About this episode

Kyle Newell discusses his thoughts on mediocrity and the myth of balance, emphasizing the importance of mindset in achieving greatness.

'If you are balanced, you suck at everything.' -Dave Tate to me in the summer of 2012 Early in my career, I was seeking balance. I even had a lot of my early tattoos designed for this concept as a constant reminder. However, as the years went on, I realized that balance was more of a myth. It's about harmony, like music notes strung together to make a beautiful song. Then, going further, we are all great and have the potential to become legendary. We hold back too often. We rise and stop at the level of our standards and what we are okay with tolerating. In today's episode, I go over my thoughts about being mediocre. Remember, nothing happens without a thought first. It always comes back to the mind. Pull something useful out this, I am sure there's at least one idea that will connect with you.
