| 10/19/26 | What Does Dan McClellan Actually Believe? My Honest Thoughts on the Mormon Bible Scholar | Dan McClellan is one of the most knowledgeable and consistently informative voices discussing the Bible, religion, and the sociology of religion today. As a Latter-day Saint scholar with extensive academic training, he has built an enormous audience by responding to bad arguments, challenging biblical apologetics, and engaging directly with both believers and non-believers.But what does Dan McClellan actually believe? In this video, I give my honest thoughts on Dan, his scholarship, his approach to social media, his relationship with the Latter-day Saint faith, and the things I admire—and occasionally criticize—about his content.I have tremendous respect for Dan's knowledge and intellectual honesty. He's willing to engage with people who disagree with him, acknowledge mistakes when he makes them, and correct the record. His willingness to tackle claims rather than simply deliver lectures is a big part of what makes his content so compelling.I also discuss one thing I find particularly interesting: Dan deliberately avoids discussing his personal religious beliefs. While I understand his reasoning, I think there's something valuable about publicly stating and defending your own worldview. I take a very different approach to that question. Is Dan a critic of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? Is he an advocate for Mormonism? Is he secretly an atheist? Or is he simply a believer who doesn't want his personal faith to become the focus of his platform? And yes, we have to talk about "Debunking Dan McClellan"—the satirical video I once made that apparently fooled a few people into thinking I was actually trying to debunk him.Ultimately, this is a very positive assessment of someone whose scholarship I genuinely admire. Whether you agree with Dan or not, he's one of the most interesting voices in the modern discussion about the Bible and religion. Thanks for watching!#DanMcClellan #Mormonism #LatterDaySaints #BibleScholar #BiblicalScholarship #ExMormon #MormonNewsRoundupPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MormonNewsRoundupTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonTruth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@NewsMormonPlease like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 10/18/26 | Manners for Missionaries — The Complete Series | 1990s Mormon Missionary Training EXPOSED | In the early 1990s, a rather bizarre Mormon missionary-training video series was produced called Manners for Missionaries.Dating from around 1994, the series was designed to teach LDS missionaries something that apparently went far beyond gospel teaching: how to present themselves, how to dress, how to sit, how to shake hands, how to eat, how to interact with other people, and essentially how to project the “right” image. And here’s the interesting part: the series wasn’t officially produced by the LDS Church or Brigham Young University. However, its creators were faculty and instructors associated with BYU and the Provo Missionary Training Center, and the videos were reportedly shown in missions around the world. The series consists of multiple installments, including The Power of Credibility, Building Credibility, and the particularly memorable Visual Poise for Sisters. That installment is devoted specifically to how female missionaries should carry themselves—including how they pick things up, enter and exit vehicles, and physically present themselves. And this is where things get especially interesting from a modern perspective. Some of the material is simply dated 1990s etiquette. But some of it gets into very gender-specific ideas about how women should move, look, behave, and present themselves—making portions of the series come across as remarkably sexist by today’s standards. So, rather than watching these as isolated clips scattered around the internet, I’ve collected the surviving installments and assembled them into one complete compilation. It’s a fascinating time capsule of missionary culture in the 1990s, and an extraordinary look at just how much emphasis was placed on beauty, appearance, social behavior, credibility, and gender roles. Please enjoy watching Manners for Missionaries!#Mormonism #ExMormon #LDS #MormonMissionaries #MannersForMissionaries #LDSHistory #MormonHistory #MissionaryTraining #ExMormonContentPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MormonNewsRoundupTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonTruth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@NewsMormonPlease like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 10/17/26 | Mormonism’s Changing Theology: From One God to Many Gods, Heavenly Mother & the Holy Ghost Paradox | Welcome to the Mormon News Roundup, where we take a deep dive into the history and evolution of Mormon theology. In this episode, we examine some of the most dramatic developments and contradictions in LDS teachings about God, the Godhead, human exaltation, and the nature of the divine.• The Evolution of the Godhead — How early Book of Mormon teachings about one God compare with Joseph Smith’s later teachings about a plurality of gods.• Heavenly Mother — Why the doctrine of an eternal female counterpart to God became an important part of LDS theology.• The Virgin Birth — Brigham Young’s controversial teachings about the literal physical parentage of Jesus Christ.• Changes to Sacred Texts — The evolution of passages in the Book of Mormon and the removal of the Lectures on Faith from the Doctrine and Covenants.• The Holy Ghost Paradox — How the LDS concept of a spirit-only Holy Ghost creates some fascinating questions about exaltation, physical bodies, celestial marriage, and eternal progression. From the 1830 Book of Mormon to later teachings from Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, Orson Pratt, Bruce R. McConkie, and other LDS leaders, this episode explores how Mormon ideas about God and the universe developed—and sometimes dramatically changed—over time. What happens when doctrines about God, exaltation, and eternal progression evolve? | 10/15/26 | Blood Atonement: How Mormon Leaders Justified Bloodshed and DE@TH in the Name of Almighty God | What did early Mormon leaders actually teach about blood atonement? In this episode of the Mormon News Roundup, we examine some of the most disturbing teachings surrounding blood atonement in 19th-century Mormonism—and the later attempts to explain, minimize, or deny them.Brigham Young taught that certain sins could not be forgiven through the blood of Christ alone, but required the sinner's own blood to be shed. Other early church leaders expanded on the doctrine with horrifying examples involving adultery, theft, apostasy, broken covenants, and other offenses. We examine:– Brigham Young's teachings about sins beyond the reach of Christ's atonement– Heber C. Kimball's graphic rhetoric concerning Judas– The proposed use of javelins and other forms of execution– Jedidiah M. Grant's argument that spilling someone's blood could actually be an act of spiritual love– The relationship between blood atonement and early Mormon racial laws– Historical accounts involving Rasmus Anderson and other alleged cases of blood atonement– Claims by later LDS leaders that blood atonement was theological but never actually practiced– The relationship between Mormon theology and early Utah's capital punishment laws– Why Utah offered execution by hanging, firing squad, or beheading– The later historical legacy of blood atonement and Utah's firing-squad executionsThe central question is one of historical memory and institutional truth:If early church leaders preached blood atonement as the law of God—and later church leaders insisted that the doctrine was merely theoretical—how should we understand the conflicting versions of Mormon history? This episode examines the historical record and lets the evidence speak for itself.Mormon News RoundupHistorical analysis – Mormonism – LDS Church history – Mormon Reformation – Blood Atonement#Mormonism #LDS #BloodAtonement #MormonHistory #BrighamYoung #LDSHistory #MormonNewsRoundupPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MormonNewsRoundupTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonTruth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@NewsMormonRemember, remember, no unhallowed hand can stop this podcast from progressing! The Mormon News Roundup is NOT affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. | 7m 42s | ||||||

We’ll also examine what other Egyptologists have said about the arguments being used to defend Joseph Smith’s translation.Does Muhlestein have a compelling case—or are we watching an elaborate attempt to rescue a translation that simply doesn’t match the evidence? You decide.🎥 Original video:https://youtu.be/_KLa8HYsfpM?is=fRPAyb7RG-p4zunw#BookOfAbraham #JosephSmith #Mormonism #KerryMuhlestein #Egyptology #ExMormonPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonPlease like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 10/13/26 | Lying for the Lord: Mormonism, Secrecy & the Price of Loyalty | What happens when loyalty to a religious institution becomes more important than telling the truth? In this dark historical explainer, we examine the controversial concept historian D. Michael Quinn described as “theocratic ethics”—the idea that deception could be morally justified when used to protect what believers considered a higher religious purpose.Drawing from the source material, we explore allegations and historical controversies surrounding early Mormonism, including:• Joseph Smith's evolving accounts of the First Vision• The changing story surrounding Moroni, Nephi, and the translation of the Book of Mormon• Joseph Smith's secret plural marriages, including polyandrous relationships• The coded language allegedly used to conceal plural marriage• The 1835 public denial of polygamy versus the private practice• The 1890 Manifesto and the controversy over post-Manifesto plural marriages• The Reed Smoot Senate hearings of 1903–1907• Joseph F. Smith's testimony before Congress• Claims of perjury and institutional loyalty during the hearings• The development of modern teachings emphasizing unquestioning loyalty to prophetic authority• The controversial treatment of historians and members who challenge sanitized versions of Mormon historyThe central question is unsettling:What happens to truth when an institution convinces its leaders that protecting the institution is itself a higher moral obligation? This video presents the source's interpretation of these events and the historical arguments surrounding them. The goal isn't simply to provide another list of shocking facts, but to examine the underlying psychology: when does religious loyalty become a justification for deception?Keep questioning. | 10/6/26 | Did Joseph Smith Really Restore the Bible? Ancient Manuscripts vs. Mormon Scripture | What happens when ancient manuscript evidence is compared directly with Mormon claims about biblical corruption? In this episode, we investigate one of the most fascinating questions in Mormon history: Was the Bible actually corrupted—and did Joseph Smith restore what was lost? We’ll examine the claims of early Mormon leaders like Orson Pratt, the famous 130,000 textual variations argument, the Mormon identification of the “great and abominable church,” and the archaeological evidence that emerged with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Then we turn to the New Testament, looking at early papyrus discoveries, the John Rylands Fragment, Papyrus Bodmer II, Codex Vaticanus, and the enormous manuscript tradition behind the New Testament. Finally, we examine Joseph Smith’s Inspired Version of the Bible: how it was produced, what was changed, the controversial additions to the Old Testament, the treatment of 1 John 5:7, and the fascinating physical evidence left behind in the revision manuscripts. If ancient manuscripts preserve biblical passages that Mormon scripture claims were deleted, what does that mean for the idea of a divinely inspired restoration? And perhaps the biggest question of all:When historical evidence and theological revision point in different directions, where do we draw the line between inspiration and imagination?Sources and historical claims discussed in this video are presented for critical examination and discussion. If you enjoy Mormon history, biblical scholarship, archaeology, textual criticism, and deep dives into LDS historical claims, subscribe and keep questioning, keep learning. Please consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonNew videos every day on this channel! Please like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 10/5/26 | Should I Remove My Name from the Mormon Church? I *NEED* your Help! | Should I finally remove my name from the records of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?By the end of this video, I’ll tell you the decision I’ve made—for now—and explain why it’s not nearly as straightforward as you might think.Believe it or not, I’m still technically a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was blessed as an infant, baptized at eight years old, and confirmed a member of the church.I remember my baptism remarkably well. I was baptized by my older brother, who was sixteen at the time. Ironically, he later came out as gay and had his own name removed from the church’s records.I’m also at least a sixth-generation Latter-day Saint through my father’s side. My family has deep roots in Mormon history, including ancestors who devoted their lives to the church. I recently visited my great-grandparents’ graves in Salt Lake City, and that connection to my family history is one of the reasons this decision is more complicated than it might seem.Today, I no longer believe the church’s truth claims. I rarely attend Sunday meetings, and I host a podcast and YouTube channel devoted to examining Mormon history, doctrine, and leadership. I openly criticize many of the church’s teachings and policies. So why am I still on the membership rolls? The LDS Church continues to count people like me as members unless we formally resign. That raises an obvious question: if I no longer believe, should I still allow myself to be counted? There are good arguments for removing my name. There are also surprisingly personal reasons for keeping it there.Resignation is also not something I take lightly. Once your records are removed, returning to the church generally requires rebaptism. And part of me wonders whether I would rather leave on my own terms—or simply wait and see whether the church eventually decides to remove me itself.I even have a strange part of me that almost wants the church to hold a membership council. If that happened, I would welcome the opportunity to explain directly to church leaders why I no longer believe.Of course, leadership changes. A bishop who doesn't care about my public criticism today might be replaced by someone who sees things very differently tomorrow. So where do I stand? For now, I have no plans to remove my records. But I also recognize that the church could eventually make that decision for me.Should I remove my name? Should I stay on the records? Or should I simply wait and see what happens?Let me know what you think in the comments. This is one of the biggest personal decisions I’ve wrestled with, and I genuinely want to hear your perspective. Thanks for watching.#Mormon #ExMormon #LDS #Mormonism #LDSChurch #LeavingMormonismPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonNew videos every day on this channel! Please like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 10/4/26 | The “Rod of Aaron”: Did Oliver Cowdery Use a Divining Rod to Receive Revelation? Mormonism Examined | Did Oliver Cowdery really receive a supernatural “gift of Aaron” from God—or was the original revelation referring to a divining rod?In April 1829, while serving as Joseph Smith’s scribe during the translation of the Book of Mormon, Oliver Cowdery sought the ability to translate. The resulting revelation, now found in Doctrine and Covenants 8, describes Cowdery’s mysterious “gift of Aaron” and says he would “hold it in his hands.”But there’s an important detail that largely disappears from the modern version of the scripture. An earlier version of the revelation, published in the Book of Commandments, described Cowdery’s gift as the “gift of working with the rod” and referred to a “rod of nature” that could work in his hands. So what happened to the rod?In this video, we examine the historical evidence surrounding Oliver Cowdery, divining rods, treasure hunting, Joseph Smith’s seer stones, and the changes made to the revelation when it was incorporated into the Doctrine and Covenants. We’ll look at:• The original “gift of working with the rod” wording• The later change to “gift of Aaron”• Oliver Cowdery’s documented use of a divining rod• The LDS Church’s explanations of the “gift of Aaron”• Joseph Smith’s involvement with treasure seeking and folk magic• Historical statements from Mormon historians and Church sources• The claim that Oliver’s rod was a legitimate “sacred instrument”• Whether the changes represent clarification—or an attempt to distance Mormonism from its folk-magic origins• What this tells us about the world in which early Mormonism developedThe question isn’t simply whether Oliver Cowdery owned a stick. The bigger question is what Joseph Smith and his earliest followers actually believed these objects could do—and how that history was later presented to modern Latter-day Saints.Based on historical material discussed by MormonThink, LDS publications, the Joseph Smith Papers, BYU Studies, and other historical sources.Topics: Mormon history, Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Book of Commandments, Rod of Aaron, divining rods, folk magic, treasure hunting, seer stones, Mormon apologetics, LDS history, ex-Mormon#Mormonism #JosephSmith #OliverCowdery #LDS #MormonHistory #BookOfMormon #ExMormon #DoctrineAndCovenants #ChurchHistoryPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonNew videos every day on this channel! Please like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 10/3/26 | The Worst of Brigham Young: Highlights from His Most Outrageous Sermons | Brigham Young was the second president and prophet of the early Mormon Church—and one of the most controversial religious leaders of 19th-century America. In this video, we examine a compilation of some of Brigham Young’s most outrageous, bizarre, extreme, and disturbing sermons. His views on race, women, sexuality, religion, and social order could be shocking even by the standards of his own era.Rather than simply telling you what Brigham Young believed, we’re going to let his own words speak for themselves. This is a historical reenactment featuring an actor portraying Brigham Young inside a historic Mormon Tabernacle. The goal is to bring these historical statements to life while allowing you to hear them in context and decide for yourself just how extreme these teachings really were. This video is presented for historical, educational, and critical commentary purposes.Listen carefully. Some of these statements are difficult to believe—but they come directly from the historical record. What do you think? Were Brigham Young’s teachings merely products of their time, or were some of them extreme even for the 19th century?#BrighamYoung #MormonHistory #LDS #Mormonism #ChurchHistory #ExMormon #ReligiousHistoryPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonNew videos every day on this channel! Please like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 10/3/26 | The Secret History of the Mormon Temple: Masonry, Polygamy & Changing Rituals | What is the documented origin of the Mormon temple endowment—and what does the history of its changing rituals tell us about claims of unchanging divine revelation? In this episode of Mormon News Roundup, we trace the evolution of some of the most important and controversial temple practices in Latter-day Saint history, from baptism for the dead and eternal marriage to the temple garment, blood oaths, the oath of vengeance, and the origins of the endowment ceremony in Nauvoo. We examine the historical timeline surrounding Joseph Smith's initiation into Freemasonry in 1842 and the introduction of the Mormon endowment just weeks later, along with the striking similarities between early Masonic and Mormon ritual practices. We also look at how temple garments and ceremonies were subsequently modified—including the removal of the penalties and oath of vengeance—and ask a larger historical question:If rituals presented as divinely revealed and essential to exaltation can change dramatically over time, what does that mean for the claim that those revelations are unchangeable? This episode explores the history, documents, teachings, and evolution behind the modern Mormon temple experience.Chapters:• Baptism for the Dead• Eternal Marriage & Polygamy• The Temple Garment• Blood Oaths & the Oath of Vengeance• The Masonic Connection• The Origins of the Endowment• What Does “Unchanging Revelation” Mean? Please consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonNew videos every day on this channel! Please like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 9/30/26 | White Suits, Stolen Keys & Fried Chicken: Mormon Leadership’s Christ Cosplay | Russell M. Nelson in a white suit. A symbolic touch of Peter’s keys. The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve dressed in matching white. And, inevitably, a Colonel Sanders meme. This video takes a look at the strange—and sometimes hilarious—imagery surrounding modern LDS leadership and asks what these carefully staged photographs are really communicating. From Nelson’s appearance outside the Washington D.C. Temple to the infamous photograph at the Rome Italy Temple, where he appears to reach toward the keys held by a statue of the Apostle Peter, the symbolism is hard to miss. In LDS theology, priesthood keys and apostolic authority are central to the Church’s claim that it is the restored Church of Jesus Christ. Then there are the white suits.Temple clothing is intended to symbolize purity, unity, and equality—but when an entire room full of LDS apostles appears in matching white suits, the imagery can also look remarkably corporate, theatrical, and, thanks to the internet, a little bit like a KFC convention. This episode explores the intersection of Mormon authority, church branding, religious symbolism, leader imagery, and the sometimes bizarre visual language of LDS institutional culture. Is it reverence? Religious symbolism? Carefully managed image-making? Or just some spectacular Mormon photo-op material? You decide.#Mormonism #ExMormon #LDS #RussellNelson #MormonChurch #LDSChurch #MormonMemes #ChurchLeaders #MormonHistory #FaithDeconstruction #ExLDS #MormonCriticismPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonNew videos every day on this channel! Please like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 9/23/26 | Nemo the Mormon Sent a Letter to the First Presidency Accusing LDS Leaders of Dishonesty | In early 2022, Nemo the Mormon sent a remarkable letter to the Office of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The letter was the culmination of months of discussions with local Church leaders over a serious question: What should a member do if they have evidence that senior Church leaders have acted dishonestly, but local leadership cannot resolve the concerns? After contacting members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve, Nemo received instructions from Elder Brook P. Hales, Secretary to the First Presidency, to present the information to his stake president, who would then forward it to the Office of the First Presidency for investigation.Nemo followed those instructions. His letter formally opposed sustaining Russell M. Nelson, Dallin H. Oaks, Henry B. Eyring, and the Quorum of the Twelve as Prophets, Seers, and Revelators. He then presented evidence he believed demonstrated a broader pattern of dishonesty or misleading statements among senior Church leaders. The letter examines claims involving:• Dallin H. Oaks and electroshock aversion therapy at BYU• Jeffrey R. Holland and Proposition 8• M. Russell Ballard and Church transparency• Russell M. Nelson's "plane of death" story• Brigham Young's Adam-God and blood atonement teachings• The Salamander Letter and Dallin H. Oaks• Changes to LDS temple ordinances• Temple penalties and Jeffrey R. Holland• Missionary baptism practices• Brigham Young and slavery• Church wealth and Neil L. Andersen• Race-related Church curriculum and Gary E. StevensonAt the heart of the letter is a much larger question:If prophets are imperfect men, how should members respond when they believe those prophets have been dishonest? And if Church leaders claim to speak for God, what does dishonesty mean for prophetic authority? In this video, we examine Nemo the Mormon's letter, the evidence it presented, and the difficult questions it raised about LDS leadership, prophetic authority, transparency, and the doctrine of sustaining Church leaders.#Mormonism #LDS #NemoTheMormon #ExMormon #LDSChurch #MormonHistory #ChurchHistory #ProphetsPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonNew videos every day on this channel! Please like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. | 9/19/26 | GAME OVER | After five years and thousands of videos, I think it’s finally time to ask the question: When will the Mormon News Roundup end?I started this channel in 2022 after spending roughly twelve years physically in but mentally out of the LDS Church. I never expected the channel to grow the way it has, with some videos reaching millions of views. I also never expected to still be doing this years later. But how long can one person keep talking about Mormonism? In this video, I talk honestly about the future of Mormon News Roundup—including the things that could actually bring the channel to an end.Could it be the LDS Church's legal challenges and copyright claims? Could repeated copyright disputes eventually threaten the channel? Could lawsuits, harassment, or the personal cost of being a public critic of Mormonism become too much?Or is the most likely ending much less dramatic—that one day I simply lose interest?I also talk about how the channel has evolved from a Mormon news podcast into something much broader, why evergreen content may eventually allow me to slow down production, what happened to Real Talk Mormonism, and why AI video creation has made creating content exciting for me all over again. The bottom line is simple: I don't know when Mormon News Roundup will end. But as long as I still have something worth saying—and I still enjoy saying it—I'm not going anywhere. Thanks for watching and for being part of this journey.#MormonNewsRoundup #Mormonism #ExMormon #LDS #MormonYouTubePlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundupEmail: [email protected]: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundupInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dives.lazarus/X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormonPlease like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell.
