Most people rush through June (or December if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere) thinking it’s ‘just cold’, but it’s not. Winter Solstice is one of the most ancient and meaningful turning points on Earth’s calendar, and if you’ve ever wondered why humans from every culture, in every era, stopped everything to celebrate one single night… Well… today you’ll find out. Because Winter Solstice isn’t only the darkest and most Yin day of the year — it’s a powerful reset. A moment where the sun literally stops moving in the sky. A pause so profound that ancient people believed time stood still. And that stillness? It matters for us just as much today as it did thousands of years ago. So if you’ve been feeling tired, stretched thin, or like you could use a good soul-level exhale… This episode on I Love Me The Podcast, is your permission slip to step into the magic of Yule. For 20+ years I’ve been teaching people worldwide how to heal depression and anxiety naturally, strengthen pelvic health, and cultivate radical self-love. In 2011, I founded Getting Naked, an online school offering resources and programs that help people strip away limiting beliefs and childhood conditioning so they can feel confident, connected, free in their bodies and able to love and accept themselves unconditionally. Alongside being a mum, wife, tea lover, and drummer, I’m qualified in more than a dozen holistic healing modalities. I’ve written two books, been published worldwide (print, TV, radio, etc), and often share my passion for self-love, mental health and pelvic wellbeing at yoga and spirituality festivals. My own journey began when I learned how to overcome suicidal depression and anxiety without medication. From that, I created a ten-session self-love therapy program that now helps others do the same. This episode on I Love Me The Podcast breaks open the idea that healing is something ‘out there’ you need to earn, chase, or fight for… and instead shows you what the science, the ancient wisdom, and your own lived experience all confirm: Your body is constantly regenerating.Your cells are always renewing. You are never stuck. But whether we actually heal depends on the environment we create — on the outside and the inside. In this episode you’ll hear: 🌷 Why your body is always trying to heal you — and the scientific evidence showing just how quickly your tissues actually renew. 🌷 The REAL reason people stay sick(It’s not genetics. It’s the environment the body is trying to survive in.) 🌷 How your thoughts and beliefs directly influence cellular behaviourAnd no, this isn’t woo — it’s epigenetics, biology, and quantum physics. 🌷 The ways your symptoms are actually messagesNot punishments. Not failures. Messages. Your body trying to get your attention. 🌷 Exactly how stress blocks healingAnd how to shift your internal environment so your body can finally drop into restoration mode. 🌷 Why emotional healing and physical healing are inseparableMost people try to heal their body while ignoring the beliefs that keep them sick. We go deep into this. 🌷 Simple, practical steps to create the right “conditions” for your body to repair itselfWhole foods, grounding outdoors, sleep cycles, nervous system regulation — and why they matter more than you think. 🌷 The identity shift that changes everything:From “I’m sick” to “I’m healing.”From “this is happening to me” to “my body is communicating with me.” You’ll also hear some of my own healing stories — the things I reversed naturally, the clients who defied timelines and diagnoses, and why the emotional work was the missing piece every single time. This episode is validating, eye-opening, empowering, and deeply practical. And I think you’ll walk away with a brand-new relationship with your body — one rooted in respect, communication, and possibility. I know that feeling well. I’ve been there—thinking my body had let me down, believing that pain meant I was failing somehow. But here’s the truth: Pain isn’t a punishment. It’s a message. A loving call from your body, asking you to slow down, to listen, to nurture yourself. In this week’s episode of I Love Me The Podcast, I share the story of a recurring foot injury that seemed impossible to heal. I tried physical therapy, stretches, strengthening exercises… and yes, they helped—but the real breakthrough came when I stopped trying to “fix” myself and started giving my body radical self-love. I talk about: How to shift from frustration to compassion for your body How to truly listen to your body’s messages instead of ignoring them Simple practices that allow your body to heal from the inside out Because here’s the thing: True healing goes deeper than the surface. Pain, injury, and illness are often connected to long-held beliefs, emotional patterns, and energetic blocks. Healing from the inside out requires more than physical fixes alone—it requires love, awareness, and alignment. Back in 2021, I had the privilege of interviewing someone who has completely shaped the direction of my life — Matt Catling. At the time, this conversation was shared exclusively inside one of my programs, but today I’m thrilled to release it publicly for the very first time. Matt has been a mentor, teacher, and pioneer in the field of personal development. What makes his story so inspiring is that it didn’t begin with success — it began with bullying, anxiety, low confidence, and learning difficulties. Then, at just 12 years old, Matt discovered Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and it changed everything. From struggling at school to becoming a leader in self-healing, mindset mastery, and creating a purposeful life, Matt’s journey shows what’s possible when we commit to transformation. In this episode, we explore: Why commitment is the first pillar of creating change The role of self-love and self-healing in attracting healthy relationships How shifting your energy creates better outcomes than trying to control them Why your wounds hold the key to your mission How to stop emotional leakages, calm internal wars, and unlock your true genius The connection between a parent’s healing and a child’s self-love What it really takes to balance business, family, and purpose without burning out The shifts that allowed Matt to 10x his revenue while doing less AND practical tools, from quitting cigarettes with NLP to creating the right team around you. Matt also shares his personal journey of struggling with romantic relationships, and how getting clear on what he truly wanted — while clearing the barriers within himself — allowed the love of his life to walk in. This episode, on I Love Me The Podcast, is about transformation, self-discovery, and creating the life you were born to live. If you’ve ever wondered how to break free from old wounds, step into your purpose, and design a life filled with meaning, love, and freedom, you’re going to love this timeless conversation. It sounds almost too easy, right? But that’s the beauty of mantras. For mantras are more than just words. They’re energetic codes that speak directly to your subconscious—helping you dissolve self-doubt, reprogram old stories, and align with your most radiant, empowered self. In this week’s episode of I Love Me: The Podcast, I’m sharing how to do exactly that. This episode is your invitation to discover the magic of mantras — why they work, how to use them effectively, and how to create one that speaks straight to your soul. Because here’s the truth: Your mind is listening. Every thought, every phrase, every whispered belief — it’s shaping how you see yourself and what you believe is possible for your life. So… why not make those words powerful? Why not make them loving? Why not use your words to consciously create the life you want to live. When you begin working with mantras, you start to shift your inner dialogue — from criticism to compassion, from doubt to trust, from fear to freedom. And those shifts? They ripple into every area of your life — your relationships, your work, your sense of peace and purpose. This isn’t about “positive thinking.” It’s about energetic alignment — learning to use the power of language to become who you truly are beneath the conditioning. | 10/28/25 | ![]() 76 Dear Me, I Love You: The Power Of A Love Card. | When was the last time you wrote yourself a love letter? Not a text. Not a journal entry. But a real, handwritten message of love — sealed, stamped, and sent through the mail — to you. 💌 It might sound simple (or even a little silly), but this small, heartfelt ritual has the power to open something deep inside you. It’s called The Love Card — and it’s what we’re exploring in this week’s episode of I Love Me The Podcast. In this episode, I share: 🌸 How writing yourself a Love Card can rewire the way you relate to yourself🌸 The exact steps to create this beautiful ritual at home🌸 Why your nervous system needs tangible reminders of your own love🌸 And how receiving that letter back in the mail becomes a sacred act of healing Because the truth is — we’re so conditioned to show others love, but it’s rare that most people pause long enough to love themselves in the same way. This ritual changes that. It takes all the tenderness, appreciation, and compassion you naturally extend to others… and gently turns it back toward you. Imagine opening your mailbox in a few days’ time…and there it is — an envelope with your name, written in your own handwriting. A message from your past self whispering: “I see you. I love you. I’ve got you.” That moment is everything! Listen today, and discover the magic of sending love to the one person who truly needs it — you. Take a peek at the full episode show notes (and resources I refer to in the show) here: https://gettingnaked.com.au/2025/10/29/ep-76-dear-me-i-love-you-the-power-of-a-love-card/ About me… My name is Tamra Mercieca and I’ve been studying and teaching self-love worldwide for 20+ years now. In 2011 I launched my online school Getting Naked where I offer programs to help people strip off the stories and childhood conditioning, so they can fall in love with themselves. While I go by many labels - mumma, wife, tea lover, drummer - professionally I’m known as a Self-Love Therapist, Writer and Women’s Pelvic Health Guide, qualified in over a dozen physical and mental health modalities. I’m the author of two books, have been published in dozens of print and online publications, appeared on TV many times, and love to share the teachings of self-love at yoga and spirituality festivals. Personally, my journey began when I worked out how to overcome suicidal depression and anxiety (and get off my meds). I then went on to create a ten-session program where I now help others do the same. We tell ourselves, “If I can just change this one thing… then I’ll be okay.” But what if true healing doesn’t come from fighting life—but from finally saying yes to it? This week on I Love Me The Podcast, we’re exploring acceptance—not as resignation or defeat, but as one of the most courageous and loving acts of self-care there is. You’ll discover: What acceptance really means (it’s not giving up!) How resisting reality keeps us stuck in suffering Three gentle, practical steps to move from resistance → peace Why acceptance is the doorway to transformation and freedom When we stop resisting life, something softens. Our hearts open. Clarity returns. And suddenly, what once felt impossible begins to shift. I know that ache — because for years, I lived it too. I battled with body dysmorphia, constantly comparing, constantly critiquing, never feeling enough — no matter how “together” I looked on the outside. And what I discovered, after years of trying to fix the outside, is this: The problem was never my body. It was the beliefs I held about my body. The real healing began when I stopped trying to change how I looked — and started changing how I spoke to myself. When I stopped treating my body as something to control, and started treating it as something to honour. That’s what this week’s episode on I Love Me with Tamra Mercieca is all about: How to begin healing body dysmorphia and body shame from the inside out. In this episode, I share my personal story — the raw parts, the healing parts, and the exact practices that helped me move from self-criticism to self-acceptance. Because true beauty doesn’t come from filters, makeup, or weight loss. It comes from softening the way we see ourselves. It comes from love — real, unconditional, inner love. So if you’ve been feeling disconnected from your body… If you find yourself comparing, hiding, or wishing things were different… Please take a few minutes to listen. This might just be the episode that starts your journey home to yourself. 💗 Take a peek at the full episode show notes (and resources I refer to in the show) here: https://gettingnaked.com.au/2025/10/14/ep-74-body-dysmorphia-falling-in-love-with-your-looks/ About me… Hi, I’m Tamra Mercieca, a Self-Love Therapist, Women’s Pelvic Health Guide, and host of I Love Me The Podcast. On the podcast, I share personal stories, tools and science-backed down-to-earth practices for emotional healing, women’s health, and living with more joy and freedom. Today on I Love Me The Podcast we’re exploring the true purpose of guilt, and how to use guilt to evolve into a more aligned, heart-centred being.
