Best Podcasts for B2B SaaS Advertising in 2026
Updated October 2026 · Based on CastFox data covering 28 daily Apple Podcasts chart snapshots in the United States (2026-02-24 to 2026-10-13), 2,867 episode records and 1,515 detected host-read ad reads across the top 40 technology, business, and marketing shows.
The best podcasts for B2B SaaS advertising in 2026 are the 30 shows, out of 120 we scanned, that already carry at least one software or developer tool sponsor. That is the whole shortlist, and it is a short one: 120 shows held a top 100 chart position in technology, business, or marketing across every one of our 28 snapshots this year, 55 of them carried any detectable host-read sponsor, and only 30 carried a B2B software brand. The other 90 are not closed to you, but nobody has proved the audience converts for software yet.
This is not a list of the biggest podcasts. It is a list of the shows where software companies are spending now, which is a different and more useful thing when you are picking a first flight. Across these three genres we detected 1,515 host-read ad reads from 154 distinct sponsor brands, and 64 of those brands sell B2B software or developer tools. Those 64 brands account for 607 of the ad reads we could attribute, so roughly half the commercial inventory in these genres is already being bought by companies that sell what you sell.
Below is the shortlist with each show's chart record, country reach, and detected sponsor load, then a tier-by-tier read on which audience each one actually delivers, which software brands are buying across several shows at once, what a 2026 B2B flight costs, and how to vet a specific show before you commit. For the strategy layer behind the buy, read Podcast Advertising for SaaS Companies and B2B Podcast Advertising: How to Reach Decision-Makers. This post is the show list those two guides point at.

The 2026 Shortlist: Shows That Already Run Software Ads
Every row below held a top 100 position in its genre on at least 27 of our 28 US chart snapshots between February 24 and October 13, 2026. "Software sponsors" counts the distinct B2B software and developer tool brands we detected in that show's recent episodes, and "ad reads" counts every detected host-read mention, software or not. The two columns together tell you whether a show sells ads at all and whether software brands are the ones buying.

Read the last two columns against each other before you read either one alone. The AI Daily Brief carries by far the most ad reads of any show we scanned, 286, but only 10 of its sponsors are software brands, because a daily show with that much inventory sells to everyone. How I AI carries a fifth as many ad reads and 15 software sponsors, which means almost its entire ad pod is companies selling to the same buyer you are. One of those is a reach buy and the other is a category buy, and they are priced and measured differently.
Best Podcasts to Advertise B2B Software
The shows where software ads work hardest fall into three groups, and the group matters more than the rank. A daily AI news show, a product management interview show, and a security roundtable all sit in the technology chart, but they deliver three different buyers and sell inventory on three different terms.
Daily AI and tech news: the highest ad load in the sample
The AI Daily Brief, hosted by Nathaniel Whittemore, is a daily news analysis show covering artificial intelligence from tooling to policy. It held an average rank of 6.2 in the US technology chart across all 28 snapshots and charts in 33 countries, and we detected 286 host-read ad reads in its recent episodes, more than any other show in the three genres. Ten of its sponsors are software brands, among them Retool, Drata, Blitzy, AssemblyAI, Outsystems, and Mercury. Daily cadence means inventory is close to unlimited, so this is where to buy volume rather than scarcity.
TBPN, hosted by John Coogan and Jordi Hays, is a live weekday tech talk show that also posts full episodes to podcast feeds. It averaged rank 29.3 with a best of 3 and charts in 23 countries, and we detected 183 ad reads including Ramp, Figma, MongoDB, CrowdStrike, Cisco, and Railway. The sponsor list skews to companies selling to founders and engineering leaders, which is a useful signal about who is actually in the audience.
Waveform: The MKBHD Podcast is a consumer technology show and the odd one out here, with 38 detected ad reads and four software sponsors including Framer and Zapier. It charts in 34 countries, so it is a reach buy for a product with a prosumer entry point, not an enterprise one.
Product, growth, and engineering shows where software is the whole ad pod
How I AI, hosted by Claire Vo, runs 30-minute episodes in which a guest demonstrates one practical way they use AI in their work. We detected 15 distinct software sponsors on it, the highest count in the sample, including WorkOS, Cursor, Jira, Metaview, ThoughtSpot, Celigo, and Merge. If your product is a tool that a product or engineering team adopts directly, this is the most concentrated audience we found.
Lenny's Podcast, hosted by Lenny Rachitsky, interviews product leaders and growth experts. It averaged rank 21.3, charts in 33 countries, and every one of the eight sponsors we detected is B2B software: WorkOS, Mercury, Vanta, Omni, Orkes, Lovable, Metaview, and DX. A pod with no consumer brands in it is unusual and tells you the show sells category exclusivity well.
The Pragmatic Engineer, hosted by Gergely Orosz, covers software engineering at big tech companies and startups. Its average rank of 68.8 is the lowest on the shortlist, and that is the point: it charts in 22 countries with eight developer-tool sponsors including Sentry, Statsig, Buildkite, Antithesis, turbopuffer, and Sonar. Shows like this are bought for who listens, not how many.
Latent Space is the counter-example worth knowing about. It is a podcast for AI engineers covering foundation models, code generation, and agents, it charts in 22 countries on all 28 snapshots, and we detected a single ad read on it. An audience that specific with almost no sponsor competition is either an opportunity or a show that does not sell ads, and that is a question to ask the host directly.
Security shows that reach the buyer with the budget
Security Now, with Steve Gibson and Leo Laporte, is a weekly cybersecurity roundtable. We detected 108 ad reads and 12 software sponsors on it, including ThreatLocker, Arctic Wolf, Cohesity, Material Security, GuardSquare, Hoxhunt, and Box. For a security or infrastructure product this is the densest concentration of in-category buyers in the sample.
Darknet Diaries, hosted by Jack Rhysider, tells true stories of hacking, breaches, and cybercrime. It charts in 32 countries with an average rank of 20.6 and carries 12 software sponsors including ThreatLocker, Drata, Doppel, Material Security, Sentry, and Adaptive Security, on only 26 detected ad reads. Few slots, high demand, long lead times.
This Week in Tech, the TWiT flagship with Leo Laporte and a weekly panel, carries 11 software sponsors across 16 detected ad reads, including Zscaler, OutSystems, Box, Superhuman, Scribe, and NetSuite. Both TWiT shows also sell an ad-free subscription tier, so ask how the paid feed affects the impressions you are buying.
Podcasts That Reach SaaS Buyers
Engineering and product shows reach the people who use the tool. Marketing, operations, and founder shows reach the people who sign for it. If your deal needs a budget holder rather than a champion, the shortlist looks different, and it is thinner, because marketing shows carry the least sponsor load of the three genres we scanned at 0.17 detected ad reads per episode.
The Dave Gerhardt Show from Exit Five is the clearest B2B marketing buy in the data. It interviews marketers on tactics and strategy, charted on 27 of 28 snapshots, and carries eight software sponsors on 25 detected ad reads: Optimizely, Webflow, Customer.io, Consensus, Knak, Convertr, Vector, and Zoom Webinars and Events. Every one of those sells to a marketing team, which is as close to a pure ICP match as a podcast ad pod gets.
Do This, NOT That with Jay Schwedelson runs short daily marketing tips and carries CallRail and Knak. The Marketing Millennials, hosted by Daniel Murray, charts in nine countries and carries Wrike across 17 detected ad reads. Uncensored CMO, hosted by Jon Evans, reaches 22 countries and runs HubSpot and System1. Marketing Against The Grain is made by HubSpot Media and hosted by its CMO and SVP of Marketing, so treat it as owned media with a 28-country footprint rather than open inventory.
Two shows outside marketing reach budget holders well. Omni Talk Retail, with Chris Walton and Anne Mezzenga, covers retail technology and e-commerce and carries six enterprise software sponsors including Mirakl, Quorso, Instacart Enterprise, Vusion, and Sifter Solutions. It charts in one country, so it is a pure US vertical buy. Founders, hosted by David Senra, reads a biography of an entrepreneur each week, charts in 29 countries, and carries Ramp, Vanta, and Sage across 37 detected ad reads, which is the founder-and-finance audience rather than the practitioner one.
Acquired, with Ben Gilbert and David Rosenthal, sits in a category of its own: average rank 2.6, a best rank of 1, 36 countries, and seven software sponsors including WorkOS, ServiceNow, Vercel, Statsig, Sentry, and Intapp. It is the most expensive kind of inventory on this list and the one most likely to be sold out, but the mix of enterprise and developer brands buying it says the audience spans both.
Best Tech Podcasts for B2B Sponsors
If you only have budget for one genre, the data says technology, and the margin is not close. Across the top 40 shows in each genre we scanned 2,867 episode records and found technology running 1.12 detected host-read ad reads per episode against 0.32 in business and 0.17 in marketing. The same gap shows up in how many shows are commercially active at all.
| Genre chart (US top 40) | Episode records scanned | Detected ad reads | Ad reads per episode | Shows carrying any sponsor | Shows carrying a software sponsor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technology | 907 | 1,012 | 1.12 | 22 of 40 | 15 of 40 |
| Business | 1,147 | 362 | 0.32 | 17 of 40 | 6 of 40 |
| Marketing | 813 | 141 | 0.17 | 16 of 40 | 9 of 40 |
Business is the trap in that table. It scans the most episodes and produces the second-highest ad read total, but most of that volume sits on personal finance and consumer shows: the single most ad-heavy business show in our sample carried 128 detected reads, and its sponsors are debt relief, credit, mobile, and supplement brands. Only 6 of the 40 business shows carried any software sponsor at all. A B2B SaaS brand buying "business podcasts" on genre alone will mostly buy consumer finance inventory.
Three more technology shows are worth naming for a software buy. Lex Fridman Podcast charts in 36 countries with an average rank of 12.0 and carries seven software sponsors including Blitzy, Perplexity, CodeRabbit, NetSuite, and Fin alongside consumer brands, so it behaves like a mass-reach buy with a technical skew. Dwarkesh Podcast, deeply researched interviews from Dwarkesh Patel, charts in 30 countries with a best rank of 1 and carries Antithesis, Mercury, Cursor, and Labelbox on only 14 detected ad reads, which is exactly the scarce-inventory, high-intent profile that developer tool brands pay up for. Practical AI, with Daniel Whitenack and Chris Benson, charts in 25 countries and carries Framer and Prediction Guard.

The Software Brands Buying Several Shows at Once
A brand that appears on one show may have been sold a one-off. A brand that appears on three or four has a podcast line in its budget and a measurement system behind it, which makes its show list the most useful shortlist in this post. These are the B2B software brands we detected on more than one of the 120 shows.
| Software sponsor | Shows in our sample | Detected ad reads | Where we detected it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercury | 4 | 39 | Lenny's Podcast, Dwarkesh Podcast, The AI Daily Brief, How I AI |
| WorkOS | 4 | 31 | Lenny's Podcast, How I AI, The Pragmatic Engineer, Acquired |
| NetSuite | 4 | 7 | Lex Fridman Podcast, This Week in Tech, Darknet Diaries, Financial Audit |
| ThreatLocker | 3 | 17 | Darknet Diaries, Security Now, This Week in Tech |
| Vanta | 3 | 15 | Deep Questions with Cal Newport, Lenny's Podcast, Founders |
| Outsystems | 3 | 13 | The AI Daily Brief, Security Now, This Week in Tech |
| Doppel | 3 | 10 | Darknet Diaries, Security Now, This Week in Tech |
| Meter | 3 | 8 | Darknet Diaries, Security Now, This Week in Tech |
| Ramp | 2 | 30 | TBPN, Founders |
| Blitzy | 2 | 24 | The AI Daily Brief, Lex Fridman Podcast |
| Framer | 2 | 18 | Practical AI, Waveform |
| Drata | 2 | 13 | Darknet Diaries, The AI Daily Brief |
| Antithesis | 2 | 11 | The Pragmatic Engineer, Dwarkesh Podcast |
| Knak | 2 | 9 | Do This NOT That, The Dave Gerhardt Show |
| Sentry | 2 | 6 | The Pragmatic Engineer, Acquired |
Three patterns are worth copying. Security brands buy the security cluster as a block: ThreatLocker, Doppel, and Meter each run across the same three shows, which means those shows are sold as a package or by the same rep, and a fourth security brand should expect to be quoted the same way. Compliance and spend-management brands such as Vanta, Drata, and Ramp buy across clusters instead, pairing a practitioner show with a founder show. And four brands we detected, WorkOS, Mercury, Metaview, and DX, reach the product-leader audience through combinations of Lenny's Podcast, How I AI, and The Pragmatic Engineer, the tightest cluster in the sample for anything sold to product and engineering teams.
B2B Podcast Advertising 2026: What a Flight Costs
CastFox measures demand, not invoices. No show in our sample publishes a rate card and we do not see what anyone paid, so the figures below are typical 2026 industry ranges and should be treated as a starting bracket for a negotiation rather than as CastFox statistics. What our data does tell you is where on the range a given show is likely to sit, because a show with 12 software sponsors and 32-country reach has pricing power and a show with one sponsor does not.
| Buy type | Typical 2026 host-read CPM (industry range) | Typical minimum commitment | What it suits in B2B SaaS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Niche developer or practitioner show | $25 to $50 | 4 to 8 episodes | Dev tools, security, infrastructure with a self-serve or trial motion |
| Mid-chart category show | $20 to $40 | 1 to 3 months | Product, growth, and marketing SaaS with a demo-request motion |
| Top 10 chart show or network package | $18 to $30 | Quarterly flight | Brand and category awareness, enterprise account-based support |
| Daily news show, high inventory | $18 to $28 | Weekly volume | Frequency against a defined audience, launch windows |
Two structural notes matter more than the CPM. B2B flights almost always need a longer window than consumer ones, because the thing you are measuring is a demo request or a trial start from a buying committee, not an impulse purchase with a promo code. And the small, high-intent shows in this data carry the fewest slots: Darknet Diaries produced 26 detected ad reads in the window and Dwarkesh Podcast produced 14, so those are sold out months ahead and priced accordingly. For the download-tier view of rates see Podcast Sponsorship Rates by Audience Size 2026, and for the genre view Podcast Advertising CPM Benchmarks by Genre 2026.
How to Advertise SaaS on Podcasts
The practical sequence for a first B2B SaaS flight in 2026 is narrower than most media plans make it look, because the pool of shows that have already proved they sell software is 30 shows wide in these three genres, not 300.
Start by picking the motion, not the show. A self-serve or trial product wants practitioner shows where the listener can act alone: How I AI, The Pragmatic Engineer, Security Now, Darknet Diaries. A sales-led product with a demo-request motion wants shows where budget holders listen: The Dave Gerhardt Show, Founders, Omni Talk Retail, Acquired. Buying the wrong side of that line is the most common reason a B2B podcast test reads as a failure when the creative and the show were both fine.
Then copy a competitor's map. Take the brands in the repeat-buyer table above that sell something adjacent to your product and look at the shows they have been running on for months, because a brand that renews has attribution you do not have yet. If you sell compliance or security tooling, the three-show security cluster is already validated. If you sell a developer tool, the Lenny's Podcast, How I AI, and The Pragmatic Engineer cluster is.
Buy a window, not an episode. Our consistency data exists because a single chart week says very little: the 120 shows in this sample are the ones that held position across eight months. Apply the same standard to your flight and plan four to eight episodes across two or three shows rather than one read on six shows, so you can tell a show effect from a week effect.
Finally, give each show its own landing path. Every repeat buyer in our data uses a per-show vanity URL or promo code, which is how they can tell which of their four shows is working. Host-read attribution is weak by default and that one step is most of the fix. For the measurement side in detail, read How to Measure Podcast Advertising ROI.
How to Vet a Show Before Sponsoring or Pitching It
Once you have a shortlist, the work is proving each show is what it looks like before money moves. This is the CastFox workflow, and it maps to four steps.
Discover: build the candidate list from the chart, not from memory
Start from shows with a chart record rather than from the names you already know. CastFox discovery covers millions of shows across 78 country charts, so you can filter to technology, business, or marketing shows that hold top 100 positions consistently, then narrow by country if your product only sells in one. The 120 shows behind this post were selected exactly that way, and the 30 that carry software sponsors came out of that pool rather than out of a curated list.
Analyze: check the commercial history before you ask for a rate
CastFox analysis shows each show's chart record across every snapshot we hold, how many of the 78 countries it reaches, and the sponsors detected in its recent episodes. Three things to look for: whether any brand in your category has run on it, whether sponsors repeat across months or appear once, and whether the country reach matches where you sell. A show quoting a top-tier rate with no detected ad history and single-country reach is a conversation to have before a contract, not after.
Organize: keep the shortlist and the outreach in one place
CastFox lists hold your shortlist with the contact routes, the chart and sponsor evidence, and the status of each conversation attached to the show. For a flight across two or three shows per quarter this matters less; for an always-on program across 20 shows it is the difference between a renewal calendar and a spreadsheet nobody updates.
Pitch: lead with the fit you can prove
CastFox pitching drafts the outreach from what the data shows about the show. For a sponsorship inquiry, the version that gets a reply names the category brands already running on the show, the specific segment or episode type you want to sit in, and the window you are buying, rather than asking for a media kit. The same discipline applies if your route in is guesting instead of advertising: see Podcast Guesting vs Podcast Advertising.
Methodology: Where These Numbers Come From
CastFox records the Apple Podcasts top 100 for every genre in 78 countries every day. For this post we took the United States charts for technology, business, and marketing across 28 snapshots between February 24 and October 13, 2026, ranked each genre by chart consistency, and took the top 40 shows from each, for 120 shows in total.
For each of those shows we scanned recent episodes that have been through our named-entity processing and counted detected host-read sponsor mentions: 2,867 episode records and 1,515 ad reads in total. Detection is automated, so a sponsor read in an unusual format can be missed and a brand mentioned editorially can occasionally be counted. Treat a show's ad read count as a reliable signal of commercial activity and an approximate count of placements, not an audited log.
We then classified each of the 154 most active sponsor brands by what the company sells and counted 64 as B2B software or developer tools. That classification is editorial, made from the brand's own product category, and reasonable people would move two or three names across the line. Chart positions, country counts, snapshot counts, and ad read counts are measured. Show descriptions and host names come from each show's own feed metadata. The CPM figures in the cost section are typical industry ranges and are not CastFox measurements.
Shows are listed by the number of distinct software sponsors detected, which is a measure of category demand rather than of audience size, quality, or editorial merit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best podcasts for B2B SaaS advertising in 2026?
Based on CastFox sponsor detection across the top 40 US technology, business, and marketing shows, the shows carrying the most distinct B2B software sponsors in 2026 are How I AI with 15, Security Now and Darknet Diaries with 12 each, This Week in Tech with 11, and The AI Daily Brief with 10. Lenny's Podcast, The Pragmatic Engineer, TBPN, and The Dave Gerhardt Show each carry eight. Those nine shows are where software brands are already spending, which makes them the shortest path to a validated first flight.
Which podcasts reach SaaS buyers rather than SaaS users?
Founder, operator, and marketing leadership shows. In our 2026 sample The Dave Gerhardt Show carries eight B2B marketing software sponsors, Founders carries Ramp, Vanta, and Sage across 37 detected ad reads with 29-country reach, Omni Talk Retail carries six enterprise retail software brands in a single-country US audience, and Acquired carries seven including ServiceNow and Intapp. Practitioner shows such as The Pragmatic Engineer reach the champion who will try your product, not the person who signs the contract.
How much does B2B podcast advertising cost in 2026?
Typical 2026 host-read CPMs run about $25 to $50 on niche developer and practitioner shows, $20 to $40 on mid-chart category shows, and $18 to $30 on top 10 shows and network packages, with B2B flights usually sold in four to eight episode blocks or quarterly. Those are industry ranges rather than CastFox statistics, because no show in our sample publishes a rate card. What CastFox can tell you is which shows have the sponsor demand to hold the top of their range.
Is podcast advertising worth it for B2B software companies?
The evidence from the buy side is that a core group of software brands keeps renewing: Mercury and WorkOS each ran on four of the 120 shows we scanned, and ThreatLocker, Vanta, Outsystems, Doppel, and Meter each ran on three. Brands do not repeat a channel with no attribution for eight months. The caution is that technology shows carry 1.12 detected ad reads per episode against 0.17 in marketing, so inventory and competition vary enormously by genre and a test in the wrong genre is not a test of the channel.
How do I find podcasts that already have software sponsors?
Look for a show's sponsor history rather than its download claim. CastFox detects the brands running host-read ads in each show's recent episodes alongside its chart record across 78 countries, so you can filter to shows where a brand in your category has run more than once. That filter is what produced the 30 shows in this post out of a pool of 120, and you can run the same check on any show you are considering.
