuroscientists have shown that the brain treats imagined threats almost the same as real ones. Your body reacts even when the future doesn’t yet exist. You can’t control a timeline that isn’t here. You just end up spending today’s energy on a ghost of tomorrow. So what if come back to what you can control. Focus on your breath. Focus on your next immediate step. That’s not avoiding the future. That’s where the real stability is. Right here, right now. This is a public episode.
