I just finished watching Members Only: Palm Beach on Netflix, and I didn’t expect it to hit me the way it did. At first glance, the show looks like over-the-top wealth, social rules, and Palm Beach society drama. And yes, some of it is ridiculous. But underneath all of that, there’s a much deeper message about identity, conformity, and what happens when people believe they need to change who they are to belong. In this episode, I talk about Ro Mina storyline and why it made me so uncomfortable and, at the same time, so fired up. Watching her be coached, corrected, and pressured to fit the “Palm Beach way” made one thing very clear to me: any environment that requires you to erase parts of yourself in order to be accepted will eventually cost you your confidence. I share how this theme shows up far beyond reality TV.
