How We Measure Momentum on the US Comedy Chart
A single day on a podcast chart tells you almost nothing. A comedy show can jump forty places because a guest clip went around on a Tuesday, then give the whole gain back by Friday. So instead of comparing one day to another, we average each show's rank across the three most recent snapshots we hold and compare that to its average across the three snapshots before them. The recent window here is September 19, September 8, and September 4, 2026. The prior window is August 18, August 8, and July 31, 2026.
The difference between those two averages is the number we rank by. A show that went from an average of 86 to an average of 44, as Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus did, is up 42 places. That figure is resistant to a one-day spike in a way a raw rank change is not, and it is the same method behind the rising this month section inside every CastFox genre listicle.
Shows that were not in the top 100 on any of the three prior dates are a special case. We do not invent a rank for them and we do not claim they climbed from a position they never held. They are labeled as outside the top 100 in the prior window. In comedy that applies to exactly one show, The Sebastian Maniscalco Show. One other detail is worth knowing before you read the table: a show needs to appear on at least two of the three recent dates to qualify, so a recent average can be built from two snapshots rather than three. And That's Why We Drink is the only case of that here, and its card says so.

What changed for these feeds was distribution, a guest, or a news cycle, not their existence. That matters commercially, because a deep feed can absorb a sponsor or a guest immediately, and it also means a rate card exists and someone already knows what the show is worth.
Check the snapshot count before you believe the move
Appearances are printed on every card for a reason. Three of 25 means the show cleared the top 100 three times in seven months. Twenty-five of 25 means it has never dropped out. Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce sits at 25 of 25, holds the best recent average in the data at 16.3, and still gained 14.7 places, which is the strongest combination here. At the other end, Absolutely Not at 10 of 25 and The Kirk Minihane Show at 5 of 25 are the two records you should verify yourself before committing budget.
Country count separates a US story from a global one
The countries column counts how many national top 100 charts a show appeared in on the most recent snapshot, out of the 78 CastFox tracks. Therapuss with Jake Shane is in 47 and The Bald and the Beautiful is in 32, which makes them genuinely international buys. Wiser Than Me and Flagrant are in 18, Club Random in 16. We hold 25 snapshots of it between February 24 and September 19, 2026. For each show we averaged its rank across the three most recent snapshots and across the three before them, then ranked by the difference, largest first. A show must appear on at least two of the three recent dates to be included. Shows missing from the top 100 across the entire prior window are labeled as outside the top 100 rather than assigned a rank.
Show details, including host names, episode counts, cadence, and subject matter, come from the podcast's own feed description and its CastFox profile. Nothing on this page is a download estimate, an audience size, or a revenue figure, because Apple does not publish any of those and we do not model them into a chart post. Chart position is a measure of attention, not of quality, and several shows here carry explicit content warnings in their own descriptions, which we note on the cards rather than filter out.
One show in the top 20 by rank movement is not profiled here. Toni and Ryan, listed under hosts Toni Lodge and Ryan Jon, moved up 13.7 places to an average rank of 56.3 and charts in 43 countries, which is the third widest reach in the set. We hold no feed description or episode count for it, so there is nothing we could say about the show itself that we could support.
