Ski Beatz is one of rap’s unheralded beat makers. From his work on Jay-Z’s “Reasonable Doubt” to crafting Camp Lo’s hit “Luchini”, Ski’s catalog is full of memorable tracks even if his name isn’t mentioned nearly enough. Consistently pushing the culture forward, whether it be with his collaborative “24 Hour Karate School” project or his recent smack packs, Ski Beatz boasts a career worthy of praise amongst the titans of hip hop production. He also made an impact A&Ring classics and producing hits for legendary MCs, cementing his place in hip hop’s history. As a DJ first and foremost, he dedicated his life to making people happy by playing music. But there’s more to his story as DJ Clark Kent’s dedication and persistence, along with his expert ear, are responsible for some of the culture’s most celebrated moments.
