If flexibility is your bottleneck, there is a faster way. But it isn’t passive. And it isn’t comfortable. The fastest method follows a simple sequence: Contract. Stretch. Convert. First, you contract the muscle at end range. Hard. For middle splits, that means driving the legs apart using your glutes.
