| 8/7/26 | Fighting your invisible ENEMIES | Understanding self sabotage. | "Fighting Invisible Enemies"* examines the psychological and spiritual barriers that hinder personal progress. The source explores internal resistance using Freudian psychology and Stoic philosophy to explain why individuals often sabotage their own potential. It characterizes these obstacles as invisible" forces such as doubt masquerading as realism or comfort being mistaken for wisdom. We suggest that the most intense opposition often arises when someone is pursuing their true purpose. Ultimately, the text seeks to redefine these internal struggles as **meaningful signals** rather than simple character flaws. The episode concludes by challenging the audience to find ways to combat these **hidden obstructions** to their success.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/on-point-with-atiba-teslim--6746895/support. | 8/1/26 | Why You Can't Be Your Own Lightbulb | Being "The Light Of God," which explores the difficulty of identifying one's inherent internal gifts. Using Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and Stoic philosophy, the source suggests that people often live by habit rather than true perception. It examines the tension between personal effort and divine intervention in achieving clarity. The material emphasizes that true illumination comes from an external source rather than the individual, making the invisible visible. Ultimately, the episode challenges listeners to consider what internal or external forces prevent them from seeing their true potential. This script serves as a philosophical and spiritual guide for self-discovery through the lens of faith.Welcome to the Atiba Teslim Podcast this is our new series A Gift From God- The Light Of God.If the ultimate gift was already placed inside of you, why is it often the hardest thing to see clearly? In this episode, we explore the profound difference between simply having "sight" and experiencing true illumination So many of us are navigating our own lives like walking into a dark, familiar room—moving strictly by the memory of what we were told, rather than actually seeing what is right in front of us.Join us as we bridge deep philosophy and spiritual faith to unpack how to finally see your internal gift. We dive into Plato's Allegory of the Cave, discussing the danger of mistaking mere shadows for reality, and contrast it with the Stoic concept of the hegemonikon—the inner guiding faculty that we can train for clearer perception. But does clarity come from your own exhausting effort, or is it a light that finds you? We reveal the ultimate "Faith Turn": true illumination isn't a self-generated lightbulb moment. Instead, it is an external source—the Light of God—that finally makes your pre-existing, internal gift visible.Tags/Keywords for SEO: Atiba Teslim Podcast, A Gift From God, The Light of God, spiritual clarity, Plato's Allegory of the Cave, Stoicism, hegemonikon, discovering internal gifts, Christian faith, spiritual awakening, self-discovery.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/on-point-with-atiba-teslim--6746895/support. | 6/8/26 | Finding words for the nameless emotions...... | There are feelings we carry for years without ever having a name for them. A quiet ache when you return to a place that no longer feels like home. The strange sadness that follows a happy moment. The longing for something you cannot quite describe. The feeling of missing a version of yourself that no longer exists. In this episode, we explore the search for words that can hold our most difficult emotions. Why do some feelings seem impossible to explain until we stumble across a poem, a song lyric, a book passage, or even a single word that suddenly makes everything make sense? We talk about the relief that comes with naming an emotion and how language can transform confusion into clarity. When we find the right words, our experiences stop feeling isolated. What once felt like a private mystery becomes something shared, understood, and deeply human.Together, we examine the emotions that live in the spaces between happiness and sadness, love and loss, certainty and doubt. The feelings that shape our lives despite often going unspoken. At the heart of this conversation is a question many of us have quietly carried. "How much of our emotional struggle comes not from what we feel, but from not having the language to describe it?"Join us as we search for the words behind our most nameless emotions and discover what happens when we finally find them. Have you ever felt yourself having a certain emotion but you can't just pick the right word to define it. | 6/6/26 | When a stranger's voice knows you better than most people | You're going about your day, doing something completely ordinary, when a song comes on. Suddenly, time seems to pause. Not because the lyrics are dramatic or the melody is heartbreaking, but because every word feels uncomfortably familiar. It captures a feeling you've struggled to explain, a memory you've carried in silence, or a part of yourself you've never quite put into words. In this episode, we explore the strange and beautiful power of music to understand us. How does a stranger, someone who has never met you, write lyrics that seem to tell your story? Why do certain songs arrive at exactly the right moment, saying the things no one around you knows how to say?We reflect on the songs that have carried us through heartbreak, uncertainty, grief, healing, and growth. We examine how music becomes a refuge for emotions too large to contain, offering comfort without judgment and companionship without demands. In cultures where vulnerability is often hidden behind strength, music can become one of the few places where our feelings are allowed to exist in their fullest form.At the heart of this conversation is a simple but profound question: What does it mean when a stranger's voice understands something about you that even the people closest to you cannot see? You're going about your day, doing something completely ordinary, and a song comes on. Suddenly, something in you goes very still not because the song is sad, but because it is perfectly accurate. In this episode, we use fictional characters Ade and Simi to explore why some songs feel like they were written specifically about your life. We talk about what it means when a stranger's voice in your earphones knows you better than most people in your life do. We explore how songs become "containers for emotions too large to hold," how they make grief feel survivable, and how they sit with you in the dark without asking you to explain yourself. Especially in cultures where expressing deep emotion is discouraged, we discuss how music often becomes the only safe space for feelings to be as large as they actually are.Join us as we ask the deeper question underneath it all: what does it mean that three minutes of music can make you feel more seen than years of being known by someone?Join us for a thoughtful exploration of connection, emotion, memory, and the songs that make us feel truly seen.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/on-point-with-atiba-teslim--6746895/support. | 1/28/26 | Outgrowing My Friends | This episode talks about Outgrowing our friends from our series A friend on the road. Nobody prepares you for this part of life — the part where friendship stops being about matching vibes and starts being about matching direction. When we were younger, friendship was simple: you liked someone, they liked you back, and that was enough. But adulthood… adulthood changes the terms without warning. You wake up one day and realize conversations that used to last hours now feel empty. Jokes that used to bond you now feel recycled. You start talking about your goals, your healing, your growth — and they just stare at you, confused or uninterested.
