This has been an emotional week, a week of grief, anger, uncomfortable truths, and encounters that have reminded me how important discernment has become. What happens when we begin to recognize dishonesty, manipulation, avoidance of responsibility and unhealthy structures around us and realize that remaining silent is also a choice? Every system can develop its “rotten apples.” Sometimes people learn how to hide, manipulate, avoid responsibility or protect structures that should have changed long ago. But when one person begins to speak honestly, something interesting happens: others often begin to recognize what they have been seeing too. And sometimes anger has something important to tell us. Sometimes it says: Enough is enough. Week 35 is an invitation to see more clearly, question what no longer feels right, use our voices, and have the courage to challenge what needs to change without losing our own humanity in the process. Because discernment is not about deciding who is good and who is bad. It is about becoming clear about what we will and will no longer participate in. This week I travelled to 71° North, to Finnmark, the northernmost part of Norway, where I spent time surrounded by powerful landscapes, rich cultural traditions, and many meaningful conversations. It became a week of unexpected encounters and one invitation that has the potential to change the direction of my life.I am not ready to speak about the details yet. But I am ready to speak about what the experience revealed. I believe many people are sensing that humanity is entering a new chapter. The future is asking more of us—to become more conscious of the unique contribution only we can make.
