Ep. 10 “Where the Waves Take Us” Toyi / 2025-02-01 Toyi and I first met about 12 years ago in Tokyo. A mutual friend introduced us, and somehow this lovely, absolutely wonderful “Foreign Alien” (joking, of course 👾) — stayed at my place. 12 years later, here we are, sharing daily life in London. Who would’ve thought? She’s definitely the one who showed me that even with my broken English, I could still dive into the ocean of my thoughts. I’ve never felt that way before. Oh, and fun fact—this episode title was actually inspired by the track " Where The Waves Take Us " by Purrple Cat, which I use as the BGM for this podcast. Did you know? hehe. When I was editing Ep. 0, I listened to so many BGM options, searching for the right vibe. And then, I fell in love with this one. When I looked at the title, I was shocked—it was exactly the feeling I was trying to capture. We never really know where we’ll end up. But maybe that’s why the waves of joy feel so big when they finally reach us.
