is turning a tree or a shrub造型园艺就是把树木或灌木into a shape so this starts off as just a big blob修剪成型，这原本就是一大团this is a golden yew这是一棵金色紫杉here so Ned where do you start with this奈德，你这从哪儿开始剪？literally from the top当然是从顶部down so I'll start up here往下剪，我从这儿开始you can see those things longer bits here你看这些长出来的枝条and I'll just rest gently against the top of the我轻轻靠在这个的顶部top of the piece造型顶部I'm genuinely scared idea being that这么设计是为了she can get right down tight alleyways能顺利穿过狭窄小巷or around corners easier过弯也更方便the company says that公司表示a person will be with her at all times全程都会有工作人员陪同它and is there to support people为大家提供协助rather than replace them而非取代人力as demand for home delivery grows随着送货上门需求增长so所以maybe we could see her around more often in the future未来我们可能会经常见到它thank you for that Shaniqua谢谢尚尼夸的报道and plate然后就到振动板了and what this part does is这个部分的作用是it takes the Lego from the top把顶部的乐高and it shakes it down into a single piece震动分散成单个积木that goes under our camera systems送到摄像系统下方oh wow we only want one piece under the cameras哇，摄像头下每次只留一块积木so then it can see这样它就能识别so the camera itself or the brain takes pictures摄像头也就是主控会拍摄of every single Lego piece每一块乐高的照片and then we have 2 because it double checks it我们设置两步操作，因为要二次核对and then we can decide之后我们就能确定what piece that set belongs to该零件属于哪套积木we then use a jet of air接着我们用一股气流to blow it into one of these bins把它吹进对应料箱so you can see here大家看这里we've got your Lego living split into red你们的乐高已经被分成红色green or that final one is tan colored绿色，最后一类是棕褐色we have 50 bins here so we could have sorted your Lego我们有50个料箱，能把你们的乐高into lots of different parts and pieces分成很多不同的零件类别we'll probably even put your leg into back into我们甚至能把送来的乐高重新拼成a set so all very cool整套积木，是不是很酷but why is the machine like this needed但为什么需要这样的机器呢Lego itself is made from a plastic called ABS乐高是用ABS塑料制作的and that is actually can be recycled这种塑料其实可以回收but it's really really difficult但回收难度非常大too so if we can所以如果我们能take Lego sets here在这里回收乐高套装that might have gone into a landfill and reuse them避免它们被填埋，重新利用we're doing our part我们就是在尽一份力some people watch him有些观众可能会might give their old Lego bricks to charity把旧乐高捐给慈善机构or to friends或者送给朋友but I guess this is the way但我觉得这种方式of reusing Lego by earning a bit of money as well既能重复利用乐高，还能赚点钱we want to make Lego more affordable in essence我们本质上想让乐高更平价so you can get more Lego free pocket money这样你用零花钱就能买更多乐高Lego is quite expensive乐高本来就挺贵的so we want to have a chance or have the opportunity所以我们希望能有机会have more people to be able to buy use Lego sets让更多人买得起二手乐高套装it's been really cool to see how the team here use看到这里的团队用技术technology to help them sort out Lego bricks and look分类乐高真的很酷，你看I found one last piece我找到了最后一块零件thanks to graft多亏了大家的努力okay next we go to Peru好的，接下来我们去秘鲁Turkey and South Africa土耳其和南非as we find out more about your planet here's Jenny了解更多地球资讯，有请珍妮first we're traveling to the west coast of Turkey首先我们前往土耳其西海岸to the famous去著名的Turtle Beach in Mugla穆拉省海龟海滩and true to its name正如它的名字一样it's estimated据估计this year 30 thousand baby loggerhead turtles今年有三万只蠵龟幼崽have hatched and taken their first steps for fins破壳而出，迈出了第一步on their very first journey to the sea踏上前往大海的首次旅程the cute creatures are listed as vulnerable这种可爱生物属于易危物种and face lots of threats in the wild在野外面临诸多威胁so having a strong breeding season like this所以像这样的繁殖旺季is really important意义十分重大next to Lima in Peru接下来我们去秘鲁利马where fish markets and ports这里的鱼市和港口are seeing more of these feathery visitors迎来了更多这类长羽毛访客searching for food前来觅食peruvian pelicans usually feast on anchovies秘鲁鹈鹕通常以鳀鱼为食but as waters但由于海水along the coast沿岸的have been warming持续升温because of a weather phenomenon called El Nino这是厄尔尼诺现象导致的their food source has moved into deeper它们的食物已转移到更深的cooler water and become less available更冷水域，更难获取which is why some humans因此一些民众have decided to step in to help决定出手相助classified as endangered in Peru鹈鹕在秘鲁属濒危物种pelicans also face threats from illegal hunting它们还面临非法捕猎威胁and disease which has seen the population drop以及疾病威胁，数量骤降by about 40 thousand birds已减少约4万只finally we're heading to the west coast of South Africa最后我们前往南非西海岸where small numbers of leopards have been seen那里近期出现了少量豹子for the first time in more than 170 years这是170多年来首次among the tiny population在这一小群豹子中2 cubs have even been spotted甚至发现了2只幼崽pardon the pun恕我玩个梗whilst this is a good thing for biodiversity虽然这对生物多样性是好事it has caused concern amongst farmers但却引发了农民的担忧who are worried about the risk to their sheep他们担心自家的羊and livestock from the predators和其他牲畜遭捕食者袭击so因此conservationists are planning to work with the farmers环保人士计划与农民合作in the hope that both groups thrive希望两方都能和谐共存thanks Jenny okay last up who doesn't love an app谢谢珍妮，最后一条：谁不爱APP呢I definitely do well我肯定爱用these people in Japan have turned napping日本这群人把午睡into a competition to see who could sleep the longest办成了比赛，比谁睡得最久sleep hey everyone it's Thursday the first of October大家好，今天是10月1日星期四I'm Nina here with your BBC News round first up today我是妮娜，今天BBC新闻首条是between 2009 and 20182009到2018年间Manchester City won 3 Premier Leagues曼城三次夺得英超冠军the FA Cup and 3 League Cups一次足总杯和三次联赛杯but now但现在some people are calling for them to be stripped有人要求剥夺他们的of them all it's所有这些奖项。这是after the Premier League因为英超联赛found them guilty of breaking money rules认定其违反财务规定during a period这段时期他们when they spent more than a billion pounds花费超10亿英镑on superstar players引进超级球星their punishment could include a big fine处罚可能包括巨额罚款losing points扣分or even getting kicked out of the Premier League甚至被逐出英超联赛BBC Sports Sam Harris centers thisBBC体育的山姆·哈里斯为您news round so what a Manchester City actually guilty of报道此事。那么曼城究竟有何过错well back in the day早些时候there used to be a different set of rules有一套不同的规定around how much money关于英超俱乐部a Premier League club could spend可支出的金额上限essentially they couldn't spend more money原则上支出不能超过than they may do things like sponsorship now赞助等渠道的收入an investigation has found that Manchester City said调查发现曼城声称they've made ￡830,000,000 sponsorship他们有8.3亿英镑赞助收入but that was actually money但这些钱实际上which came from other companies来自其他公司owned by Manchester city's ownership group隶属于曼城母公司but why is this such a big deal well with that money为什么这事关重大？因为用这笔钱they then went on to buy the world's best players他们买下了全球顶级球员they brought in the likes of Kevin de Brogner引进了德布劳内这类球员Raheem Sterling拉希姆·斯特林all those big names that won him这些大牌球员帮球队loads of trophies赢得了大量奖杯and that money而这笔钱wasn't actually coming实际上并非来自from where they said it was from他们声称的来源so the even bigger question now所以现在更大的问题是would Manchester City have been so successful如果没有这些大牌球员，曼城if they didn't have those big players还能取得这么好的成绩吗Manchester City曼城方面have said many times that they are not guilty多次声称自己无罪and that they will appeal or challenge并将对这一有罪判决the decision to find them guilty提起上诉well we've been asking some football fans我们采访了一些球迷what they think should happen询问他们的看法I felt really sad because我很难过，因为that is my favorite club这是我最爱的俱乐部I just feel disappointed about my team我对我的球队很失望I found it really devastating because I'm a City fan我特别崩溃，因为我是曼城球迷and I love City so much我超爱曼城的I've been sporting it my whole life and I just hate it我一辈子支持它，真的气死了I'm reunite it's fun so I'm pretty happy重聚挺好玩的，我挺开心的like I'm pretty happy about the news听到这个消息我很开心and the fact that they could get relegated还有他们可能会降级这事they totally deserve it他们完全活该say it's been like这么多年来dominating the Premier League for ages曼城一直统治英超and now all the teams get to have a chance现在所有球队都有机会to win the Premier League赢下英超冠军I think maybe我觉得可能they might have to give like a couple of trophies back他们得退还几个奖杯I think a fair punishment would be that Manchester City我觉得公平的处罚是曼城get relegated直接降级they say sorry to all the teams向所有球队道歉and they promise to never do it again in the future承诺以后再也不犯and they should get some points deducted还应该扣他们的积分they should lose some trophies because of it得没收几个奖杯作为惩罚our Manchester City fan我是曼城球迷and I think that a point deduction我觉得扣除积分and possibly a relegation should happen甚至降级都是可以的but I don't think we should lose our trophies但我们不该被没收奖杯because we had to have played well因为我们当时踢得确实好to get off to that stage才能拿到那个成绩because cheating can't just get you there easily光靠作弊不可能轻松做到的but it can help you get better但作弊确实有帮助yes she对，我is the one thing that annoys me the most最烦的就是这点because I play football因为我自己踢足球and whenever someone's like每次有人犯规什么的a foul or something it's obvious明摆着就是故意的and if you get caught that's what annoys me a lot被抓到的话我就特别生气I think she's on fire because everyone is good to have我觉得她生气很正常，每个人都their own right有自己的立场really if you cheat in sports while you're cheating on真的，体育作弊就是欺骗yourself or on your whole team你自己，还有整个队伍thanks guys okay谢谢大家，好了moving on now and here's an important question接下来有个重要问题if something serious was to happen如果发生紧急情况would you know how to properly call 999你知道怎么正确拨打999吗or Degraft has been finding out more迪格拉夫带来了更多报道999 3 numbers that we all hope we never have to call999，这三个号码我们都希望永远不用打but if we do how do we do it and what happens但真要打的话，该怎么做？会发生什么？here in the UK在英国when you ring 999你拨打999的时候you're put through to the emergency services会接到紧急服务中心which are the police包括警方the ambulance救护车for the fire service还有消防部门today I'm with the police force in Greater Manchester今天我和大曼彻斯特警方在一起to see what happens来了解接警流程between 999 and ask for the police从拨打999报警到when someone calls 999有人拨打999时for example a log will pop up on the screen比如屏幕会弹出报案记录the car will come straight through there's no light来电直接接入 没有提示灯you don't answer不用手动接听it just comes straight through to the headset直接转到你的耳机里and then you'll instantly ask what's going on你要立刻询问发生了什么or start talking或是先开口沟通and when you're on the call你接电话的时候what kind of information are you looking for需要收集哪些信息呢the main thing is you want to know最核心的是要知道where they are他们的位置that's the first thing这是第一位的you want to get where they are in case your is先确认位置 以防an immediate response is needed需要立刻出警you need to know where they are你必须知道事发地点and what we look for另外我们还要留意is always listening for anything所有异常声音even that background noise in the car哪怕是车里的背景噪音if you wear landfill流入自然或被填埋and when it's burnt若被焚烧this can create toxic fumes会产生有毒气体however one organization is determined to change this但有一组织决心改变现状by turning plastic waste他们将塑料垃圾into something that can be used in schools制成学校可用的物品BBC World Service reporter JusticeBBC全球服务记者贾斯蒂斯Badu and I have been looking into it和我一同展开了调查this here is sachet这是袋装water it is饮用水，是the way that many people in Ghana and across Africa加纳及非洲多地民众get their drinking water获取饮用水的方式but what happens after it's been used and the rubber但使用后这些塑料被丢弃dumped away I've come to this place where this之后会怎样？我来到这里is turned into这些塑料会被制成desks for schools for children to use供学生使用的校园课桌it might look like a simple desk它看起来就是张普通课桌but even me as someone weighing around 60 kilos可我体重才60公斤左右I could stand on it like this without it breaking站上去也不会把它踩坏or even bending甚至都不会弯but why are they being made well in Ghana但加纳做的质量这么好many children are still using old wooden desks很多孩子还在用旧木课桌and they either share them要么几个人共用or don't have one to study on a releases harmful chemicals into the atmosphere会向大气排放有害化学物质so Making Torch于是“非洲火炬”Africa have set up a scheme组织推出了一项计划where people can bring their plastic民众可以将塑料waste to collection points废品送到收集点and they then shred it and make it into desks粉碎后加工成课桌so far 600目前已有600张desks have been installed in 12 schools across Ghana课桌投入加纳12所学校使用and the该organization wants to double that number in going behind the scenes今天我们就深入幕后at the Metropolitan Police's forensic headquarters来到伦敦大都会警察局的法证总部to discover how detectives use fingerprints看看探员如何用指纹to crack cases侦破案件touch this piece of paper摸一下这张纸now okay with just one finger for now好的 现在只用一根手指you can't see anything there上面什么都看不到吧no but using these we should be able to reveal it没错 但用这些就能显现出来so this is black magnet powder这是黑色磁粉so we're using this magnetic wand that我们用的这根磁棒hopefully will stick to the oils from your skin可以吸附你皮肤分泌的油脂that you've just left behind就是你刚留在纸上的and reveal the fingermark从而显现出指痕you can really see the pattern你能清楚看到纹路and detail of my fingerprint there和我指纹的细节so the sweats and the oils are on the ridges汗液和油脂留在纹路上which you've left behind in the furrows纹路凹槽里没有残留shouldn't have left sweat behind so they stay white所以凹槽还是白色的that is so look at that天呐 你快看看it might just look like the tip of your finger它看起来只是你的指尖but the pattern of loops and swirls is unique to you但纹路的旋涡形状是你独有的no one else in the world has世界上没有其他人有exactly the same fingerprints和你完全相同的指纹before fingerprints在指纹技术出现前police measured body parts to identify criminals警方靠测量身体部位识别罪犯but it wasn't foolproof但这方法并不万无一失2 people could have the same measurements可能有两个人测量数据相同then 125 years ago everything changed125年前 一切都变了in 1901 Edward Henry1901年，爱德华·亨利founded the Fingerprint Bureau成立了指纹管理局to use for identification purposes用于身份识别工作taking them using ink and paper keeping them on files用墨水和纸采集指纹存档lots of paper files大量的纸质档案and then we look at them through之后我们要通过eyeglasses and magnifying glasses眼镜和放大镜来查看time to put my fingerprints to the hand先从右手开始采集so we go right hand先采右手start with your thumb从大拇指开始and we go all the way to your little finger一直采到小拇指roll all the way around整个手指滚一圈amazing and lifts straight up太棒了 直接抬起来就行okay and now we're gonna go into the right thumb box好，现在我们把右拇指放进盒里yeah and again we're gonna start here对，我们再从这里开始fingerprints were just the beginning指纹还只是第一步today scientists can also look for DNA现在科学家还能检测DNAyou can see there你看那边can't you the ink on my thumb看到我拇指上的印油了吧all the way around整个都沾满了and that has left an impressive print on the paper这样就能在纸上留下清晰的指纹and do we need to do all fingers所有手指都要录吗yeah we do all fingers okay对，所有手指都要录from fingerprint detectives in 1901从1901年的指纹探员开始to today's high tech crime labs到如今的高科技犯罪实验室forensic science has come a long way over the past过去这些年法医学进步很大125 years至今已有125年well as for my Hey everyone, Nina here with your BBC Newsround大家好，我是妮娜，为大家带来 BBC 少儿新闻《Newsround》this Friday本周五的内容we're starting with a topic many of you are really首先聊的话题很多人都into and enjoy using非常喜欢，经常使用makeup and skincare就是美妆和护肤产品the popularity of these products这类产品的受欢迎度amongst young people is growing在年轻人中持续攀升by 2028 the number of kids using items like this到2028年，使用这类产品的儿童数量is expected to reach预计将达到more than 160 million worldwide全球超1.6亿but how do you know但你怎么知道if what you're using is safe for your skin你用的产品对皮肤是否安全？well I've been finding out more我特意做了相关了解toner face wash runs her blush and contour mascara爽肤水、洗面奶、腮红、修容、睫毛膏lip glosses and lip balms stuff my eyebrows kind of唇釉、润唇膏，还有眉部产品moisturizer blush and eyeshadow a blush保湿霜、腮红、眼影，还有maybe a bit of concealer and obviously mascarara一点遮瑕，当然还有睫毛膏makeup and skincare products are everywhere美妆护肤产品随处可见popping up in brightly coloured packaging包装色彩鲜亮，在商店里in shops making headlines in the news售卖，也常登上新闻头条and appearing on your social media feeds还会出现在你的社媒推送里where do you see all these makeup and skincare products你都是在哪看到这些美妆护肤产品的？a lot of people很多人post about it like their morning routines会发晨间护肤流程这类内容idols like the public like social media I would say我觉得来自偶像、大众还有社媒I just saw like it around我到处都能看到相关内容TikTok and抖音还有YouTube and stuff and I just thought why not try it油管之类的平台，我就想不如试试that would be fun and it was应该会很好玩，事实也确实如此I saw like Get Ready with Me我看到那种「和我一起准备」的内容and like Day in Life and all stuff like that还有「我的一天」这类内容and I just thought it was dead cool and我觉得这太酷了，而且I wanted to feel like at the trend我也想跟上潮流I was pre scrolling我之前刷手机的时候you see videos like get Ready with Me to go out会刷到出门前的GRWM视频and you'll see all these different products being你会看到各种不同的产品被used trends such as Get Ready with Me拿来用，像GRWM这类热门内容and Day in the Life还有「我的一天」主题are increasing visibility of makeup正提升了美妆产品的曝光度and skin care products还有护肤产品的but which of these products are right但这些产品中哪些适合for young people's skin年轻人的皮肤I met with Dr Emma Wedgeworth, who's a dermatologist我采访了皮肤科医生 Emma Wedgeworth 博士that's a doctor who specializes in skin hair and nails专攻皮肤、毛发和指甲问题Hi, Dr Emma您好，Emma 医生So, Dr Emma那么，Emma 医生just tell me what are the dangers of using请告诉我使用some skin care products不适合年轻人的that might not be good for young people护肤品when you're young有什么危害your skin is actually quite sensitive年轻时皮肤其实很敏感and the outer layer of skin而皮肤的外层which is your skin barrier也就是皮肤屏障can get damaged by harsh很容易被刺激性的products which aren't designed非年轻肌肤专用的for younger skin产品损伤so that's things like retinoids or harsh acids比如视黄醇、强刺激酸类it can become dry red flaky and it can even lead to会导致干燥、泛红、脱屑，甚至引发reactions like eczema and irritancy湿疹、过敏等不良反应So if children have spoken to their parents如果孩子已经和父母and guardians about it以及监护人聊过这件事and they want to experiment with makeup and skincare他们想尝试化妆和护肤what could they be using他们能用什么呢it's really important to remember that一定要记住这一点your skin is an organ皮肤是一种器官it's a living breathing organ是有生命的活器官a bit like your heart and your lungs就像你的心脏和肺and so anything that you put on it所以你涂在皮肤上的东西you want to be careful isn't damaging it都要小心别损伤皮肤just keep it really really simple护肤流程尽量简单就好so gentle cleansing bit of首先温和清洁，再用moisturizer to put back in some hydration保湿霜补充水分and then some protection之后做好防护and if另外如果they want to play around with a little bit of makeup他们想偶尔化点妆玩or something like that或者类似的东西then that's fine那也没问题so I've learned that not all ingredients我发现不是所有成分in skin care products are good for young people's skin都适合年轻人的皮肤but what's the best way to identify these但怎么才能识别它们呢Save FaceSave Faceare a government approved list of trusted healthcare是政府认证的可信医疗professionals in the beauty industry美容行业从业者they are currently asking the government他们目前正请求政府to put a new law in place出台一项新法规around companies针对向儿童selling skincare to children售卖护肤品的企业I spoke with Director Ashton Collins to find out more我采访了阿什顿·柯林斯主任了解详情so Ashton what is it that your company is阿什顿，请问贵司目前asking the government to do请求政府做什么呢we want clear labeling我们要求这类产品on these type of products标注清晰明确so that parents and children know what is方便家长孩子辨别哪些and what isn't suitable for children适合儿童使用and also for the government to utilize同时也请求政府启用the Online Safety Act《网络安全法》to make sure that children are not seeing harmful确保儿童不会接触到有害的adverts and content promoted online网络广告及相关内容Newsround asked the government about this《Newsround》就此询问了政府they said他们回应I can remember how exciting it was to try makeup我还记得第一次尝试化妆品时and skin care products for the first time和护肤品有多兴奋when I was growing up那是我年少的时候those products have got to be safe though但这些产品必须是安全的which is why any cosmetics sold here所以这里售卖的所有化妆品have to follow the government's rules都必须遵守政府规定I'd like to hear more about Save Face's campaign我想进一步了解 Save Face 的倡议and would be happy to meet them to talk more about it也很乐意和他们见面深入沟通Save Face thinks it's not just the governmentSave Face 认为不该只有政府that should be taking responsibility来承担相关责任I think the social media companies我觉得社交媒体公司need to take more accountability for the content需要为平台内容承担更多责任that's being promoted on their platforms也就是其平台上推广的内容and the influences that are还有那些网红博主using their platforms that they know have very在平台发内容，他们很清楚very young audiences and they know are promoting受众年龄非常小，也知道自己推广的products that could cause them harm产品可能会对孩子造成伤害and also the skincare companies themselves另外护肤品牌自身也有责任we spoke to YouTube and TikTok我们已经和YouTube、TikTok沟通过about what they're doing to protect young users询问他们保护未成年用户的举措from unsuitable beauty content来自不当美妆内容TikTok told usTikTok表示it has stronger safeguarding measures for teens对青少年有更严格的保护措施such as not allowing targeted advertising to under 18s比如禁止向18岁以下用户推送定向广告they also pointed他们还指出to the platform as a source of accessible该平台是易于获取的expert led skincare information专家指导护肤信息的来源YouTube saidYouTube称it provides age appropriate experiences for children为儿童提供符合年龄的使用体验works with experts on contents与专家合作把控内容and doesn't allow any product且不允许任何产品advertising to
